UPDATE FOLLOWS (7/13/26) I decided to try Loloyalty because their pricing seemed reasonable for a store just starting its loyalty program. The Starter level is sufficient and does almost everything I need; I've been frustrated before by apps that have a free or low-priced option only to find that the money-saving tier is crippled to the point of not being usable, but that's not the case here. The app and its widget are highly customizable and I got them to reflect my site's style. The widget can be opened with a button or by using a URL. I have complete control over how many points are issued for each activity, whether it's transactional or social, again without any limits because I'm only on the Starter plan. Customer service has been available and friendly, and the developers seem very interested in customer input. The weak points are the notifications and the referrals portion of the program. I understand they're working toward letting us customize the emails, which is good because it's needed. I've opted to turn their emails off altogether. It needs better integration with Shopify's email module and Flow so we can plan our own communications rather than depend on theirs. I do like that the referral program lets me decide exactly what each party receives: I give the referring member points while the prospective customer gets a percentage off coupon, but you could just as easily change either to free shipping or a free gift. That said, the communications are terrible. If the member wants to send an email to a friend, it is so badly formatted as to be almost indecipherable. The landing page has zero branding and is so poorly translated that I am truly concerned that prospective customers will think it's a phishing attempt. Neither the referral link nor the discount code generated for the customer is exportable, so I can't create my own email campaign, and because the discount code is only available on the landing page, I can't opt to circumvent that. They mentioned that the referral link can be sent to Klaviyo, but what about those of us who don't use Klaviyo (and, for that matter, why only Klaviyo), plus that still requires us to use the terrible landing page. So, all of that is why I deducted a star. Even though I have complaints and think there are serious issues that need to be resolved, I am mostly happy with and am still using the app. EDIT 7/13/26_______________________ We have been using TrustWILL Loyalty & Referrals (originally Loloyalty) for over a year-and-a-half now. I gave it four stars in the beginning, but due to the many, many improvements I’ve seen and the responsiveness of the team in incorporating user suggestions in those updates, I wanted to give them the fifth star. This does not mean that TrustWILL is perfect, but it has come so far from what it was. I complained back then about notifications, and they have made it so we can completely customize all of our program-specific communications. The landing page I disliked — let’s be honest: hated — is gone, replaced by a much better system. And the points can now be synced with a customer’s Shopify record (via metafields). We also use Judge.me for reviews, and the two apps work pretty much seamlessly together. Because of the then-lack of customer information pages, we created our own, but now that is also included in the app. As I said, there is still room for improvement, but I know of very few things in life that can’t be made better. The important part is that these folks ARE making improvements on a regular basis and genuinely seem to appreciate suggestions and feedback.

This app was very impressive. We don’t generally sell clothing, but are in the process of adding some branded tees, so I’d been playing with apps like this. When I got the notification this morning, I figured I’d give it a try. The app is easy to use and offers a lot of options when it comes to models, backgrounds, and poses. The images created are better than most of the other apps I tried (particularly when it comes relatively small writing). I do wish it was possible to get the models to smile. (There is a candid laugh pose, but I just wanted a standard pose without looking so dour.) The entire time I was playing with the app today, I kept asking myself, how are they offering this for free. Then it happened. I hit an undisclosed limit of some sort with a "Contact us if you need more"-type of message. I don’t know if the limit is for pictures created, used, or what. If you want to have some fun, do a hair flip pose.
I’m not going to give them a 1-star as some did because that seems petty. The app seems to work, although I’ve been trusting their analytics to tell me that. My concern is that they have "usage charges," but I have no idea what they’re for. I searched both the FAQ and documentation for "usage," but got nothing. I sent an email asking, but never got a response. I see a number of other reviews that mention this too and, for the record, I’ve checked my junk mail folders. Because of this and the general need to cut back on paid apps, I’m uninstalling
We had tried displaying our Google Reviews before using other apps and on our own with code. This app was so much easier to install and setup, and it has a lot of options for how to display your reviews. Please note, as mentioned by another reviewer here, there is a "watermark" (as they call it) and they ask you to write a review to get it removed. I was uncomfortable with this because I will only review a product when I’ve had a chance to use it. I want my reviews to be honest. I told them that and that I would write a review based on my experience with their app, and they removed the watermark. One request, though I don’t know if this is unique to us or if others would use it, too: I’d like to be able to put the widget on pages. For example, we have a page with the details about our brick-and-mortar store, so I’d like the reviews to appear there. Thank you, Appio, for offering a well-made app for free! EDIT: I wanted to add one more note, because I read reviews before making my decision about an app: There is a negative review here that says you can’t filter reviews. I don’t know if that was written before the feature existed or if the OP simply didn’t see the option, but you CAN filter featured reviews based on star rating and/or by creating a list of blocked words. EDIT2: I made a request in my review, and a week later I see that the developer has made the change requested. Amazing!

This app is so full of features and is updated on a regular basis. It has a high level of customization and I have found the developers to be responsive to customer requests and suggestions. The free plan is more than enough to get a new loyalty program started, but there are a ton of features we’re looking forward to adding when budget allows.
Lauren helped me get the app installed via Google Meetings and was very patient in walking me through the process. Still new to the app, but I like what I see so far.

Thank you for your feedback! 🌟 We're glad Lauren was able to assist you with patience and expertise during the setup process via Google Meetings. 💻🙌 It's great to hear you're liking the app so far—feel free to reach out if you need any further assistance. 😊✨
It really is a good app, but I knocked off a star for two reasons: First, the dearth of documentation. The FAQ link goes to a table of contents, but all of the links (to faq.ymq.cool) appear to be dead, and have been since I installed the app. Second, there is no visual indication of when a variant is sold out. Yes, you still see Shopify's "Sold Out," but the swatch looks like all the others. There are settings that let you load an image (via URL) and change the border for disabled variants, but they don't function. While this may sound like a minor issue, I know I find it frustrating to have to click a button before I can see if something is in stock—I want to know at a glance—and I'm concerned that my customers will feel the same way. This message is both a review, and, since none of this is documented, a warning to those who may be trying to get the function to work that it's not you: It's a problem with the app. That said, I know from reading other reviews and responses that this is a two-man operation and that they're creating and supporting numerous apps. This Product Options app adds a GREAT DEAL of functionality that Shopify does not natively, and it's clear that they have tweaked and added additional features based on customer input. I don't like to slam the creators who allow us to do things that Shopify does not—particularly for free!—and that is not my intention here, but I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what I was doing wrong when, in fact, I wasn't. Hopefully this will save someone else that time.
I installed Restock Rocket upon learning the product I had been using to that point was being sunsetted. I haven't been using it long, but I can say the installation was straightforward and Kartik, who refers to himself as the one man army, was incredibly helpful at resolving an issue that had more to do with my theme than his app. The app is flexible and robust enough that I was able to make Restock Rocket's buttons and forms fit my theme seamlessly, as if it was built-in functionality. If you're a new small business looking for a truly free app that can handle limited traffic, check this out. To be clear, the 50 notifications offered on the Start Plan is 25 email and 25 SMS, not a total of 50 between the two, so, in my case, where I'm not using SMS, I have 25 free notifications. The lowest paid level is only $10 per month, not the huge jump that some app makers expect you to make to get the paid features and, if traffic justifies the need, doable for a small store like mine.
I'm about to write a critical review of an app which I truly like and for which I have received exceptional service. It is not an understatement to say that I would not be able to operate without this free app from OneSaas syncing the data between Shopify and QuickBooks for me, and when I have asked for help they have always been able to assist me. Here's why I have deducted a star: As polite and helpful as they are, I don't want to talk to them anymore. I've started submitting tickets for items that could easily be resolved with a quick chat because at the end of an online chat, they ask something along the lines of, "Can you do me a favor?" That is followed by a very specific request for you to write a review AND to use their name (i.e. the name of the tech that assisted you) when you do so. I think they probably get some kind of bonus when their name is mentioned, based on the fact that every one of them asks the same way, but I am not going to review an app every time I get assistance from them. One review should suffice, unless your opinion changes, but I can't mention one tech and not every other who has provided me with the same level of service. Plus I'm usually trying to resolve whatever the problem is while I'm still assisting customers, and I don't need to prolong the interaction. OneSaas, you should know you have a great team and they have always been polite and professional, but please stop telling them to beg us for a review!

Hi there, thank you for the feedback and we will take this on board. As a totally free app, we are very proud of the level of customer service we provide to our users and as such after every interaction our team will check with you to ensure that you are satisfied. It is by no means necessary for you to leave a public review after every interaction, especially if you have already left us a review prior. Thank you again for your kind words, and if any further questions please don't hesitate to reach out via support@onesaas.com.
I like that this app is scalable. While I could see someone wanting to sort many collections using various data, I wanted only the ability to randomize a single collection that I use to show "random" products on our front page, a simple function that should really be built in to Shopify. This app can accomplish that and has a tier that lets me do it on a scheduled basis for free. As my store grows, I can see other uses for this app. I especially like that it has the ability to pin items to the top of a collection or push sold out items to the bottom.
Use any label and format price tags as I want them! I hate paying for apps, but gladly pay for this.
