great app and great support

This is still new to me. I'm not done with the free trial. However, so far it has been a good experience. Easy set up. SparkLayer did most of it automatically. I downloaded "Catalogues" so that I could label which products would be available for wholesale purchase. Some of the details were tedious, but that is expected. Help was good. The onboarding call was helpful and clearly explained. The AI help was helpful as well. I like to figure out the navigation of new programs, but this was a little different. Very easy once I asked for help though! I got my first order within a day of sharing the link with a potential customer! They were pleased with the portal as well.

Fantastic solution for managing B2B sales on Shopify. The platform is powerful, flexible, and well documented. What really stands out is the support team. We are not live yet, but so far, the support has been excellent. The team is very responsive, which has not always been our experience with other apps. We chose SparkLayer because we are looking to replace several apps that have not been working properly for our B2B needs. Shopify’s native B2B capabilities still have some important limitations, and in our experience, the overall setup can quickly become quite fragmented. SparkLayer has already helped us address some of these challenges. It’s true that it doesn’t cover every single B2B requirement we have, but it provides a strong approach to solving many of the issues we were facing. What is particularly encouraging is that the product is continuously improving. Since we started this journey, I have already seen two major improvements to the platform. To be completely honest, our initial experience with the sales team was not particularly positive. However, once I decided to reach out to the support team directly, the experience improved significantly. The support team has been responsive, helpful, and much more aligned with what we needed. SparkLayer is not the cheapest option, but I think the real question is how much revenue you may be losing because of a poor customer experience on your website. Before choosing SparkLayer, we conducted user experience research and received very negative feedback from our customers, particularly around the B2B buying experience. We are hoping that SparkLayer will help us address these issues and create a much smoother experience for our customers. So far, we are happy with the direction and, most importantly, with the pace at which the product is evolving.

We’ve been using SparkLayer for our B2B Shopify store and overall we’re really happy with it. Our setup is not always straightforward, with different customer groups, pricing rules, pack sizes, minimum order values and some specific cases like pre-orders. We've been able to handle all these different situations either with the built-in functions or custom-created functions generated via Sparklayer Core Script. The documentation is extremely clear and precise and if we can't find what we want, the support agent is working really nicely. And after a long exchange or an unsuccesful one, the team usually reach out to us within 24 hours. Whenever we’ve had a more unusual requirement or hit a limitation, they’ve always taken the time to understand what we were trying to achieve and help us find a solution or a practical workaround. We’ve had questions around things like customer-specific pack sizes, order restrictions, pre-orders and account behaviour, and the support has always been responsive and helpful. Overall, SparkLayer has been a very solid solution for our B2B store, especially because of the flexibility of the platform and the quality of their team.

Onboarding and integration with our Shopify store was a breeze. We came across a minor tax-related issues, but the SparkLayer team responded promptly and had everything resolved quickly. I’ve reached out for support a few times now and each time the response has been fast, clear and helpful. They’ve taken the time to explain what the issue was and how it was resolved, which has made the whole process very straightforward. Exceptional service so far and a great B2B integration for our Shopify store. Thanks especially to Clifford and Ben for the support.

After initially having a wrestle to get SparkLayer set up, as a code illiterate person, I have to say the features and functionality are way ahead of any app we've used for b2b before. Support documentation and their team are friendly and helpful (Especially Ben). I'd recommend this app to anyone.

I've been a paying SparkLayer customer and rely on this app to onboard and process wholesale accounts. Yesterday, their system stopped allowing me to complete a new customer account setup, which is blocking a sizable order from a real customer ready to buy. SparkLayer acknowledged the issue, said they deployed a fix, and told me everything tested fine. It does not work. I have been attempting to reach their support team for over 4 hours and have received zero response. This is unacceptable for a paid B2B tool where downtime directly costs revenue. I will update this review if the situation is resolved promptly, but I cannot recommend this app to any merchant who depends on it for wholesale operations. UPDATE: Upgrading to 3 stars. After the initial review was posted, SparkLayer customer service and tech support finally jumped on the situation. They apologized, acknowledged and took responsibility for the issues, and finally resolved the problem by Saturday afternoon. The customer who had tried to complete their application last week wasn't able to get back to me for another two days, but they have since returned, and their account is now approved. I am still frustrated for the hours wasted and for the 5-day delay before we are able to bring in revenue from this new customer, but I am glad things are finally resolved. To the SparkLayer team, it should never take having to air dirty laundry in public to get the kind of support necessary to solve a tech issue. I'm sorry it became necessary to do so.

Building a B2B site is always a challenge and usually quite unique for each business. With SparkLayer the core functionality is solid, reliable and simply works (which is surprisingly uncommon). The customer support and response times are consistently good too, the team is knowledgeable and always willing to work with us to overcome challenges. SparkLayer have done a good job with delivering a trade experience on Shopify and we're excited to work with them to help improve over time.

The Sparklayer app allowed me to completely avoid moving to Shopify Plus! Saved me thousands of dollars. I needed to add wholesale and b2b pricing to my site but, traditionally, using Shopify Plus was the only way to do it. I'm so happy I found this app. Also, I wanted to do some customizations and the support team at SparkLayer got on a live video call with me AND ended up doing a number of custom coding requests for me, free of charge. They are fantastic! I've been using Shopify for over a decade and this is one of the better apps I've used. Highly recommend!

Sparklayer is working well for us. It looks good and is definitely giving an improved experience for our customers. There are still a few more features we'd like Sparklayer to develop but the team have been open to taking on these suggestions. Importantly, the Sparklayer team have been great - very responsive and helpful in dealing with any questions or problems to solve.

Excellent App for B2B. Support is top notch and the functionality is great as well. We have a clothing B2B store which gets complex due to the number and nature of variants and it handles it perfectly. The team is very helpful and answers questions promptly and they also sort out technical issues for you like installing the app, making changes to the settings etc.

Awesome product and does what they say. I am having clients now onboard directly and this maximizes my per order income because I dont have to go through a 3rd Party B2B platform that was typically taking around 15% of my sales. Totally worth it and the Onboarding and continued support has really impressed me. All from a real person which has been great. She even checks up on me and my business from time to time which is reassuring.

Honestly, can’t recommend SparkLayer enough. We’ve used a few different wholesale apps over the years, and most of them were either a headache to set up or just felt really clunky for our customers and full of errors or constant mistakes. The onboarding experience here was excellent. The team was incredibly helpful and actually took the time to make sure we were good to go, it was so easy to get up and running compared to what we were used to. The features are also just way more polished than anything else we’ve tried. It feels like a premium experience rather than a "bolt-on" solution like most other apps. If you’re tired of fighting with other B2B plugins, honestly, just make the switch. It’s saved us so much time and our wholesale clients love it.

Sparklayer is the best B2B app I've tried! I downloaded and went through the process of setting up and testing out several B2B wholesale apps, and Sparklayer had the best range of features for the price, hands down. I've taken wholesale orders using their platform now and it was seamless. I was initially worried about the subscription price, but depending on your wholesale volume, it's actually a huge savings over using something like Faire that can take a percentage of your order income. I also like that it lets me maintain control of everything on my own site. Cameron and the support team are amazingly helpful as well! They helped me with a setup call, integrating everything into my site, and even some extra help with coding to make sure everything was perfect. They definitely went above and beyond and are always quick to help!

After my initial 1-star review regarding theme update issues, the CEO (Chris Mattingly) personally reached out to resolve the situation. They have successfully adjusted their installation process for my store. They performed the setup on a staging theme without 'detaching' it from the Shopify Theme Store. I can confirm that my theme retains its official update path and I am currently 'Up to Date'. They also provided a full technical summary of the modified files. It’s rare to see this level of accountability. If you use themes that update frequently, I now recommend SparkLayer, as they have proven they can integrate while respecting Shopify’s native lifecycle.

SparkLayer has been a great fit for our store. The support team is fast, considerate, professional, and brings a bit of humour along the way too, which is always appreciated when you’re sorting tech. It's a strong wholesale platform backed by a support team that genuinely cares, plus the Sales Agent feature has been brilliant for our business because some of our customers still like to chat with us directly. It’s also been vital for making sure wholesale pricing, GST, and customer-specific details are correct.

Though we had a bit tricky constellation (retailer section with special discounts and shipping fees and also section for clubs to order free brochures) this app was the perfect solution for us. Especially with help from a very dedicated customer support (thanks again, Cameron!) we are now able to run our b2c shopify-shop finally also for b2b customers. Very glad it works!

Personally, I think its the best B2B app out there. It looks like the site was natively made for wholesale, not just some ovelay slapped. And more important, the support is right there for you. Their documentation is highly detailed where most of the customization one can do themselves. To those who read a negative review about the tier set up. Yes, its a little more complicated, but thats because how the cart and pricing functions on the backend. For the little pain, in return, you will get a cart that is much quicker and smoother. I know this 1st hand, as I constantly struggled with it on a couple of other b2b apps.

Been loving Sparklayer so far! Their support is fantastic, from the very beginning stages of researching which app works best for my store, to complete set up. This app makes a huge upgrade for my b2b customers shopping experience than my last website/setup.

How can something like tiered pricing be complicated to set up? I definitely do not advise this app. They also did not respond to our questions, only AI-generated replies. I’m tired of AI chatbots. And while our store was not live, we were charged 5 months total of 250$. It was saying free plan till we get our store live. unbelievable.

Support team are great, quick to respond and action. The app itself is exactly what we need for our B2B store.

We haven't launched it officially yet, but in the course of set up they have been very responsive, fast and adjusted a few things for me and fixed one of my mistakes. So far, impressed.

The onboarding process was very simple and I am a complete novice when it comes to anything web dev. Simple integration. I think the stock count features are very helpful and being able to set rules around minimum order value for cetain tiers is an excellent feature.

This is by far the best wholesale app. I heavily researched the top 5 wholesale apps, and demoed a few, and ended up on this one. So glad I did. It has all of the features you could need, the others were quite limited. But we're very happy with SparkLayer. Now for the support, which is absolutely amazing. Within 24 hours of downloading the app they are reaching out to you to ask if they can help you get it set up and to please schedule an onboarding call. And they will set it up on any theme, and very fast--less than a day. They also respond to any issues you have almost immediately. I've never come across an app where the app creators are so proactive to try to help you and reach out to you to schedule onboarding. If the support for every app were like this, it would be amazing. They helped with many issues, and would even follow up to ask if there was anything else we needed. Just absolute top notch support. Shout out to Daniel, our main point of contact and onboarder. And they NEVER asked me to leave a review. Not once. Almost every other app helps you fix some tiny issue and then hounds you for days about leaving a review and mentioning their name, which is SO tacky. That's why these mediocre apps have so many 5 star reviews. Daniel, or anyone else, 100% did not do that. My reviews is long because I was that impressed by their support. They should be a model to how every other app should structure their support. Fast, effective, proactive, and not helping you just so you'll leave a 5 star review and falsely pump up their rating. It's discrediting the entire Shopify review system and makes it hard to find a good app. These guys are the real deal.
