Downpay is great! It has allowed my customers ordering made to order items and pay just 50% deposit until their items are manufactured. When I set this up originally the team were really great in writing code to get it working as I needed it to. My business produces made to order designer radiators which are mid to high end in price - so Downpay gives my customers a choice whether to pay up front or not. Even if they don't the choice was still there.
After using this app for a considerable amount of time, I wanted to update my original review and provide a more balanced perspective. Overall, this app has become a valuable part of my store. It allows me to create product groups and cross-sell related models and accessories exactly how I want. The grouping options are flexible, the display is clean, and I particularly like that it can show product images/icons for linked items, making it easy for customers to navigate between related products. My original frustration came from an issue that caught me out during store development. The app stores certain product information (particularly images) at the time a product is linked, rather than automatically refreshing when changes are later made in Shopify. For example, if you change a product's main image after creating your links, the app will continue displaying the image that existed when the link was originally created. This is something users need to be aware of when managing their catalogue. In my case, I initially viewed this as a major flaw because I expected all linked content to update automatically. However, after working with the app for longer, I've learned how it behaves and simply factor this into my workflow when making product changes. As long as you're aware of this limitation, it's manageable. To be fair, the support team did investigate the issues I raised and the developers took the time to respond. While I still believe clearer documentation around this behaviour would help new users avoid confusion, I also recognise that the app itself delivers what I need it to do on a day-to-day basis. No app is perfect, but this one has helped me build and manage a large number of linked product groups successfully. For anyone considering it, my advice would simply be to understand how linked product images are handled and keep that in mind whenever you update products in Shopify. A solid app overall, with a few quirks that are worth knowing about.
I am so angry and annoyed at this back app. I had to restore all my collections and when I did I noticed all the manual sort orders were not there any longer for over 1500 products - reason - just as other poor reviews of this app state they said "due to Shopify’s API limitations not sharing this information". This app KNOWS of the the things which Shopify is not sharing with it as when there is an issue - you are clearly told this when you have an issue restoring. But only then! There needs to be a much better upfront list of what is not backed up as this app is putting you in a complete false sense of security with its fancy weekly emails which lead you to believe everything is being backed up. Well.. the reality is you'll only learn of what is not being backed up when you try and restore. I regret using the app now as the very first time I have needed to use ti - the money invested in having it has not paid off. So I feel it's a waste of time. I could have manually backed up the elements this site is not backing up - if I has been told about them. Very poor on the part of this site. In this situation both Shopify and Rewind Backups were equally useless. Please be aware to quiz this app on what is not being backed up and don't be fooled by all the glossy sales copy from them.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. Being trustworthy is one of our core values, and we never want our customers to feel misguided on what's supported and unsupported by our backups and/or restores. Although we do back up and restore Smart Collections, we cannot current see, back up, or reliably restore the manual sort order even though Smart Collections themselves will be successfully restored. If you'd like to discuss this further, please contact our support team at help@rewind.com.
This is a great app for adding really advanced filters to category pages. Bear in mind the app will take over your category page completely and this will show its own version - but once you get your head around it - it works well. It's fairly intuitive to setup - and the support team are really good at coming back to you. Allows you to really think about how you want your filters to look
Installed app and this did not work (Yuva theme). The field simply resumed blank on the product page after setting items to display. Contacted support for help. Didn’t know what the issue was (even after gaining access to my store) and escalated to developers who after 24 hours still had no response. Asked the support some basic questions about what I wanted the app to achieve and he did not know the answers. This surprised me - how can they not know what the app does? 24 hours later I re-contacted support and they said they has no reference of my call. App is now being uninstalled after 1 day as this is ridiculous.
