I had to make a switch when Shopify & MailChimp got into a ridiculous argument over data privacy. That's when I discovered Omnisend: worth every single penny! Haven't had any issues, it's very user-friendly and their support has always been very quick and effective. I'd definitely recommend it.
UPDATE! (March 5, 2021) ⬇︎ I just want to make it clear that my goal was not to devalue the app, as I definitely understand the value there. I mostly just felt betrayed because the full pricing structure was not obvious from the pricing page and subscription approval page as the details were only provided in the Support Documentation, which I honestly have no idea who would look there for a pricing structure when looking at trying out such app. I'm sure you can understand how founding out through my invoice made me angry. It wasn't even about the money itself, but simply establishing trust... ⠀ I'm happy to report that the Customer Service from Ali Reviews contacted me in a timely matter to resolve the situation and make it right by us. I'm truly thankful and now that we're on clear terms, I can move forward with confidence. <3 ⠀ ORIGINAL REVIEW (March 4, 2021) ⬇︎ BE CAREFUL!! This app will charge you more than advertised. I've even provided screenshots of all the pages where the pricing is displayed and yet, the developers are still arguing about their pricing. I wouldn't recommend this app if you don't want to have to constantly check your invoices for unauthorized charges.

Hi there, My name's John from Ali Reviews - Product Reviews Customer Support Team and we sincerely apologize for this inconvenience caused. Regarding to your concerns as following: 1. On the previous version, we have two pricing for Essential plan and its pricing plan will depend on your Shopify plan. However, because of some limit rules display from Shopify, we cannot show it details on App-listing, we also say sorry since this thing made you feel confused. - Shopify/ Advanced Shopify/ Shopify Plus plans: price will be $29.9 - Basic Shopify plan: price will be $19.9 2. From now onward, with the latest version, regardless of your Shopify plan, you will charged with the pricing plan which has been officially listed on Shopify As you`re having an active chat with my colleague, please let them know if you need further support. Best Regards John
Don't pay for this app! The description states that the Sale Price and Additional Image Link would be included, but it wasn't. In addition to this, the description field ended up showing the Shopify product tags instead of the actual product descriptions and there aren't any mapping options to fix this. There are better apps out there for this purpose at a similar pricing...
This is a very easy-to-use app with a fast responding support team that helped us customizing our lookbooks exactly the way we wanted them. Definitely worth the pricing!
While we’ve been encountering a few challenges, Chris has provided all the support we needed in a timely manner. I would totally recommend using this app to go around Shopify’s design limitations.
There's only one day left before the MailChimp/Shopify integration ends and there's a huge notice when installing this app: "Important! Please archive any Mailchimp welcome e-mail automation before installing ShopSync If you have welcome e-mail automations running in Mailchimp, please archive (not pause) before installing ShopSync. There have been reports that emails have been resent after performing sync, and we are actively investigating the issue. Other automations are not impacted and can be migrated as noted in Mailchimp's knowledge base article." Seriously, who is stupid enough to move forward after reading this? And reading how ShopSync is replying to other people, seems like a huge loophole where ShopSync & MailChimp will not take ownership of any issues, truly try to help their users, but instead play the "blame game" and refer to the other party over and over. Removing this app right away...

Hi there, Eidon thank you for your candid feedback. We've confirmed the welcome email behavior is a bug on the Mailchimp side, and their support team is investigating. It's got something to do with timestamps misbehaving internally. To be clear, this is not something that ShopSync is doing but we felt the urgency to make it transparent so our users don't have any surprises. For now, if you have welcome automations running, we recommend that you archive them before activating our app. You can easily reactivate or recreate them after the sync is done and restart. All that to say, we hope that things will be resolved soon, but we don't have any visibility into their workloads. Other automations are ok to leave as described in the migration guide Mailchimp has published. Let us know if you have any follow up questions. Feel free to reach back out to us at support@shopsync.io.
