We are stuck with this app since way back. There are a few big problems with it. 1. For products, translation is malfunctioning. New product will get wrong info when translated (if duplicated from another product). To get around this, we have to make a new translation for all product and replace the old translations. Langshop know this problem, but they wont fix it, they dont care even though we have reported about it many times for 3 years now. 2. Some translations, for example single words that becomes two words in other languages when translated. This words Langshop cant handle together with Shopify. Langshop will add "space" in the translated domains which will make them not function, will give "error 404" page instead of correct page. 3. The free AI translate really is crap. It will make very bad translations, probably to force you to pay for other translations. So BIG WARNING for this app. We are stucked with it and will take so much time and effort to change right now. Hello, Docklandet team. Thank you for the valuable feedback, and we are sorry to hear your experience with the app has been negative. Please note that due to the fact LangShop stores translations in the Shopify API, the translations are duplicated as well, as a part of the product. There is no workaround for this, to our regret, and only newly created products won't have their translations stored in the back end. To make your workflow more manageable you could set up automatic translations of new products with Shopify Flow, even if they were duplicated. For example, to start a translation if the product is changed from "Drafted" to "Active". There are restrictions applied to the translation engines which prevent Shopify links from being translated on the storefront. If you are referring to URL handles, the redirection between locales and domains is handled by Shopify, so there should not be any 404 errors. We would be very glad if you provided examples of these broken links so that we can fix the errors if they are caused by LangShop and prevent them from happening in the future. The free LangShop translation engine may indeed provide translations that are not up to everyone's standards, but this is why there are integrated advanced engines, such as OpenAI, Google Cloud and DeepL Pro. We'd like to remind LangShop does not benefit in any way or form from the use of these engines, since they use the API and the account of the user, not our own. We would be very thankful if you gave LangShop another chance, and to our team — a chance to improve your user experience! Best regards, LangShop team
Used it for a while. Happy overall with the functions and its easy to use. Very helpful support also. I would love this app even more if the posts was translated automaticly in Shopify. Also it would be great if Instafeed would make every post to a blog post, that way it would be indexed in Google and the post could give the store more traffic (better SEO). Another thing I miss is the ability to link (have buttons) for collection and pages, not only for products. You know sometimes you want to promote a sale, in stock products, a collection/brand, etc. Hope you can look into this team! :D Edit: Some way it says "About 1 year using this app" but we have used this app for over 4 years and are happy.

Hello Docklandet, thank you so much for leaving us this 5 star review and for recommending us! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed Instafeed and the experience with our Support Team. Best wishes!
At the moment, I cant recommend this app to anyone. We have been using this app for some years and the problem since start is that the app cant translate currencies at all. They will change the currency symbol (for the language visiting) but the digits will be the same. This means 1000 SEK will look like 1000 EURO with this app. This will scare customers and it makes us lose orders all the time. Second problem is that this app is not compatible with any of the most common language translate apps. I have talked with the app developer about a solution for this problems for about 2 years. This year they say they hope to fix this by the end of the year. Now I have contacted them 3 times, asking for status, asking for payed extra service, and asking (last time) for a desperate alternative solution for our store. They dont respond to anything. We are really sad that we have invested so much time in this app as it seams the developers dont really care about it. On top of all, the set-ups and data in this app cant be migrated to any other options app. This is really bad.

Hi, thanks for trying the app and sorry to see this review. The duplicated translations are coming from duplicated products. This isn't something Translate & Adapt controls. What's happening is this: when you duplicate a product, just as in the default language all the info is copied to the new one, it's the same with translations. This is so, for example, if you'd done some painstaking manual translations on a red sofa, you wouldn't have to start from scratch for a blue sofa. This does mean, however, if you go to auto-translate then the system will see the duplicated translations as manual content and not override them, which may be why you saw the issues that you did. We are working on this flow right now, and making that distinction clearer - and making copying translations optional. In the short term, just delete the content in the fields you want to translate (right hand side of Translate & Adapt editor), save, and then click auto-translate.
Professional and very helpful service. I have looked for many apps like this and seams like I found the right one at last. 5/5
