This is the only app we found that syncs individual sales receipts on the payment capture date and time and not the order date and time, so non domestic currency transactions sync accurately to the cent with zero discrepancies. Other apps always resulted in annoying 1-50 cent discrepancies post sync and correcting them wasted so much time. A pricey app compared to others but if you're selling in multiple currencies with multiple processors (eg Shopify payments and PayPal) then this app is absolutely essential and will save much more in time than the $65 hit.
Synder has saved me a huge amount of time on entering invoices and sales. Syncing all my transactions is simple, and I love the new reconciliation feature. What really sets Synder apart is the support. They respond quickly, and they reach out on their own when they notice an issue, which is rare. Highly recommend.
Synder has helped me so much. I have it installed on my Shopify for 2 different ecommerce businesses. It syncs so nicely with my Quickbooks online and makes my end of the month bookwork so easy. It categorizes all elements of every sale correclty, so I don't have to second guess it. I honestly don't know what I would do without it.
I've been using Synder for about a year and it's been great! Synder was very helpful with implementation with my bookkeeping team, and they're always very friendly when questions come up. I don't spend much time inside of the platform myself – that's what I pay the bookkeeper for! – but when I do need to use it, the platform is intuitive and has every feature I could possibly think of. This is the only platform that integrates with EVERY sales channel I needed (Faire, Shopify, TikTok, and Etsy) and I'm very grateful for this app and the easy and detailed reports it allows for!
This saves a lot of time and helps us track inventory and sales by integration with QuickBooks. Snyder software can also be used to import orders from eBay, Etsy, Amazon, and for an extra fee, Walmart.com. I used to use Webgility, but switched for this more affordable option for our small business doing 1000 or less orders per month. I would recommend it.
Update 8/7/26 -A big thank you to Hendrick for all his help! He responded to our emails very promptly and actively worked to resolve our issues. He is responsible, attentive and highly professional! Update 3/22/23 - Phone support George has been super helpful and went above and beyond to solve the issues at hand. Not just doing his job but genuinely trying to solve problems! Update 7/15/22 - The support experience has deteriorated in the past months. The development team is taking extensive time (est. 1-3 weeks) to fix issues. Before then they were able to fix it within a week. Responses from the support team are generally longer than 24 hours, typically in the 48-72 range. The responses often don't solve the issue at hand and would require follow-up, which extends the already lengthy process. I've been using this app for more than half a year. Functionalities - outstanding. I use shopify payment, PayPal and Quickbooks. The integration is seamless, especially considering that Synder is a third party app and have to work with all these guys to get things right Support - extremely knowledgeable staffs who know the apps in and out and have knowledge on the accounting aspects too. Responsive, efficient and willing to help. I've never seen a support team that's this dedicated. Whenever I point out bugs, their dev team is usually able to resolve it or come up with a fix in the next several months. I wish I could have a dev team like this. Those are not easy fixes. Excellent App that automated our revenue process. Very helpful support as well - responsive and willing to help.

I was looking for an app which can help me record all my transactions from Shopify and Stripe to Xero and I decided to try Synder. Synder provided great ease of book keeping syncing both my Shopify and Stripe into Xero seamlessly. Bit of set up is needed although it is easy enough to figure out on my own without needing to contact support.
This app saves our company a significant amount of time. Their customer support is very help and quick to respond.
Synder has reduced the administration of our accounts significantly. We integrate 2 Shopify stores with Xero, and we have added a number of custom developments as well. The Synder team have been excellent in assisting with this, particularly Hendrick who has guided us though each stage with clear communication on timelines and what can be achieved.
We could not survive without this app. It was easy to set up once we got our accounts right. The amount of time it now saves us from a bookkeeping point of view is crazy.
We are using Synder service on two stores. So far everything works well, it helps a lot with accounting (sync to Xero). Matching of payment transactions from paypal with actual order saves a lot of time. Good admin panel with detailed information, filtering and error messages help to solve some issues like items out of stock etc.

She patiently walked me through the process of disabling the Apply Taxes setting in Synder and creating rules to map taxes to the correct accounts in QBO. Synder helps me enormously by simplifying the process of reconciling payments from Shopify and PayPal into my Xero accounting platform. Before Synder it was an almost impossible manual process, but with Synder it's a simple one-click process. Setup would have been complicated for me, but the Synder support team did it all for me. Could not have been easier. And when needed, Synder support were both responsive and helpful in helping me through additional setup issues where my lack of knowledge was the limiting factor!! Yes, it's a little expensive, but if I think of what I'd have to do if I didn't have Synder - well, it would be impossible! Recommended.
Good app and does what it should. A bit expensive and could use a couple more feature to tailor it to your exact needs but overall very happy.

Effortless Syncing and Seamless Bookkeeping! Synder has been an absolute game-changer for our business! We use it to sync Shopify sales, fees, taxes, inventory, and customers with Xero Online, and it works like a charm. The setup was super easy and took less than 15 minutes. Synder supports multiple platforms, and its auto-sync feature has saved us so much time, especially with daily reconciliations. The flexibility of syncing daily summarized entries or each individual sale gives us complete control, and the ability to import years of historical transactions with duplicate protection is an incredible feature. Highly recommended for Shopify merchants or anyone needing a seamless integration with Xero. The only downside is the pricing. Hopefully they consider repricing for importing historical records.
Snyder has been a time saver for our business. The integration is accurate, detailed, and saves hours a month. The system was able to get my company's gross revenues and allow me to see fees and taxes easier. Very happy with the support we received, especially from Lana S - who was always very quick to respond despite the time difference, and the quality customizations provided by Andrew. I appreciate that they always had a sense of urgency and even responded on a weekend. The team even kept us posted after a few days so I was confident that I didn't have to chase them up, which was refreshing! It took some time for us to customize our integration with Xero (as we have some specific requirements) and we had to try quite a few settings to get it right, but it's pretty much flawless now. It may not be the prettiest looking but it offers an advanced level of configuration within the app which achieves almost everything we need and saves so much time on bookkeeping. Highly recommended for the time savings, reliable automation and excellent support!
It took ConnectBooks three weeks to onboard us. The difference in support was a chasm. ConnectBooks have the ability to map products between QuickBooks and your marketplaces with a simple excel sheet - like every other application. Synder do not have this facility, we worked with their technical team but they were slow and provided incomplete mapping and support - more so they did not deliver what was promised, only 10% (enough to fill a screen). ConnectBooks focus on payouts which is all that is needed - no more gazillion new customers interfering with our wholesale business. We asked for a refund of some of the fees we paid so that we could pay the data for our ConnectBooks implementation but they refused. Initiated a credit card dispute. I am disappointed with this experience, I see many good reviews here but recently some very negative ones. I believe this is an account management issue with a specific account manager that needs to get fixed and made right by Synder management.

Regarding product mapping, which was essentially the final step needed to complete your setup, we do offer the capability to upload and efficiently map large volumes of products via Excel. Currently, this can only be done from the support end, but we are planning to introduce this feature for end-users soon. However, our progress was delayed as we were waiting for the response from your side over several months, which affected the completion of your onboarding. We are still ready to assist with accurately transferring your data into the books and would welcome the opportunity to have you as a valued customer moving forward.
Brilliant app and supports the easy and very configurable integration between shopify and xero. I got brilliant support from Sali who helped me out on a few issues which I had while testing out the solution. Overall its been an great experience so far!
Sali and the Synder team were incredibly helpful and spent 40-60 min with me asking great questions and helping me identify the sync issues i had. Very appreciative for their customer service and thank you especially to Sali for all her support. Great product and great team!
I used Synder as our first bridge from Shopify to QuickBooks, worked great, due to our company moving to QuickBooks Commerce which was unexpectedly retired, we needed a solution to manage our data. After so many failed attempts to move our data, even from QB Online to QB Enterprise, the data would not import. Always failed after hours of wasted time, until we came across the Synder App and their Business Importer/Exporter. Easy quick setup and fast results. Darya from support was spot on during setup, with fast response time! Great app!

It saved me a ton of headaches and boosted my confidence, especially with confirming all my mappings and fixing some errors on my QuickBooks Desktop. After that, I stuck with Synder for a few more weeks and even scheduled another session to tackle any lingering questions. Huge shoutout to George, my customer service superhero. He was there every step of the way, patient and always ready to help. It was nice to have an assistant assigned to you from day one! Sure, there are other options out there, but Synder is top-notch – and budget-friendly too. And George? He's the real MVP, no contest. Synder was a game changer for us. After spending hours troubleshooting other apps, Synder was the solution we needed to connect our Shopify to QBO. It now works seamlessly and was pretty straight forward to implement.
Be very careful, if you are thinking of using Synder - it could cause more problems than it solves, and can be incredibly unreliable: we've been using Synder for just over a year, to connect Shopify to Xero, as it had a functionality we could not find elsewhere. But in that time we have had 3 or 4 major incidents, where Synder has created massive accounting issues. Often, these issues seems to happen following Synder 'updating' something, presumably from not checking for bugs properly. For example the latest issue saw Synder not create invoices for £4700 of orders, and instead applied the value of these orders as payments on unpaid invoices, so removing over £9000 of sales from our cashflow and accounts; it took me 2 days at the worst possible timing to manually fix the accounts. Or a previous incident, when in trying to fix another issue, their support ended up duplicating a few months worth of certain invoices (not helpful when you use direct debits..). It has basically been horribly unreliable; everything can be working fine for weeks or months, and then all of a sudden some change or perhaps an update occurs and a bug (not that Synder will ever call it what it is) will have been created, and the key question is how log does it take for you to discover, and what havoc will it have caused in the meantime! It often feels like you are Beta testing Synder, and paying for the privilege... And what refund will you get from Synder for the wasted days, the lost income, and the hit to your credibility with your customers, not to mention the stress of having your accounts messed up? Frighteningly little, they will likely offer you a handful of 'sync's' , whilst charging a substantial amount for the app, and rarely parting with a penny of what you have paid. If I knew what I know now, I would have never started using Synder; but you build your systems around the use of such things, and it takes planning and effort to redesign how your business operates. It holds great promise Synder, on paper, but in our experience it has been costly, incredibly unreliable at times, and Synder seems to care little about the effect of bugs on customers.

The perfect solution to sync Shopify sales into QB Online as a UK-based business. Excellent customer service. Sally took the time to assist me in setting up unique tax codes for varying products in our shop. She was patient, knowledgeable and took the time to ensure I understood each step required to implement the solution.
Extremely convenient app for all e-commerce business owners.
We tried using this app in our Shopify store for over a year but could not get it to sync properly and it has been a nightmare reconciling our books. After many attempts with their tech support, we were forced to find an alternative solution, which is much less expensive and has been working like a charm from the minute we installed it. To add insult to injury, Synder will not reimburse us for the 11 months this year we will not be using their app. What a waste of time and money.

James Plummer was a great help and patiently showed me how to get everything syncing properly and running smoothly. I feel very confident using this App now and knowing that help is just a click away.
Syncing with Synder is a game changer and makes it a breeze of it automatically doing all the work for you, which saves you alot more time. They offer great support too which Andrew from their team was able sort out an issue in no time. Would recommend this to anyone who runs an ecommerce business.

We've been using Synder for a couple of years now and find it extremely beneficial for our QBO accounting system. We recently had an issue where our synchronizations stopped working after an update and Marko with Customer Support was able to give me the resolution quickly. Overall, satisfied with the product and the support. George gave us excellent support.
Works great for keeping everything copacetic between Shopify and QuickBooks. Worth the money!
Found this app through the app store. Does the job well and as described. Only complaint is the inability to accept multiple currencies with the smaller plan. We sell in both the U.S. and Canadian markets, but don't have enough sales to justify paying the larger monthly fees.

Best if you're importing from multiple channels and syncing data by each transaction. Pricing may seem high, but assuming you're on multiple channels, it's not bad 'cause other apps charge by each channel, while Synder charge by the total number of transactions.
Downgrading my rating for the app. In the beginning when the integration was under a different version it worked very well with a few minor glitches - easy fixes in QBO. However, the new integration is causing a lot of extra work and my level of confidence for the app has dropped significantly, This app uses the Product Title (Shopify) to map to the Name in QBO, not sku to sku. Skus are "unique" however Product Titles may not be, Synder randomly creates new products requiring a lot of manual work to fix.. Random transactions, in random accounts, app indications a "complete sync" however in QBO it's missing products on the invoices. I will continue to use this app and once my subscription is up I will research and find something else. It's better then nothing. Original review: This is an amazing App...Felix has been amazing answering any and all my questions no waiting for responses regardless of your time zone. Reconciling has never been easier Synder keeps my tax accurate making filing PST/GST/HST (Canadian) a breeze. Super easy set up, great communication with the developer, t My only regret is not finding this app earlier! The past month has been a breeze, reconciliation was insanely quick!
Turned into an existential threat to our company Synder built an atomic bomb into our entire accounting and did nothing to fix it for one month. We do not know how to proceed, the Service is not replying and we do not have a way out. We have thousands of orders in the backlog that are not synced and no way to solve the problem. Our cash flow is off, our inventory is off and we are entirely blind. Be aware of all the fake reviews of newly added users that only rated Synder. Check the negative ratings for an accurate idea. Update: The friendly Service team helped us to solve the complete shutdown after multiple weeks. Now the tool is 20% working with multiple failures per hour. I am definitely not happy with the current state, as we have one person nearly full-time monitoring Synder. Update: Weeks later, the tool is still not working. Errors and red flags are everywhere. We are in 24/7 contact with support but we are still looking for a solution. Update: The issues seem to be fixed now and our books are restored correctly. Andrew worked hard to solve our problems and we appreciate his assistance. We will update this review in the future in case the system stays stable or collapses again. Update: Another update. After reconciling our books we found countless other problems that were caused by Synder. The service guys (especially Vili) are legends but the tool simply does not work. It creates so many problems and we invest more time in trying to solve them than we are saving using the tool. For the past months, our inventory, sales figures, and revenues have been completely off and we are doing everything we can to straighten things out to close the year properly. So despite all the great and responsive service, Synder and everything is represents is probably the biggest problem we are currently dealing with as a company

We have Quickbooks Desktop for Canada and Synder works perfectly between Shopify and Quickbooks. Many hours saved with the sync of transactions, and the easily mapping of our products from Shopify to Quickbooks Desktop. Our accountant is really enjoying it!
We have struggled in the past with the manual burden of syncing the Shopify transactions into QBO. This application definitely decreases the manual burden and helps to reconcile our books. There is a learning curve if your QBO needs to be set up a particular way to integrate properly. Still working through why certain transactions get "skipped" in the syncing process.

I am a QBO user. Today was my 1st day using Synder. I chatted with Andrew today who was very patient while helping navigate through Synder. He was very helpful. I have a lot to learn, but if the customer service continues to be this good, I am sure I will learn a lot.

There's a lot of Xero to Shopify apps, lots of them with limited or overly expensive functionality. Synder are stand out so far especially with regards to their customer service. I got Andrew on a chat and rather than direct me to 'help articles' - he carefully explained and problem solved all of the technical issues I was facing. This is the difference that will get me to subscribe to a service that actually solves my challenges. Fantastic so far. Highly recommend.
The support team was very helpful to get me where I needed to go. It is a little pricey to get my own data, but in the end it saved me a huge headache.
This product is great for recording costs on Amazon in QB. However, it does not come "out of the box" and it will take hours of programming on your side and continued back and forth via email to get things just right. You have to advocate for your company and your books as the onboarding only covers a small portion of the specific rules and fees you will incur selling on Amazon. Furthermore, be careful about potential price changes after you are in their ecosystem. We have also been waiting on the Walmart fees integration for over a year. Each month, it is a month away from production, but it has yet to come to fruition.
I had been looking for a streamlined solution on how to import all my transactions from the various eCommerce platforms my business uses and Synder has proven to be the one! George provided excellent customer service and has helped me step by step in setting everything up successfully.

Fantastic support team, both Renata and George were a huge help in getting the integration between shopify and our Quick Books Desktop to connect.
We shopped around looking for a better way to import our transactions into QBD. We have a complex Shopify store and our QB is hosted on Right Networks. After some tries and fails, we found Synder. We have had tremendous support from their support department! They are quick to respond and even if a solution is not readily available, they never give up and keep trying until they can, or they send it to the development team to see if it is something that can do in the future. Great folks, great products!
Synder has worked really well for my business! The syncing has made it SO much easier to manage sales tax and the various payment streams (Paypal and Shopify). Customer support is AMAZING; George and Vita have been super helpful and attentive. I have no experience with accounting and they have been really patient and explained everything in a way I can understand. Highly recommend!!
Great platform, however, hard to set up and their pricing structure is not straight forward. Ended up being charged per automation rule, ect... seems like they are trying to get you to pay extra where ever they can.

I've tried a few integration apps before and so far Synder has worked best for me. Felix has been a great help in assisting me with some issues I was facing. I would recommend for easy & smooth integration process.
Synder works great to pull detail of transactions from Shopify into QBO- saves so much manual time and provides appropriate transaction information to able to correctly allocate both spending and income.
As a franchisor with multiple franchisees, this app is savings us valuable time. I am also very impressed with their response time when help is needed. Thank you George and keep up the great work Synder!!
We have eliminated hundreds of manual data entry hours with Synder. I've worked with multiple intagration systems and by far this has been the easiest to use. They have an instant chat bubble so I can ask a question and get immediate help. Andrew has been super helpful with setting up and testing integrations when we added new platforms to automate. Honestly - this is the easiest of platforms to use if you are looking to sync orders, accounting and inventory between platforms.

I was skeptical about whether or not I needed this and was almost ready to bail on it, but then was won over by a FANTASTIC support team (Helen in customer success and then I got Andrew a few times over chat) that helped me get everything up and working and then were SUPER receptive to getting feedback and suggestions on how to improve things. Everything is REALLY customizable which is awesome - it takes a little bit of extra work to get it set up, but once its done its done and everything just WORKS.
We had issues with reconciling Shopify deposits with the Bank feed using Synder. Synder listened to our issue, which I believe is a "we" larger than just our firm, and is updating their Journal Entries to accommodate days there are more than one deposit. They listened, they are easy to work with, they are professional. Support is critical to work with these apps.
We have had Synder for a little over a year to sync our Shopify and PayPal to our QuickBooks. Recently we noticed some discrepancies in our reporting between the platforms. We scheduled a call with Vita in support and we could not be more pleased. She answered all of our questions, found the areas we needed to address, and patiently walked us through each step to get us back on track. We strongly recommend this software for anyone looking to take their online store to the next level and Vita in support for top notch care!
Synder has been a great app to accurately and seamlessly process payments from multiple platforms. It has made doing the books for my online business so much simpler.
The initial set up call was very helpful. The Support Member George Bylin was very proactive and help us navigate the configurations of the orders of Shopify and PayPal.
This is the best tool for QuickBooks syncing that I've found -- and I've been looking and trying many alternatives for years. The thing that I like most is the transaction-level detail. Most other sync apps make periodic entries rather than transaction-by-transaction entries.
