honestly i check trueprofit more than my emails now lol. i run a few different dtc brands and used to have my cogs spread across a bunch of spreadsheets, which was a nightmare when i was trying to work out what i was actually making on bundles vs single units the cogs setup is what made me stay tbh. i can just put in the real supplier cost for a bundle instead of dividing it out per unit myself, which saves heaps of time, especially when i’m testing bundle prices and the per unit cost keeps changing a bit with volume discounts two other things have changed how i run my stores. ad spend from facebook and google pulls in automatically next to the orders, so no more exporting ad reports and checking them against shopify payouts. i can tell the same day if a campaign is actually making money instead of guessing off roas. and the daily profit summary that hits my phone every morning sounds like a small thing but it means i catch a bad day straight away instead of finding out at the end of the month overall really happy with it, would recommend to anyone running a dropshipping or ecom store who wants to know what they’re actually making

I use trueprofit daily to see my accurate net profit, its a lot easier than using a manual spreadsheet. i really like the updated cogs feature, its super easy to setup accurate costs even with different worldwide shipping prices. haven't really had any issues with trueprofit and i recommend it to other store owners.

The shipping cost tracking is very helpful for getting a more accurate view of my actual profit. Bad Experience. Installed twice, the first time they charged me after the trial period eventhought I unninstalled the app the first day of this period. And when I reinstalled the app my variants were all outdated and there was no way to refresh the sync without contacting support. If you need something to make your life easier, this is not it. Also, it doesn't track VAT collection which is useless for EU businesses.

Hello VocaSpark store admin, Quick summary:Your full refund has been processed. Variant sync may take time after reinstall, and Shopify VAT is excluded from Net Profit. Regarding billing: Shopify manages all app subscription charges. Once a new billing cycle has started, uninstalling an app does not automatically cancel the charge for that billing period. As app subscription billing is managed by Shopify, we're unable to modify these charges. That said, as soon as you contacted us on June 26, 2026, we immediately approved a full refund as a gesture of goodwill. As we weren't able to finalize the refund at that time, we later followed up and have now successfully processed it. Regarding variant synchronization: We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. After reinstalling the app, there may be a short delay while the app completes the initial synchronization of your store data. Should any syncing issues occur, our support team is always available to assist as quickly as possible. Regarding VAT: Based on our email conversation, if you're referring to the VAT collected through Shopify, this information is automatically synced from your Shopify orders and excluded from the Net Profit calculation, as it isn't considered business revenue. If you're referring to a different VAT scenario, we'd be happy to investigate further. We also reached out by email to better understand your VAT concern but weren't able to gather additional details. ***Update6.19.2026*** The devs have gone ahead and fixed the PayPal issue described below and are working through some of the other issues... I appreciate that they take their negative reviews seriously. At the same time, from a customer standpoint, I shouldn't have to be the Guinea pig for their system errors. It was only after I left a 1 star review that they started addressing all of the concerns and patching. Please do a better job of taking your users technical issues more seriously before they get upset and leave you a bad review. Ultimately, I only did that because I had wasted dozens of hours manually trying to reconcile everything. I am extremely disappointed, especially recently. There are several bugs on this app. For example, in the Orders Report, the transaction fees from any PayPal transactions is artificially inflated. They are applying a third-party transaction fee to every PP order, even if you have Shopify Payments enabled. From Shopify directly: "If Shopify Payments is enabled on your store then no third-party transaction fee applies". I pointed this out to their support and they admitted that its a known issue and said it may be fixed by June. They don't tell their users about these bugs, and you just have to figure it out for yourself when your numbers are all off. There is an even larger bug on the profit and loss report side. Any time you have a substitution order where a customer orders (SKU: A), and then post-purchase, but before fulfillment, they request a substitution for (SKU: B), the system records that as part of 'Returns and Refunds' expense, even though the dollar amount was never captured in the first place (since our payment settings are configured to capture payment after fulfillment). I have news for you True Profit, a lot of professional Shopify sellers configure their settings this way for this very reason. Many customers need to substitute products post-purchase for tons of reasons. These are just a couple of issues, there are more too. I thought the whole point of this app was to make it easy to track your financials. Now I am stuck downloading the data into spreadsheets and reconciling everything myself costing me hours of time. ***Update: The support team tells me to adjust my PayPal settings to be 1.49% + $0.49 transaction fee to compensate for their app artificially adding a 2% fee that does not exist. I did that and it did not change any previous orders, just forward looking I assume. They have you do these workarounds and they still don't work right. Also, there are times when you update COGS on the orders report and it does not translate to any changes on that month's profit and loss. The data is either lagging or not updating. And that is even after doing a manual refresh on the P&L. This app has way too many bugs. I think you will be better off with Zapier and Google sheets.

This app is a must need to see how much you're actually making in profit and saves you a lot of time to always have to calculate it yourself. Durra over there on the support team is doing great at making sure we aren't running around like a chicken to make sure our profits are right
