I came here to read recent reviews because we are still struggling with syncing between our in-store square system and our Shopify website and I keep HOPING Shopify POS systems have improved. By the reviews I read, obviously not. We've tried Shopify POS TWICE and both times it was unreliable. No peripherals - barcode scanner, credit card machine - would remain connected to the iPad so we would have to jump through hoops, WITH CUSTOMERS WAITING IN LINE to reconnect them. Customer support sent us 3 pages of instructions which were insane & STILL didn't fix the problem. HOW CAN SHOPIFY INVENT THE BEST RETAIL SOFTWARE SYSTEM/WEBSITE BUT CAN'T DO POS WORTH A DAMN? So incredibly frustrating.

My Wishlist helps our customers keep track of items they like on our website & send their wishlist to loved ones to let them know what they want for their birthday, Mother's Day or just because! I had a little trouble with a "404 page not found" error from the shared wishlist link but My Wishlist support fixed the problem quickly. The Save For Later function works in the customer's cart as well. I haven't gone deep yet on all the other available features of My Wishlist yet but the basic functionality works nicely.
I love this app. It's a miracle that when I create an item in shopify it is automatically created in square. Saves us a huge amount of time. Another miracle: changing the price of items in shopify (i.e. marking up or down) automatically changes the price in square. Another great feature is the list of unsynced items: After the first sync there were a number of items that didn't sync and when I looked at them I saw all the errors I'd made over time and I had NO IDEA that they were even there. BEST thing: instant chat with very knowledgeable and friendly tech support.
During the pandemic we had to take our brick and mortar store online with Shopify, but keeping stock numbers online and in the physical store in sync became a nightmare. People would buy an item online and at the same time a customer would buy that item in our physical store and we had to disappoint several online shoppers when we told them their chosen item was out of stock. So we set up syncing between Shopify and Square and it works LIKE MAGIC.
