Absolutely terrible customer service. I would avoid this and seek better alternatives as someone who uses customizers often. I Hope I can save at least 1 person from this terrible company.

highly recommend kickflip if your business focuses heavily on customized products. The AI assistant can answer 90% of the question when i need help setting the customizer up, and the live agents are almost always there as well. My only complaint for kickflip is the cost of using it.

We've had a great experience with Kickflip and their support team. After our customizer suddenly stopped working due to Shopify's App Embed integration changes, Cindy quickly investigated the issue, explained exactly what had happened, and their team implemented the required fix for our store. Everything is working perfectly again. The app offers a lot of flexibility for product customization, and the customer support has been outstanding. A special thank you to Cindy for the excellent communication and quick resolution. Highly recommended!

Responsive customer service. App does everything I need.

It's a bit of a learning curve, but the customer support makes it much easier. In the end we get to do something that our competitors don't. I strongly dislike that they changed my plan in the old store from a Pay as You Grow to paying a monthly fee. I strongly considered ditching it at that time and I'm still trying to figure out if they still care about smaller businesses trying to grow as the 60 bucks a month is steep for the little guys - especially when the percentage of sales didn't go down significantly. Other than that - 5 stars. We'll see if it's profitable or not.

If you sell customised products, give Kickflip some serious consideration. The interface is simple and clear to use, and mobile compatible. When you create your products in the app, customers can personalise products according to the options you stipulate. It is A VERY flexible product customisation tool. I tried out many other apps before I found Kickflip and this app is head and shoulders above the rest. It did take me some time to learn how to build my products but there are lots of help videos and I got great online support from Elisabeth and Cindy too. The assistance I have received from the team is always timely and responsive. Overall, this is a great product.

Great app!

This has nearly as high a learning curve as mid-level photoshop. They'd do well do let everyone use the software for free (developing their products) and stick to a flat 2% on every product sold. Sadly, the monthly fee combined with the learning curve kills your product before you ever get it off the ground. The transaction fee is reasonable - it's the monthly fee that kills, especially when you are just getting started.

Ich arbeite nun seit einem Jahr damit und bin bis dato sehr zufrieden - auch dass immer weiter am System im HIntergrund gearbeitet wird!

The change in plans is not justified especially for store owners who are from countries whose currency is not as strong as dollar. Because in that scenario, you are earning in a weaker currency and paying for this app in dollars. Ideally they should have moved to tiered pricing with minimum fixed charge + per order revenue percentage. So unless your store is earning upwards of 10k dollars in a month (after currency conversion) this app is not for you. I used this app for over a year and functionality wise it is fine but the change in pricing was not justified. I have found a better option with almost 1/6 of their price and moving to it.

Customer support cares about giving all users a positive experience and is quick to respond to any needs. Don't hesitate to reach out.

Whenever we had a question or ran into an issue, the Kickflip team took the time to help us properly. They explain everything clearly, think along with you, and stay involved until everything works perfectly. It’s rare to find a team that is this patient, dedicated, and willing to go the extra mile. It takes a while to understand how to use all the small features in Kickflip, especially if you have something super specific in mind. However, the customer service is incredible, and they are always willing to help.

If your store sells less than $10k USD per month in customized products, then sadly this app ISN'T for you. The Kickflip Customizer is a great add-on for my online store, and the company has improved its features over time. However, its implementation can be inflexible, and there's still room for improvement in its overall functionality. The support staff has always been helpful and has worked with me to resolve code issues. While their assistance is excellent, communication can sometimes be difficult due to different time zones. ​I had previously given the app a 5-star rating, but I've recently lowered it. This change came after I received an email from Kickflip stating that the "pay as you grow" plan was being canceled and replaced with a much higher monthly subscription plus a per-transaction fee. ​Unfortunately, this new pricing model is no longer affordable for small businesses like mine that are trying to grow their store. It's a shame to see only one pricing tier and no option for a smaller monthly fee with a higher per-transaction charge - a model that would be much better for those on the Shopify Basic plan. I also don't think the app is developed enough to justify the single tier option.

We looked for a solution to handle hundreds of design options for our Polished and Framed Horseshoes- and Kickflip nailed it! It takes time to learn all the ins and outs but once they're clear- you're all set. They also have a very friendly and responsive customer support (shout out to Cindy!).

Our company is not able to link up multiple variants with our Shopify Plus store in order to sell multiple designs and sizes within the same listing. Response from Kickflip customer service has been very slow. Our product launch is on hold costing us potential revenue daily. We have no choice but to search for another solution to better fit our customization needs.

I’m genuinely so disappointed, because I really want Kickflip to work for my business—but I’ve run into constant issues that haven’t been resolved. I’ve spent months trying to build out custom product options for bulk custom magnets and stickers, and I continue to receive blank orders through the app—almost daily. These orders come through with no selections made and no charge to the customer. Building the logic for my use case was extremely time-consuming, and there wasn’t a perfect solution for what I needed—but I still managed to work around the limitations and get it functioning. From the customer-facing side, everything looks and works beautifully. But despite all the effort I’ve put in, I’m now at the point where I feel like I have no choice but to remove the app from my shop, which makes me really sad. I’ve gone through every possible configuration with a fine-tooth comb. All options have pricing, all logic is correctly set up, and everything appears to function as expected from the customer’s perspective. Still, the issue persists. Initially, support told me it might be related to Google Ads configurations. I removed the listings from Google Ads entirely, but the problem continues. I’ve been told multiple times that the issue was resolved—but unfortunately, it hasn’t been. At one point, all of my logic was correct, but pricing wasn’t displaying for certain options. Support was able to fix that—but even after, I’ve only been able to capture one legitimate sale with actual data attached. The most concerning part is that customers seem to be able to place blank, $0 orders repeatedly, with no selections—and somehow, it still collects full customer information. I’ve tried reaching out to these customers, but I never get a response. I don’t know if these are accidental, the result of a glitch, or something else entirely—but it feels like a serious flaw in the system. I want to keep using Kickflip because it has real potential, especially for products with lots of customization. But given the amount of time I’ve sunk into building everything, it’s heartbreaking to have to walk away from it due to persistent, unresolved issues.

I've been using Kickflip for some time and you won't find a better customizer on Shopify. Take your time and make it what you want. It is worth it. You have a problem Cindy will come through and make sure you are headed in the right direction. This is the app that lets you play in the same arena as the big boys.

I joined kickflip at the right time. I was told I would need an engineer to connect my domain to the plugin. They came back a few days later and manged to seamlessly integrate the customizer to my shopify theme. No other app allows the level of customization with such simplicity. The ability to layer pieces and attach colors makes the options endless as long as you get creative with the logistics of your designs. The only thing better than the product itself is the support. They always go out of their way to help me and work endlessly to improve the app. I look forward to what is to come in the future. If you get stuck while using this app dont hesitate to reach out. They will help you. Now that Shopify Dawn 2.0 links directly to the customizer from the description, all the way to checkout, there is no reason why anybody shouldnt be able to use this app. Dawn 2.0 is the deafult on shopify so its nearly impossible to mess this up. I come from the field of construction and was morbidly afraid of computers grwoing up and I can do this. Anyone else brave enough to step into entrepeneuership can handle using this app. Great job guys!!!

Great service, always able to help me with my issues.

We updated our cart in their app, as they said to do in their help and then our cart stopped working and people couldn't check out. We have had to revert back to an old version of our site and then lost lots of work we have done.

Starting with the good: a beautiful and really simple to use interface, both on the builder end and consumer end, well done on that. But we're now facing several issues which are making it now impossible to continue using this app. 1) Inventory management: not linked to Shopify, making it a nightmare to update and know when we're out of stock. Especially with 2 warehouse Locations. 2) The app does not apply your store's Market pricing. So if you're having certain market's with a price % adjustment set up in your Market settings on Shopify, Kickflip will ignore that, resulting in incorrect prices displayed before adding to cart. 3) The tipping point for us and worst part: Customers can place an order on out of stock SKUs if they add to cart days or even weeks before you are out of stock. This resulted in many losses, refunds and annoyed customers. 4) Lastly, pricing. It's good if you're starting up, but not fair / too high if you want to scale up for the limited feature they offer. Overall, really disappointed as we thought we found a great app. Still a lot of work to do.

I haven't had a chance to sell anything as of writing this review, however compared to the other customisers this is the easiest to use (yes there's always a learning curve), and the customer support is pretty damn good. All of my questions have been answered and 99% have been solved without coding on my part. There are some things that could be refined such as the mobile functionality/ease of use especially with customer editable photos but i believe this is something that's being worked on.

Perfect app and good assistance, I recommand

The front-end design is impressive compared to other apps, and it was the main reason I decided to try it out. However, in my opinion, the app is not yet ready for established businesses to rely on, as the back end needs further development. I wish the team all the best moving forward, but I hope to save others in my position some valuable time if they are under the impression that this app will be quick and easy to use. There is a 3-4 week wait for open support tickets. While the live customer service is great, if you encounter an issue beyond what they can assist with, be prepared to wait an unreasonable amount of time. I am choosing to move on to another app rather than waiting. Please ensure that your theme works directly with the app before investing time in setting everything up, as I did. You may encounter issues down the road. I had the impression this was an out-of-the-box solution, but that was not the case for my very popular and common theme. If your theme is not compatible, they will refer you to a partner for paid development work. The instructions for uninstalling the app are somewhat complicated, and not really suited for those without a strong grasp of Shopify, in my opinion. I hope to get around to it soon. If you’re like me and working around the clock, be aware that this cleanup process can be time-consuming if you choose not to continue using the app. Additionally, when you uninstall the app, any products you added through it will also be deleted.

Great customer service. Amazing product once you understand how to use it.

We've been using this app to set up a custom made clothing item. The whole process has taken weeks a lot of cash invested in 3D models. That makes the whole limitation I'm about the describe even more frustrating. When products are created as variations they are SKU-less. That means if your using an IMS or shipping app to process orders after checkout (one that requires a SKU like many do) you're not going to have much luck. Lesser custom apps often give you options. Either replicate the source SKU for each variant or even add numbers sequentially. We use a few of them successfully already. These small but essential function really show when an app that has considered the backend needs of merchants. Kickflip has a heavy focus on front end UI and that's great since it's key for the product, but the backend is not really suitable for any business of scale.  The response from support for this issue was "this is eye opening and we appreciate it. However, unfortunately, it is not possible to do this." Well...thanks. We're currently unsure if, even after our investment we can make this app worth for us logistically. I suspect we'll try it and manually link products to orders in the short term but it's very disappointing when a simple code change to variant generation would have solved this. 5 stars for ambition. 2 for implementation on Shopify. ------ Response to Kickflip's response: We want to be clear this is NOT feedback on variants linked to inventory level. All our SKUs are made to order anyway. This is simply the manner with which new variants created in Shopify by the app have no SKU given to them when they hit the checkout. This is a simple API/App fix (other apps can generate this kind of variants) and not a complex feature we're discussing here. This is the second time your team haven't quite understood the issue we've raised so perhaps we're not being clear enough. However, it seems based on your response that nothing is in the pipeline.

Kickflip was the exact customization tool we were looking for. It’s very straightforward from start to finish. If I got stuck at any point, the chat feature was convenient to use and received quick and detailed responses from a real person to continue building our product. As a small business, the payment structure is also ideal as it eliminates the risk by only charging when we make a sale, as opposed to committing to a big monthly or annual fee. High recommend kickflip!

Great company, great app. You can feel the modern development. That’s both good and bad. You can feel that it’s very modern in terms of usage: very simple, effective, clean etc. The simpleness is so important for customers to order in a quick time, because customizing is a little bit of effort the customer has to put in On the other hand you can feel it’s new, causing some things to not work a hundred percent properly. The support has been great, they don’t respond very quick, but the responses are always helpful, informative and respectful. This company has a lot of potential for the future. I really hope they evolve properly and keep investing in their development. One downside is that you pay a percentage per sale. This will make it less attractive for bigger company and also for your company if you grow along the way. Keep going

The support team is never online in the Pacific time zone. Whenever you ask something the bot says we'll contact you tomorrow. Canada'a tomorrow is New Zealand's night so I will never be able to get live support. 1- If you can't support it globally then just sell it in Canada. 2- You can turn off your online support when it's night in Canada.

At first it looks really daunting and confusing but once you give it a go it becomes very straightforward! I cant imagine that there's a better app available for personalisation than this one. Has completely transformed the user experience.

We have been using the app for sometime now and have tried couple of apps for customisation. This is by far one of the best apps we came across and value the team that's behind. We faced couple of challenges to integrate the app properly with our theme and even if we are not that techy enough. The team had taken extra steps to provide us with solutions and response time is fantastic.

I looked into three different Customize Products and ended up selecting this one. It’s super easy to use and has a bunch of awesome demo products available on the backend. The customer support is very well. Cindy, in particular, was incredibly professional and quickly solved the problem I was facing.

Not every store needs a customizer with complex tools to personalize products. Some store require a clean, minimal, modern, and easy-to-use customizer. If that is what you're looking for, do not waste your time researching, I have spent a lot of time on this and Kickflip is the only affordable option with beautiful UI and very easy setup! Make sure to follow their instruction videos.

Very pleased so far with KickFlip. We are launching the customisation app in a couple weeks and cannot wait to see how it is received. Watch a few of the videos as once you get the hang of it, it's very very user friendly and so much more advanced than other customisation apps we've seen. Cindy and Jackie have also been so helpful and quick to respond to my questions.

Finally an app that has all the custom options I need. If you also enable manual text sizing for our customer and adding a possibility to add a link in the text then you really created the most perfect app ever!!

i was excited to install this app onto my store to give my customers more options and see real time edits to their designs on existing products, which i soon found was not available and had to introduce a new product onto the store for the same or i needed to hire someone to do this. customer service response is extremely slow and so far i have been waiting 20+ hours for a reply on their chat when i can see they were active. The edit allows for your to see a desktop/mobile view however this is not how it is shown once live.

I want to love this app but it's missing so much functionality that I can't use it. Since it replaces the product page, there's no place for a description, I can't customize the template to include important info or complementary products. There is nowhere to display reviews on the product page, etc. If this could be embedded in the product page or a pop up that opens when the customer clicks a "customize this" button it would be pretty brilliant.
