We've been using this app to set up a custom made clothing item. The whole process has taken weeks a lot of cash invested in 3D models. That makes the whole limitation I'm about the describe even more frustrating. When products are created as variations they are SKU-less. That means if your using an IMS or shipping app to process orders after checkout (one that requires a SKU like many do) you're not going to have much luck. Lesser custom apps often give you options. Either replicate the source SKU for each variant or even add numbers sequentially. We use a few of them successfully already. These small but essential function really show when an app that has considered the backend needs of merchants. Kickflip has a heavy focus on front end UI and that's great since it's key for the product, but the backend is not really suitable for any business of scale.  The response from support for this issue was "this is eye opening and we appreciate it. However, unfortunately, it is not possible to do this." Well...thanks. We're currently unsure if, even after our investment we can make this app worth for us logistically. I suspect we'll try it and manually link products to orders in the short term but it's very disappointing when a simple code change to variant generation would have solved this. 5 stars for ambition. 2 for implementation on Shopify. ------ Response to Kickflip's response: We want to be clear this is NOT feedback on variants linked to inventory level. All our SKUs are made to order anyway. This is simply the manner with which new variants created in Shopify by the app have no SKU given to them when they hit the checkout. This is a simple API/App fix (other apps can generate this kind of variants) and not a complex feature we're discussing here. This is the second time your team haven't quite understood the issue we've raised so perhaps we're not being clear enough. However, it seems based on your response that nothing is in the pipeline.

First off, we want to thank you for your honest and thorough feedback. It’s voices like yours that push us to strive for excellence in everything we do. Regarding our inventory management feature, it’s important to note that it is currently in beta and might not cover all your requirements at the moment. The current limitation comes from the way we manage inventory due to constraints with Shopify’s variant limit and the fact that stocks cannot be shared between different variants. This has led us to handle all inventory management within Kickflip’s admin. We understand that this isn’t ideal for your use case. We encourage you to share any additional insights you have to help us improve this feature here : https://kickflip.canny.io/feature-requests/p/i-would-like-the-skus-entered-in-kickflip-to-be-linked-to-shopifys-inventory We appreciate your patience and understanding as we aim to meet your needs better. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

This is an under developed app. We had issues during install. Support did assist. Once working but there are no settings or admin. Once the app is installed it's GO GO GO on the front end. Not great for a production environment. After uninstall (to turn off), we can't re-install because the API key the app generates is locked. API keys can't be toggled or even deleted manually. I'm sure support could assist as they have been responsive but this has all the hallmarks of an under resourced app and we're sadly not going to trust our logistics with this implementation in it's current form. A lot of work has gone into the Gophr platform but the simplicity of this integration suggests they're not aiming this at professional ecommerce brands.

Signed up for a trial of AfterShip Returns. Their website and help docs indicate Royal Mail returns ARE possible but only after support chat is it made clear this is for Enterprise only. I have no idea why this isn't stated anywhere. Just a sentence would suffice. An afternoon wasted. Thanks folks!

Calculates allows for very nice complex shipping options based on table rates, rules and order variables. We've used other app by Amasty before on Magento and were overall impressed with the level of configuration available. My main issues with this app is the rather poor Shopify integration. I can see the same platform is used for Magento. For Shopify, only ONE admin user (the installer) can access the rates and configure the app. App support recommended I give my admin password to other staff. Big no no and not what I'd expect from a professional charging app. Shopify user ID tokens are not used by this app when they really should be. I've never come across this before. Secondly, product attributes to create product segments are pretty useless. You get to segment products based on...Vendor. That's it. You can forget about product tags or even Product Type which is pretty fundamental in most Shopify apps. I'm sure Magento users are swimming in attributes to select. Thankfully SKUs are available but they're not ideal if you have a large catalogue of dynamic products to segment. I feel overall this is a very versatile Magento-targeted app with high aspirations for Shopify. It just seems to needs more love and consideration for Shopify merchants. We're going to use the app and I'll review my rating - maybe even update our tier - if features progress for Shopify, but I suspect these rather fundamental app quirks aren't a priority. Time will tell.

Many thanks for such a detailed, precious and honest feedback! :) We are happy to announce that Calcurates now supports Shopify metafields, tags, vendors and collections. It means that the most powerful Calcurates features are now available for Shopify store owners: Shipping Rules, Volumetric Weight, Smart Packaging and Custom Calculation. We've also improved authorization: now it uses store's email which allows all store's users to managing app. Hope you'll benefit much from these updates! Thanks again for your inspiring feedback!

We were looking for a UK-based app that had some good return shipping integration. The customer experience is easy and the refund or gift card method is really helpful for my team. Collect+ labels on tap is really quite good as well. I'm looking forward to seeing how Clicksit develops further. With a few more back-office features and tweaks this app could be a real killer in a year. Hopefully, it will grow with us.

Can't understand why two different launches can't overlap. Users can't launch a product at the same time as have a promotion on another collection via Launchpad is really really really dumb. Very unimpressed with Plus extra apps so far in our experience.
