SE: Option Price Calculator

Have been looking for an app to use on our site. This has been the easiest option so far and they customer service / support team are great. Any issues we have experienced they were quick in responding or solving it for us.

After doing a lot of research, I can confidently say this is the best app I’ve found for complex pricing calculations. It’s extremely flexible and works perfectly for products with many different pricing variables. The support team is also amazing — super helpful, responsive, and patient. They helped me set everything up, explained how it all works, and assisted me whenever I ran into an issue.

This is the most powerful quoting system app I’ve ever used. It can handle almost every type of customization and pricing logic for custom products. If you have even a little bit of coding knowledge, you can customize it into anything you want — it’s truly amazing. There is a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, as you’ll need some time to understand how the settings work. But once you figure it out, you’ll be impressed by how powerful this app really is. I genuinely admire the technical capability of this team for creating such an outstanding tool. I noticed other reviews mentioning poor customer support, but my experience has been very different. This is the most powerful calculator app for Shopify. I've been able to perform complex calculations and create awesome option manipulations with the Option Calculator. And honestly, I’ve only scratched the surface. The best part is that I can build these complex operations with zero programming experience. I’ll admit I can’t really tap into the custom CSS and JavaScript features, but all I have to do is work with Strategic Edge to handle those parts. Five years ago, I wanted to build this same functionality into a Shopify store for my shutter site. Back then, I was getting quotes around $50K. Now I’ve got that same capability in an app for a tiny monthly cost. If you need a calculator for your Shopify store, look no further—stop wasting your time and money.

Takes a little tinkering at first, but once you get the hang of it, this app is incredibly powerful for complex, lookup based pricing. Great for custom products with lots of variables. Support has been super fast and helpful anytime I ran into issues.

This is pretty much the only app we could find, that was able to solve our complex use-cases entirely. We solely sell made-to-measure products and this app did the trick for us from A-Z. Starting off this app was a little rocky - and frustrating but not because of the calculator. As a sticker shop we needed something that was robust and had all the options necessary to facilitate the options that we offer from our business. This calculator is extremely advanced and allows for all the options that you could dream of, but it does take some working through to make sure they all work together. Thankfully their customer support and service has been great at helping us navigate through some of the problems that we have encountered - even when it wasn't something to do with their product. Definitely grateful for their help and product.

When we launched our Shopify store in 2019, there were no apps capable of handling the complex calculations our small woodworking business required, so everything had to be custom-built from scratch. During a redesign in 2024, I discovered Option Price Calculator. I was impressed by its wide range of capabilities and options, but what convinced me were the glowing reviews of their customer support, and my experience has definitely met that high bar. Matthew, in particular, has been fantastic, responding even on weekends and offering valuable suggestions on how to adapt the app for our specific needs. Since we're using it in a slightly unconventional way, I did encounter challenges in setting up the calculators, particularly with transposing our information to accommodate how the app handles data. There are limitations on how conditional calculations can be used and I've found myself missing the ability to create and assign values to variables. Fortunately, Matthew's expertise has helped us navigate most of the hurdles with workarounds. One particular requirement was not possible within the app, so Matthew and his team built the custom features we needed for a reasonable fee, and faster than any other app developers I've worked with. If you need a dynamic calculator don't waste your time looking anywhere else. Honestly, I had initially avoided this app as the subscription price is higher than most but after wasting a week trying every other app only to find out they don't offer the required features to do dynamic pricing I bit the bullet and gave this one a chance. It wasn't the easiest to DIY setup, they do have paid templates which would have made my life easy, however I wanted to know how to do it myself so I could add more products in the future. The documentation could be a bit clearer but the live chat was a life saver. By now you would expect this review to be 3 or 4 stars but let me tell you, the support was unparalleled. After hours, yes hours of support, and not just regular support... LIVE SUPPORT, I fully expected the live support to cut me off but they worked through my problems with me. I cannot stress how valuable that alone is worth.

Amazing!! I have been looking for a substitution for a sticker calculator for our custom sticker website for honestly, about 1 year and 4 months... Long behold, this was it!! Hands down what is the best thing is the customer service. I had an legitimately breaking issue on our website from my error on the calculator code. Not only did they fix it for me, they showed me what went wrong and how to prevent it in any future use. If you are trying to make a custom based website or be a print on demand company to other then, this is the best app you can have on your site.

Having seen this app working on another store and seeing what they were able to do with it, I am super excited to get this app up and running on our print site. Shopify is not built to handle a printing company's complex products and variations, but this app completely takes that problem away.

This is the best calculator app there is. No other calculator has as many options as this one and the support is fantastic!

There is no other app that can do what OPC can. It is a little challenging to get everything figured out, but the developers can answer any questions and get you where you need to be. If you are looking for an app that caters to your unique, custom store - you found it.

Het is de beste app in zijn soort. Support heeft voor ons alles in orde kunnen brengen. De goedkopere apps zorgde alleen voor meer problemen binnen onze shopify webshop. Dat is overigens de enigste minpunt wil je ook kortingen toepassen heb je al snel een abonnement van 60 dollar nodig bij ons het geval.

One of the best apps with a wide range of product options and combinations. I chose this app for my sticker shop specifically for it's price formula calculations and discounted quantities capabilities which other apps do not offer. The price formulas is a huge time saver for pricing once you get the hang of it!

Really great app. Had a minor issue and I gave the app developers access to the site as a collaborator. We emailed back and forth a few times and they had me fixed within 40 minutes...on a SUNDAY! Setup is a little complicated because you need to figure out what elements to hide on the page so all the parts of this app show and all the parts of the Shopify price options do not. But after a couple of hours, I had it installed and working. There are lots of little unusual options to turn off or on that most people wont' need but I needed a couple of them. If they weren't available, the app wouldn't have worked for me. The developers did a really good job of anticipating how different shops would use this. This app also works with pop-up and slide-out-drawer shopping cart pages. I tried another popular app and it did not. This is a big deal. If your customers are being redirected to the shopping cart page every time they add something to the shopping cart, you are losing sales. Keeping them on the shopping pages sells more stuff. I have been in online retail for 15 years and currently have 4 shops on different platforms. This is one of the best thought out and implemented apps I've used. Worth every penny.
