This app and the CPB team are incredible! We had very specific requirements we wanted to develop and looked far and wide before coming across the CPB - Custom Product Builder. We tried a few others that said they could do what we needed but fell short and were complicated to set up. I can't say enough great things about this app's flexibility, configurability, and output. The attention to detail and the incredible customer service you also receive is exceptional. If there is something you desire that isn't out of the box (which most things are), they are eager to help, and their prices are incredibly reasonable for custom needs. It took us a while to build out our development store due to the massive amount of variants, and the team was right there to help us get over the finish line. The CPB team consistently improves the app and adds value to the UI and UX. We still have much more to do, and I love how easy it is to use and make changes on the fly. I'm confident we will continue exceeding our customer's expectations by having this app as part of the customer experience.
I think this is the best customizer app out there! There's a bit of a learning curve, but it's super powerful and has a lot of great features, and the customer service has been excellent as well! We make custom products with lots of different fabric and feature options - some of our products have over 50 million possible variants! CPB handles them with ease. We had some issues with compatibility with Managed Markets and the buildateam developers were able to get that fixed promptly! (tldr: make sure to use "hybrid-generated price variants" if using Managed Markets). If using Auto-generated variants, I highly recommend combining this with the Arigato Automation app, to set up a workflow to hide the auto-generated products from search and product recommendations, and also delete them after a specified amount of time so they don't clutter up your products as much.
We are still building out this app for our website. Just wanted to leave a 5 star review for their support. They get back to us pretty quickly and fix any issues we have. Very cool app, enabled us to create a highly configurable product for our store. This app has a ton of functionality, our favorite being the ability to generate simulated colors for our product so that we can provide mockups to customers for their exact specification. Furthermore, the CPB development team is always helpful and responsive to assist with any further custom enhancements we may need. Highly recommend!

Working on adding this into all listings in my store. Their team was very quick to answer my questions and make edits in my store code when I had no clue how to edit it myself. It took some time for me to get comfortable with how to get everything set up, but now that I understand the basics it is going to look beautiful in my store.

A big shout out for this great app! The features are awesome, simple to use and it has everything we need to visualize even complex products in our Shopify store (we sell felt products like felt key chain or felt book cover which customers can personilze completly). There are not much product customizer apps for shopify availiable that offers this level of freedom in creating customizable products. Customer and technical support is very responsive and the price per month plans are fair.
Their customer service is amazing! They have fixed a problem that I created - took a video of the solution for me to keep in the future. Excellent product - unparalleled service. WORTH IT!
1000% recommend! This product configurator is the core of our ecom store and one of the most significant touchpoints for our customers. What we use it for: To allow clients to create their own leather handbag, that consists of many different choices like leather structure, leather color, color of hardware, decorations, carrying option like strap or chain, personalization options like embossing with monogram, and much more. We also use it to include upsells into the ordering process without those products being noticed as an upsell, but rather as a really relevant and matching addition, enhancing the main product. Functionalities: We use a lot of different functionalities of this app like different option styles (multiple choice, radio button, dropdown, checkboxes, text fields, etc.), conditional formatting to display certain options when a previous option is clicked, and my favorite: displaying the mock-up of the finished product with the layer functionality, so customers see how the final product will look like. Also, we have all options SKU-managed, which makes it a bit slower, but in terms of stock management, analytics from Shopify, etc. this is a very beneficial. Usability: Layers are easy to manage, different options and conditional formatting too, just the variety of options and settings make it in total quite a project to work with (also because our product is really complex). I've tested more than 10 apps before deciding for this one, and it was by far the best. Customer Support Vlad and developper Egor are great, always helpful and realize all requests with great output. We had a lot of requests because we had CSS customazation done to match the configurator to our Dawn theme and our specific needs and came up with new requests every week, and they always supported great for a reasonable fee. 100% recommend - keep up the good work team buildatheme!
Great app, very easy to use and if any extra help is needed then the support team is amazing. Might seem overwhelming at first but once you get into it, so easy to set it all up and populate the data. The fee is also fixed per month so very straightforward and makes budgeting easy. We have launched a lighting pendant customisation app and Vladislav has helped me to make quite drastic changes very fast and efficiently (as we had specific rules and vision) so we have managed to launch it earlier than we had planned.
We really love this app. It has provided us with new businesses by enabling custom product options to become available. Their support team is excellent, providing on-the-go support whenever we need help. With inventory management for custom options, auto-generated variants, product information, SKU management, custom fonts, etc., it is undoubtedly the best custom product builder out there. I highly recommend them for your needs
Extremely robust app. The team behind it is super helpful and skilled too. We needed a pretty complex system and got everything done to the last detail. Special thanks to Egor who was very patient throughout the project and ended up doing much more than asked for.
Let me first start by saying, my configuration requirements are VERY complex and not easily solved by any other Product Configurator and I'm sure I'm pushing the limits of this app. I can't say enough about the support team and their willingness to help make this happen. They have the knowledge to suggest more efficient ways to set things up which results in a more manageable long-term solution. Will be very excited to launch my store in the near future!
Hands down the best product customization tool out there for Shopify. It's extremely robust, they've thought of everything in terms of logic and customization. I've paid them to do some custom dev work for me as well, they're super responsive and helpful. Can't recommend them enough!
great app. so far the most complete app for custom customizations. At first it might be overwelming to customize it, but they have a great support that helped me to customize it. Using it I was able to create customizations and business rules which werent possible using standard shopify ou other apps

The team at Buildateam have been so patient and helpful with any issues I've had. The app works exactly as I'd wanted! I went through a lot of apps trying to find one that worked just like this one—glad I didn't give up.
I had an idea in mind and was searching for an app that would do it. I reached out to them and they said no problem. After jumping on a video they helped me go step by step through it and answered all my questions. I use their app daily and whenever I have questions they answer it quickly and are so helpful, definitely recommend!
This app deserves five stars because it has helped me display and offer my product in a very clean and organized way on my website. Vlad has helped and guided me to learn the app and make it function the way I want. It's not rocket science, but there is a learning curve which takes time to learn all the options and settings. The only issue I have is the How-to videos need to be re-done. The person explaining the steps in the video speaks way to fast and needs to slow down in showing what settings and option do in the app. Definitely recommend the app if you have a custom product to sell.

Very simple to use app. I have zero coding knowledge, but this app is very intuitive. Where more technical aspects were required, the CPB team went above and beyond in tending to my every need. Fantastic App for anyone who offers custom products that are made to order, The guys who created this have thought of everything and are always happy to help with advice and guidance along the way. Vlad in the support team is an absolute legend! We loved this app - it has a lot of capabilities. While it may seem daunting at first, once you learn how to use it, it is much easier to navigate. Shopify doesn't make custom variables easy. I went through dozens of apps trying to find a way for customers to just simply specify their desired membership number. The team at Custom Product Builder was responsive and effective and got this done when others could not.

After years of looking for an app that would let me do what I wanted, I finally found this app. It is EXACTLY what I was looking for. It's extremely powerful and every function you could possibly want is built in. On top of this, the develops are so helpful and amazing to work with.

VLAD AND EGOR ARE UNREAL! They replicated our old problematic product customizer to our exact liking all while being extremely responsive and fair price wise. Since changing builders we have seen SALES SPIKE! These guys are the best option that we have found after searching far and wide among all product builders/customizers. They are masters of Shopify and code to customize the cart experience and product customizer for our customers! The app is very simple to use and is extremely user friendly and offers great customization and updating that you can do yourself! We are exited to be working with Vlad and Egor for the long haul! THEY WORK FAST AND HAVE AWESOME COMMUNICATION skills with their users! No more sending multiple messages off to get a response, these guys are on top of it and always get back to you! First and foremost, I would like to address some of the reviews that disparage this app for being complicated and difficult to learn. The developers have posted DOZENS of step-by-step articles (buildateam.zendesk.com) that address almost anything that could arise while learning how to navigate the interface. There is always going to be a learning curve that ONLY trial and error will teach. But, for what this app is capable of, it is well worth the investment in time. At least for us, the cost of the app and the amount of time spent learning it has resulted in far less time on things that either don't work, or don't accomplish our goals. After two years of refining graphics for our Shopify Store (still under construction), We were convinced that our only choice for product page presentation was going to be to render the tens of thousands of possibilities for customizing our products ourselves, and split them into several categories and collections. Luckily for us, we spent most of that time on layered graphics illustrations, that can now be used to allow the customer to choose their own opinions, thanks to Custom Product Builder. Something we have always wanted to be able to do. This app has simplified our website development to the point where we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel ! We couldn't give it a higher recommendation....

This is the most useful app for a product configurator. Everything is easy to build and plenty of feature options. Plus the support staff is wonderful. Can't say enough about the personal touch they give to their customers. We love the Custom Product Builder!
We LOVE this app at Villy Custom. Custom Product Builder allows our customers to seamlessly customize their dream custom cruiser with a crazy amount of color combinations. The builder has been live for about a year now and working fantastically, very minor problems if any. For any problems that you may have, the support team is quick, friendly, and knowledgeable. They seriously make my job easier.
This app has been a life changer for our custom sites. We are passionate about custom and in the past we even developed our own custom tool and that was a huge mistake. This app exceeds every single feature of any other app out there. The app developers are extremely responsive and proactively adding new and great features to the tool. The color overlay feature is one of my favourites and allowed us to reduce the image quantity almost 10x. Before we used to have each render for each colour, now we simply use the base renders with the specific textures and apply the colour overlay, and it looks almost as good as before. Highly recommend this app to anybody who is willing to do custom products in Shopify. Massive thanks to the Alex and all the team behind this great app!
This took us some time to get right, but the team was very helpful and supportive and able to make the custom features that we needed work. We have found the support very good. This has been a huge goal to get this feature on our site, and we are very happy with the results. The back end is very user friendly to make changes, and the team is very open to improvements. So robust, and quite easy to use considering how complex it is! Also, customer support is amazing! They respond within a day and were able to help me with advanced technical issues and help me with my CSS. It is a powerful tool, does everything I need it to, works quite fast, and has so many options that aren't too hard to use.

Works great! Set one up for titancasket.com. Team was extremely responsive in helping me get set up for a few questions I had, but it's mostly self-service. Really exciting and we've seen good traffic to the tool already.

On my previous wordpress site, with my knowledge of web building, it was not possible for me to have a custom product builder of this level, but this app made it so, so easy. The customer service I received was also excellent - they helped adjust the theme of the app to better fit my website and adjusted features that I needed, both with speed and ease. 10/10 would recommend for service alone.
A few bugs like any reasonably sophisticated software, but support fixed them, gave me email updates and walked me through the necessary fixes. Overall great experience once I got up and running.
Support is incredible. I had so many questions/concerns but they walked me through every problem I encountered and I ended up with an absolutely incredible, one of a kind jacket builder that isn't anywhere else in the world! $50/month for this feature is so worth it. Yes you have to put in the work - make sure all your images are the same resolution and have proper transparency to layer. But the end result is great, though the learning curve is high.
This app is the most versatile app on the market. It allows you to do some very subtle and complicated manipulation of the preview image. It also allows for infinite price variants and conditional logic. There are a few bugs but it seems like the dev/support team works around the clock to make sure everything is working right. Custom products are an important part of our business since we manufacture our own products. Coming over from a Magento website with a very complex custom made product builder, we did not think we would be able to recreate our offer by simply using an app. After reviewing many apps, we decided to go with this one and found many great features. Since we have so many options to offer, we had issues with the preview not working all the time. The developper investigated the issue with us an found a solution. Now we have 2 very complex custom product builders on the site and looking forward adding more in the next months. The app is simpler to use than what we had on Magento and also offers nice backend features to see what the customer build using option, codes and an image.
I have been exploring this app for several months. The developers have been very responsive any bugs that have cropped up. I have moving away from BOLD apps and had a very bad experience with their product builder app. This app has a better interface, updates quicker, and is has the extremely critical feature of image overlays. (We have a very customization product that would have required thousands of individual images to represent correctly). The app is a bit young, but they are actively making improvements. I will update this review after we have it live for several months.
