We installed AfterSell on Sept 25. From that point on, PayPal checkout stopped working in our store: the PayPal window kept loading and then showed an error, on both mobile and desktop. The same PayPal account worked fine in our other shop, and PayPal support confirmed our account was healthy. Reconnecting PayPal in Shopify did not help. We only found the cause after about one week, because customers simply dropped off at checkout. Our PayPal orders went from roughly half of all orders to zero, and our conversion rate collapsed while we were paying for ads. As soon as we uninstalled AfterSell, PayPal worked again immediately. The app asks for PayPal reference transactions on install, but there was no warning that it could interfere with the existing PayPal checkout. Please be careful and test your PayPal checkout right after installing. We have contacted support and hope for a fix, but for now we cannot recommend this app to stores that rely on PayPal.
