Original review in 2021: This app has significantly improved our website's load times. It might not show up when using tools that provide a 'score', but it is absolutely obvious when using our website as a visitor naturally would. I even notice the difference on a gigabit internet connection, so I can't imagine how much of an improvement it is for those on slower connections. The developers have been extremely helpful in a few small issues that came up - most of which were just our misunderstanding of specific features. update June 2026: Genuinely amazing. They always go above and beyond with migrating to new versions of our themes.

This is an incredible solution for building logical breadcrumbs. The level of control is absolutely impressive. Between the app developer answering a question and watching one video, I was able to get this app fully integrated and functional.

This app deserves a 7 out of 5. Truly one of the very best apps I've encountered. It almost perfectly solves the Shopify 100-variant limit in the right way, without resorting to virtual products. Now, we can properly load our inventory, GTIN's, and more. Shipra has been extremely helpful and communicative. I can't say enough about how fantastic SpiceGems is. This app is a genuine bargain considering the capabilities it provides. The one thing I would like to see in the future is to integrate into the Shopify interface rather than opening in a new window, but this is really just being nitpicky.

Before committing to a subscription, I signed up for their 7-day free trial to test this on one website. Unfortunately, there is no way to use that free trial for a Shopify website as the app attempts to bill $7 USD per month immediately. It's too bad that the Shopify pricing is higher, and that there isn't a trial. It is $84 per year per domain via Shopify, versus $167 per year for 10 domains on Link Whisper's website ($16.70 per year per domain). I'm sorry, but there's been a misunderstanding about how payments work. A charge for $7 is authorized when the app is installed, but it is not charged unless the app remains installed for longer than 7 days. If the app is uninstalled during the trial period, the authorized charge will be canceled. The charge is authorized using Shopify's payment systems, using the standard Shopify free trial method, and remains entirely in their hands so you can be sure that the trial will be honored.

This app serves our purposes perfectly. I've given the app 5 stars as Prakash was extremely helpful in removing the AVADA branding and enabling more theme choices. However, it is disappointing that removing the branding and enabling themes (all of which are free), is not simply provided by default. The fact that it required 15 minutes of my time, and their time, is mind-numbingly frustrating and unnecessary.

There are aspects of this review app that are very good. The control over the look and feel of the review and Q&A widgets is excellent. However, there are several areas where the developer could improve. We're having significant issues with spam reviews or Q&A entries (ie: a question with 1 character, submitted over and over again). The developer has ignored our request for help with spam filtering. It had gotten so bad at one point that we were forced to disable the Q&A function. We'd also like to see the ability for reviews or Q&A to be shared automatically across more than one product. There are situations, especially with the Q&A function, where the questions are applicable across a wide range of nearly identical products. Our previous review app on our old shopping cart did allow this feature.

The developer of this app has been so helpful in getting this app up and running in our store. They have been very attentive to my questions and requests and are truly a pleasure to work with.

This is easily the single-most, must-have app if you have a larger product catalog. The functionality is tremendous. The support is next-level. We've needed help with several customizations and the team at Boost has graciously helped us to get everything working as needed.
