Real ID has become an essential part of our business. It gives us a professional and secure way to handle age verification, helps protect both our customers and our business, and integrates well with our Shopify workflow. It also adds a layer of authenticity and trust for our clientele by showing that we take security and responsible verification seriously. The automation and customization options have made the process much easier for our team to manage.
Absolutely LOVE this app!! All of the features are great and easy to use for customers. I love the extra security for my higher ticket items and the support team is always amazing.
We've been really impressed with both the app and the level of service Dylan provides. I have recommended it to other stores that require ID verification as well.
This is a great tool to help prevent fraud but a lot of times I would be paying $100 per month even if I barely needed the app and they charge about a $1-$2 per verification. Great app just above my budget. Update: The owner Dylan reached out to me and offered a plan for $20/mo which is way more convenient. The fact that he even reached out and offered something to still allow me to keep the app means a lot and shows how much he cares about the consumer. Thank you Dylan !

Dylan has always provided great customer service. The RealID app has been a wonderful addition to our Shopify POS.
Strongly recommend if you need ID verification services. It integrated well with our Shopify template. And due to a few unique requirements of our site, we needed some extra assistance and a few small adjustments, which the Real ID team were super fast and helpful to provide. Finally, it does what it promises, which is validate IDs as smoothly as one could hope.
We are super impressed with Dylan and the Real ID team and functionality. From the start they have been responsive and supportive to help get the software implemented and running smoothly, from introduction/demo and installation support. Recently we requested that they build a Military ID verification feature so that we could verify service peoples for a lifetime discount. A few weeks later the Real ID team had successfully created this feature and yesterday a long standing customer of ours utilized it and now gets the lifetime discount. Again we cant say enough how great the support has been....this is not the case with many apps as we all know.
Customer service is 10/10 and it integrates very nicely with Shopify. Perfect for what we need and again, customer service is top notch.
Initially i was stunned by the pricing, however after sending feedback to the developer, they immediately replied and were very helpful. They went out their way to enable settings and allow be to be on the normal plan with other settings turned on. They replied to emails within a matter of a hour tops, very quick. And app is working perfectly. Will be using them long term

This app was exactly what we were looking for to help combat fraud orders. Customer service has also been tremendously helpful and provided guidance on not only setting up this app but also recommendations on other related processes and flows to make this a seamless experience for our customers and teams. We use REAL ID for 3 of our website properties. For two sites, we use the App to control the sale of regulated goods. For the third, we use it to reduce credit card fraud (e.g. for first-time customers whose billing & shipping does not match). For the regulated goods, the app is incredibly effective and has saved us a tremendous amount of time in employee-customer communication, record storage and so on. It has also eliminated a lot pushback from customers! We used to have trouble asking for ID's by email, but now we rarely if ever have customers question the legitimacy of the process. The App has lots of options and Support or Developer feedback is always fast and helpful. In short, I definitely recommend REAL ID to cut time and costs by dramatically reducing credit card fraud or to easily perform legal requirements having to do with regulated goods. As I say, we are now 3 websites strong with it. Thanks REAL ID team!
Such an amazing app to help with Fraud. I use this when I have a High/Medium Risk of fraud to verify my customers. I 100% recommend it, and the customer service from Dylan has been so great from the start. I wish there was a better option for smaller businesses like mine, like a pay as you go option per check or something similar. Maybe in the future! :)

Real ID has really streamlined our old manual process of verifying customer ID's on potential fraud alerts on orders for our Multiple Shopify E-Commerce Stores. It has greatly reduced staffing demands and handle times for our E-Commerce team and has greatly improved our customers satisfaction with the ID verification process. The installation and integration was seamless and simple and launching was a walk in the park with the partnership and support of Dylan Pierce and the rest of the Real ID team. The app does exactly what it claims and our customers are able to easily verify themselves. And there is Excellent fast and effective support
I did 5 test on myself, all non working properly, then ask a customer to do 1, for my shame did not work too. Then finally work partially but not with the head turning. They told me I would not be charged BUT got charged €15.75 + $17.08 to be charged on next month for an app that NEVER WORKED 100% and only 1 time work 90% but did not catch the face turning. The app is not done, need a lot more of testing. Hi, I'm sorry you had so many issues, including with Shopify's billing system. I definitely understand the frustration when it comes to refunds, there are certain limitations that I cannot control either. For context, Shopify does not allow Partners to cancel charges before they are finalized in an invoice and charged to your card. Again, we cannot issue refunds during same time period period the charge is counted in, or even cancel the charges. I know that sounds unfair, and we agree it is, but it outside of our control. On April 14th, you signed up for a paid plan: https://share.cleanshot.com/s4PqQfT3 Three days later on Monday April 17th we received your email that you'd like a refund for paid checks you used for testing. We cannot cancel or refund charges in the same billing period - and we issued a credit for all ID checks. Issuing an app credit is the only option we have at this time for ID checks in the same period. Now that the bill has been finalized (May 4th), we can offer a refund for these test checks. You should see a refund shortly. I'll follow up in a few days to make sure you have received your money. Some customers do have issues understanding the prompts, we aim to make this experience as seamless as possible and user friendly as possible. This is why we offer a test mode when you first install the app, it gives you the opportunity to trial out these features before committing to a paid plan.
Well received by our customers and easy for staff to verify if customers have completed ID check before shipping. Their support team was very helpful in creating code to work with our varied delivery methods. The online age verification was installed quickly and customizations were completed within a day or two. The app does everything it says it does and works very well. Helped reduce our fraud to zero. Dylan has been the greatest help with any questions or issues we may be having. This app has been greatly beneficial to our store, saving hundreds of pounds in chargebacks and guaranteeing security with flagged orders. Highly recommended and customer service were very helpful!
It does what it claims. But some of my customers suspected emails sent by the app are phishing. Please add the settings to send email from our domain by adding SPF records or allow us to integrate our own email sending solutions such as Sendgrid/Mailgun. Update 2021 Oct 5: I am glad the dev has added the option of sending emails by shop domain. This is a clear improvement. So I have revised the star rating to 4. I am looking forward to more versatile pricing plans such as bulk discount when we buy more credits. Hi, Thank you for the feedback! We're always adding new ways to build trust between you and your customers. Just an update, you can now use your own email address for ID check notifications to your customers. In the Settings section of Real ID, under the Notifications tab you'll find this new feature. You just need to verify your ownership of the email address with a link your inbox, then we can start sending ID checks on behalf of your email address. Your customers will see the ID check is directly related to their order and will help build trust with the process. I hope this helps with your concern! This is a very useful app with an owner that will take your calls and figure stuff out with you! I used it to check ID on checkout for certain products and it worked very well. I cannot wait to see what is to come.
This app has been a life savor when it comes to having a solid and working ability to check customer IDs. Not only does the app work flawlessly, the support from the app is exceptional - nearly always available to help and the updates and custom requests are constantly fulfilled. I can't thank the team enough for this amazing app!.
We use this app to help prevent fraudulent transactions by verifying the information provided with the information the customer provides checking out. There were some issues in the beginning, but like all new apps, features were added to help fix the issues. There are some bugs, but as the app grows, it will be ironed out. The developer is very communicative and responds quickly and does everything they can to solve it. He listens to suggestions and makes them a reality. This is a must have, as the other verification apps only take E-Mail, or don't have automation available to make the process easier. This is a necessity if you need to verify customers info or help to prevent fraudulent transactions.
