UPDATE: The developer implemented the requested features, and did so very quickly. We are extremely grateful to him; this is a matter of survival for our company. We want to promote a birthday promotion, and for our most loyal customers whose birthdays are just around the corner, without this feature there would be nothing to promote. Summary: the module has now been updated as we requested, and I think it will be useful to other users too. To the developer: 10 out of 5 ))) and a huge thank you! ____________________ This is a great app; it’s just missing one feature to be perfect. We’ve set it up to send the main email (a birthday email with a promo code) 7 days before the birthday. If a person registers less than 7 days in advance, they won’t receive the birthday email. For example, today is May 4, and they submitted a request stating that their birthday is on May 6. So, he won’t receive a birthday email. He’ll only receive a follow-up email on May 9th informing him that you didn’t use your promo code. We can’t schedule the email to be sent on the birthday itself or one day before—we prepare the food, and our customers place their orders well in advance of the birthday. This is easy for the developer to fix; just please add a couple of lines of code: "If the specified birthday is closer than the date the birthday email is sent, send the birthday email immediately." And here’s another thing: we specify that the promo code is valid for 30 days. So add this line of code: "If the birthday has already passed but is within the promo code’s validity period, send a Birthday email immediately (and a follow-up email three days later)." Thank you, and we would really appreciate it if you could let us know when this feature will be added.

I really like this module; it looks very promising. Everything is simple and ingenious, with nothing superfluous. Unfortunately, however, I have to uninstall it after setting it up because it’s missing one crucial and essential configuration option: how many days before the birthday to send the email with the promo code. In this module, that setting is fixed and cannot be customized. The instructions state that the email is sent at 10 a.m. on the birthday itself. For industrial goods, that’s +/- OK. But we sell food—and in Germany, no less. People here plan everything six months in advance. Plus, it’s impossible for us to take same-day orders; the minimum production time is two days. I’m writing this review to bring this shortcoming to the developers’ attention. I think there are thousands of sellers like me who need this feature as a customizable option. If possible, please let me know as soon as you implement this in the new version—we’d be happy to use it. Thanks for the feedback.
