AVOID — The app install broke my entire storefront's product pages I would not install this app until the developer fixes their theme integration, and I am writing this so other merchants don't go through what I just did. On October 13, 2026 at 6:28 PM EDT, I installed this app. Its automatic installation wrote three files into my live theme within 13 seconds — and one of those writes completely destroyed my theme's main product section file (sections/main-product.liquid). The app wiped roughly 509,000 characters of critical theme code and replaced the entire file with the single word "false." Let me be clear about what that meant for my store: the Main Product section — the title, price, variant selector, buy button, all of it — immediately disappeared from EVERY product page. My whole storefront's product pages were broken, live, from one app installation. In the theme editor the section showed no blocks and no settings, because there was no code left behind it to render anything. There was no warning, no consent prompt, nothing indicating the install would overwrite existing theme code. If I had not had a backup copy of my theme and manually restored the destroyed file line by line in the code editor, I would have lost my product section permanently. Many merchants would not have been able to recover from this at all. This is a catastrophic failure in the app's installation process, and after I uninstalled, its leftover files remained in my theme. Combined with the app requiring a separate account signup outside of Shopify, I cannot recommend it in its current state. Avoid this app until the developer fixes their injection — and if you do try it, duplicate your theme first and check your product pages the second installation finishes.

I've tried many review apps before and if this one were to become a bit more user friendly, it would be my favorite. They offer fast support and a lot of free features that aren't free in other apps like AMAZON review importer or sales popup. If you need amazon reviews, I'd definitely recommend this app......

AlphaReviews created a big amount of problems for us. We have several years of customer reviews saved and had some design changes and needed them re-uploaded and published. AlphaReviews CSV format is completely different from the Shopify CSV format (which makes no sense) and demanded a large amount of time having to adjust data and create new fields to match their requirements. After all that work, the publication failed anyways. Also, the new reviews the shop receives doesn't even show from what customer or contact details. A complete waste of time. At present, our service supports importing reviews from a variety of other review providers, such as Judge.me and Loox, via our 'Import Reviews from other reviews provider' feature. Unfortunately, as you've noted, we do not currently support the transfer of reviews from Shopify Product Reviews.
