The product itself works as advertised. We like the fact variants load without the original-page flash you get with some client-side testing apps. Two reasons I uninstalled. First, pricing. If you run a high-traffic store, the session-based cost gets very expensive very quickly. In our case several times what comparable tools charge. Check the maths carefully against your own traffic profile before committing. Second, and the bigger issue for me: shortly after I signed up, a private support email I sent them appeared as a screenshot in a Shoplift LinkedIn post, used as marketing content celebrating my switch from a competitor. My surname was redacted, but my first name, the date, and the full text of my email were not. Nobody asked my permission. The redaction achieved nothing: the competitor mentioned in the post identified me from it and contacted me directly. Shoplift's team joked about the switch in the comments. If you email this company's support, be aware your message may become their content. Capable tool, but the combination of the pricing and how they posted my email correspondence on social media means I won't be back.
This app was super easy to set up, and tweaking the feed settings was just as simple. The interface is clean and clear, so you’re not left guessing what to do next. What really made a difference for me was the support - Taylor has been genuinely helpful and patient every step of the way! If you want something that works without the headache, this app does the job really well.
We just needed this app for a very, very simple function - to pass one line of data per order. In the space of a month the app automatically upgraded us from $12 Basic plan to $99 per month for the simplest of tasks that turns out, we were being charged per order at our store and the app considered each order 'a task'. It's totally overpriced. Perhaps if you're going to be using multiple functions it's worth the $$$. But, if you're a high-volume store that just needs a tiny portion of the app's functionality, then it's crazy expensive due to its per order pricing model.
Even with minimal post purchase upsells setup, this app will potentially charge you hundreds of $ as it's pricing is based on TOTAL orders, not orders where the app is actually deployed. For us, the return on the investment was not worth it. We spent hundreds in charges for this app in one month alone, which given that all it really does is apply a very simple post purchase script, seems ridiculous.
Tried several attempts to get this app to bulk reduce by a percentage. It would say 'completed' but the changes had only been applied to some products. We waited, cleared cookies etc etc etc. Doesn't work and actually has created a real mess of our prices.

Hi, Thank you for providing feedback. Unfortunately, on the 21st of November, Shopify had a partial outage in its API, which caused problems with fetching products from your store. There's nothing we can do about it. As for the prices, the app always restores the original price that was listed before the sale started, you just need to click the “Revert prices” button. According to our internal logs, you didn't do it. You were just one click and one minute away from reverting prices. Next time don't hesitate to write to us in the support, we will be happy to help you.
Cannot specify trigger by variant. When you want to make it one-click for a customer to add the matching variant (eg material = silver for silver item), this becomes impossible with this app.

Thanks for the review and the feature suggestion! I've just talked with my development team and will make sure it's updated in the next days. I will inform you via email once it's there. Sorry for any inconvenience! Erikas | Co-founder of Kaching Appz
The functionality of the Mini Cart is worth $14.99 per month - the price that appears next to the app in Shopify's app settings. However, I found out today that UpCart have been taking $75 per month from us, due to 'usage fees'. Machiavellian pricing tactics are at play here. There is no way this app is worth $75 per month ($875 per year!). Best advice is to hire a developer from an online marketplace at $10 per hour and get them to build you a Mini Cart with all the function you require.

Hi there, we’re really sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating this situation must have been. We’d like to clarify that our pricing includes usage-based billing for high-performing stores, but we never want this to come as a surprise. Our team has already reached out directly to review your billing and make sure everything is clear and accurate. We truly appreciate your feedback! It helps us improve transparency and communication around pricing. 💬✨
A good builder with super helpful support. You need the paid plan to remove watermark at footer and to build more than one page, but it has very good functionality. Easy to upload custom fonts - some page builders make this super-hard!
So, it quickly becomes apparent that the impressive stats that Recart claim on all their promotions about how they increase sales, are a little tenuous. They count anyone that signs up for a discount code then purchases as a conversion enabled by them - as if the customer wouldn't have purchased otherwise. But in reality all they are doing is pestering customers with tacky discount codes - customers that would have purchased in any case. Real value comes in attracting back abandoned checkouts, and unfortunately it appears that Recart are much less successful at achieving this than they would have you believe. Since installing Recart I have actually seen a reduction in sales, which I attribute to the popup 'conversation starter' which just feels dropship-spammy, and subsequent Messenger hassling. I don't think I'll be using Recart again. The biggest con is all those conversions in their marketing copy they claim to have 'unlocked' for users of Recart, which are really just sales that would have occurred in any case. Very cheeky.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We are sorry that our services did not meet your expectations. Our Abandoned Cart recovering works best with a stable subscriber base, due to Facebook messaging policies. If you would give us another chance, we would recommend to try other Conversation Starters, and gain more subscribers as a first step. Please let us know, if we can help with anything. Thanks. Best, Recart team
