Indispensable for complex and recurring imports. The addition of MCP is huge! I do wish Maibo (the AI) could provide more useful feedback (specific to the import file) but I'm sure we'll get there.

Merges is a great utility recommended to me by a SaaS I work with. A couple of things knocked it down a 1/2 star for me. AI For me, the AI-generated titles have included variant details that needed to be cleaned up, and the automatic description wasn't super useful. It may be of some value to many people, but it probably won't be totally hands-off if you need high fidelity to specifications, for instance. SUBSCRIPTION MODEL I have limited time to use it right now, so I have a bunch of credits. Unfortunately, the only way to unsubscribe is uninstalling the app, which wipes out your credit balance (if I'm not mistaken). A free plan would be nice (so that credits could just go on pause), or else a pay-per-use model more suited to the "project-based" nature of merging (for me, at least). WISH LIST The ability to merge other things like collections and inventory locations would be a great addition. If the AI could suggest things to merge that'd be amazing since I have a large catalog. OVERALL Other than that it works great and the developer is very responsive and helpful. If I could give it 4.5 stars I would but I think for most users it'll be at least that.

Thank you for the detailed review. Update, July 2026: the billing flexibility mentioned has shipped, in two parts. Credits now roll over up to six months of your monthly allowance, and every paid billing cycle adds its credits to your balance, even in months you don't open the app. This was applied retroactively. Separately, a free plan is now available, so stepping away no longer requires uninstalling the app. Banked credits stay available as long as a paid subscription is active. On the AI: catalogs with technical specifications are handled with per-account Custom Instructions that preserve exact wording. An further update to see before/after comparison will be shipped in the next update. Autodetect for catalog-wide merge suggestions remains in active development. Best regards Merges Support Team

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MANUAL PAYMENTS Shop Pay will totally hijack your checkout and prevent customers from seeing manual payment options unless they happen to notice and click a tiny "check out as guest" link. Utterly bad UX! My business clients need to see "Purchase Order" front and center.

Flow is awesome, but does have some maddening limitations. For example: You can use variables in certain email address fields, and you can use fully custom liquid in certain email content fields, but you can't do both in any action. :/ Advanced logical conditions are difficult: "IF (this AND this] OR this". An action can have multiple outputs (yay) but can't be triggered by multiple separate events. The "run code" action is hamstrung. If I recall correctly it can't send an email. Context, variables and email templates don't transfer seamlessly from one scenario to another. If you change your trigger from "Fulfillment Ready" to "Order Paid" the entire flow is broken. It's also frustrating that we should even need Flow for certain things that should be native functionality, like auto-capturing payments EXCEPT when fraud risk is high, or triggering a custom message to a dynamic email address. BUT it is great to have, and keeps getting better. I've upgraded my rating because (and I'm learning how to use it better).

Smile doesn't do everything I've dreamed up (could be a little more customizable), but it covers most needs, and the customer service is above par. Just wonderful to deal with. It's a great loyalty option, for sure!

No complaints aside from the mismatch between the cost and my ability to use it. At $80/month it shouldn't be hard to recoup that investment, but it will involve extra work. I haven't had time to put it to real use. After months of paying for a plan I wasn't using I canceled 2 days after the renewal, and had to jump through minor hoops to get a refund. I think such cases should be automatic and unquestioned by ALL companies, but thank you anyway, Klaviyo.

It's great being able to add this to our customer service game without having to add another subscription to our operations. Other apps may offer more (I wouldn't know) but this is a great option to have without investing time, money and effort into getting chat going.

We're still in the early days of using Finaloop, but it seems like a good product. Aside from a little miscommunication with their responsive and helpful team, my only complaint thus far is that, since their pricing tiers are revenue-based, we end on the same tier as higher-margin companies taking home 4x to 50x what we do. I'm not going to cry about it, but it does rank as the most significant subscription expense for our tiny business. WaveApps might be a good alternative starting out, but we decided to try Finaloop out for a year based on its integration with Shopify and it just feeling like a more advanced, more "high touch" service. Hopefully that holds true and the bookkeeping pays for itself. So far so good.

Still does the job for me. Very customizable templates using a little Liquid. Like most shopify apps, it's neglected. Seems like they prefer to make money taking a cut from developers doing what Shopify could (or should?) easily do?
