POS Cafe: Coffee Shops & QSR

Very good team work, after sales support was great when I needed. App works very well for me, I use Shopify POS integrated with POS Cafe, so I have better control on all variation itens I sell. Love it!

We had some issues with our POS systems that spread to all our cafes in the middle of service. We reached out via the help option through POS Cafe and Adam and their team responded very promptly and didn't rest until the issue was solved. They jumped on a call with our team and walked through troubleshooting. We came to find out the issue was caused on the backend of Shopify from something that changed on our website, not POS Cafe, yet they still kindly and effectively walked us through everything to find the solution. Cannot recommend them and their customer service enough!

The POS Cafe app has integrated seamlessly into our coffee shop. In the background, the unlimited modifiers ensure that you can tailor the app to suit your needs whilst working well with Shopify. For FoH, the intuitiveness of the app meant that my staff got to grips with it in one shift, with customers none the wiser of any change to the till. What makes this app so fantastic is the top-tier customer support. Carmen, Adam and the rest of the team are quick to reply and will support with any issue big or small. They are constantly looking for ways to improve the service, and any new fixes/additions comes with a clear guide or explanation. Honestly couldn't recommend POS Cafe and the team more.

Hey, The app is just what is needed when you want a POS cafe and it is well integrated into Shopify. Everything is easy to understand and when you think you are blocked, you can reached out to their really good support team wich will find you a solution.

This is the first review I have ever written in my life — despite having countless reasons and opportunities to do so before. I always thought it simply wasn't worth my time. After a long search for an app to manage our café locations that would actually run well on Shopify POS, I came across the founders of POS Cafe. I have never encountered people as genuinely committed to their customers as Adam and Carmel. Them in Australia, me in Chile — hunting for tiny overlapping windows in our time zones just to tweak a line of code and get a localization working. A while back I mentioned I needed a floor plan feature, and they told me it was in the pipeline. I'd heard that from plenty of vendors before and it never went anywhere. They actually delivered! I've also never experienced anything quite like flagging an improvement to a developer and having them message me back days later to say they'd already figured out how to solve it. The truth is, POS Cafe works — but what's truly the gem here are its founders.

Hands down one of the most responsive developers on the App Store. We’ve had multiple requests/feature changes prioritized and added. Shopify alone makes it impossible for a coffee shop to run. This app solves where Shopify falls short and makes it a home run. I love Shopify but didn’t feel like it was possible to use for a coffee shop until I saw this app. We do decent traffic and need something that’s reliable.

Highly recommend this app if you are running a cafe using Shopify POS. It has made inputting orders so much easier and when paired with Fresh KDS you very easily have a fully automated ordering system, removing all those paper tickets.

We tried this for a pop-up café as we needed a better solution, hand-writing dockets was getting old and Shopify POS isn’t really built for café service. Setup was straightforward, and although we ran into a small issue where the system wasn’t updating on the POS app, the support team responded quickly and resolved it within 10–15 minutes. POS Cafe has been exceptional to work with. We have a retail store, bistro and website fulfillment business. For this reason, we opted for Shopify to be able to manage our inventory in one place. Initially, POS Cafe integrations were limited. This made promotions and running data reports difficult. We were not able to print to our kitchen printers initially either. I reached to POS Cafe and explained what we were in need of. They were responsive and worked diligently to make upgrades and find solutions. Today, POS Cafe prints to multiple printers, we can run sales reports easily and we recently found out it also integrates with a rewards program. We launched Shopify and POS Cafe 9 months ago. The printers were integrated and printing within 2 months and the reports were available within 8 months. I highly recommend POS Cafe.

First and foremost, the POS Cafe app is an excellent add-on for any coffee business. We started our coffee business as a small micro-roaster selling our coffee beans on our Shopify-based website. When the time came to start selling drinks from a coffee trailer this app was the key to tying in our existing Shopify store with a fully functional POS system. We love the functionality to add modifiers and setting up the system is seamless. The online ordering option works very well with a WiFi printer and they are working on improving the functions as I write this review. Adam and Carmel are absolutely amazing, have excellent values, and are ALWAYS responsive and friendly, even if our problems are self-caused :) Despite the time zone difference, they are receptive to our needs as app-users and solution-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement. If you are on the Shopify platform and have a cafe, this app is an amazing tool for ringing in any product with modifiers. Great, timely support by the developers, they will ensure you are 100% set up and are quick to respond when you have issues/questions with shopify.. Easy to tie into your KDS or ticket printer, makes notes on orders, etc.

The app is intuitive and powerful, but what truly sets it apart is its developers who care about small businesses. After I decided to install the app, I was impressed that the developers, Adam and Carmel, reached out to schedule an onboarding call. This personal connection is rare, and it made all the difference getting up to speed using the app. I was also impressed by the video tutorials they have, which walked me through the setup in a clear, step-by-step manner. When Shopify’s quirks caused my sales taxes to be miscalculated, Adam and Carmel quickly explained the issue, provided a workable solution, and followed through until it was permanently fixed. When I needed my receipt customized to make orders easier for my staff to follow, they reworked it. The changes have boosted our accuracy and efficiency. On a busy weekend, the app glitched following a Shopify update. Adam and Carmel guided me through a temporary fix and reassured me that the problem would be resolved in the next update. They responded so promptly, I nearly forgot they are in Australia, and I am in the US. Their responsiveness, kindness, and problem-solving have been beyond anything I’ve ever experienced with a tech product, and I have over 20 apps on my Shopify store. If you have a café and need a great app to add modifiers to your orders, POS Café is for you. You’ll wonder how you ever managed without it.

This app fills a need that Shopify really doesn't cover for those of us selling coffee. That alone is great. But what I have really appreciated from them is the customer service. Much like the other reviewers have mentioned, when we ran into an issue, not only were they willing to jump in and help walk us through where we had missed a setting, but they even did a quick update to the app to fix one we couldn't do on our own. I don't think I can fully put into words how much POS Cafe has positively impacted my business! The app itself is absolutely essential to our day-to-day operations. The POS Cafe team is very attentive and constantly making improvements. We had a small bug when we first integrated the app, and Adam responded within minutes, hopping on a call with me to get it sorted - despite a 17 hour time difference. I can't recommend POS Cafe enough!

POS Café has been great for our cafe & has allowed us to keep all our sales - online store, retail and café on Shopify. It is easy to use, and the support team has been really responsive to our feedback, rolling out new features regularly and having great communication.

Wow, I can't believe how great this app is! We've been looking for something like this for our business for ages. The developers have been fantastic in helping us set it up. We've only been using it for a short while, but it's already been a game changer. It's very user-friendly and easy to pick up and learn in no time. This app changes shopify into a cafe pos so you can add modifiers and notes and names to orders, change the milks, add salt & pepper etc. We've been using it for about a month now and were so happy to be able to leave our previous provider. Any bugs are ironed out quickly and the developers listen and respond. Couldn't be happier. Wish there were ten stars.
