Overall a really solid app — no major issues and it integrates smoothly into our workflow. Would love to see a bulk edit option added for collection facets, as that would save a lot of time managing larger catalogs. Our TAM Elias has been incredibly helpful and supportive throughout our experience.

App is a bit clunky to use at times, with unexpected errors popping up when trying to apply changes. Most of the time, redoing the action solves it but nonetheless, it's time consuming. Algolia dashboard is quite useful and has lots of features/capabilities for nuanced execution. Algolia staff and support are super helpful (shout out to our TAM Elias) and bring a lot of experience in helping our business optimize and execute strategy.

Algolia has made search much faster and more relevant on our store. We especially like the control over rankings, synonyms, filters, and merchandising.

App & Dashboard work a bit against each other sometimes. Support is very fast, knowledgeable and helpful tough!

We had and issue with our staging environment not being able to reindex. After speaking with our TAM and entering a ticket our issue was resolved in a day. I am very pleased with the continuing communication and the speed in which it was resolved.

Traduction du moteur de recherche également complètement HS. Bref fuyez loin de cette application, vous trouverez de bien meilleur option à plus de 10 fois moins..

The on-boarding process is basically non-exist. I installed the app via. app store, and all you get is a page with a "Get started" button. Clicked on the button and being redirected to a account register page, after the registration, being redirected back to Shopify app admin page, nothing happens. I refreshed the page, now It is asking credentials such as API keys, which I never been informed about. I didn't even know my account was successfully created or not. Already here, I stopped using the app. If the start phase is this difficult and not userfriendly, how can I expect the UI and features in the app are userfriendly? It is definitely not a straight forward implementation which requires support and that is pretty much none-existent unless you commit to min $12,000 USD a year. Terrible support with pay as you go plan. We have tickets over 20 days old not answered. Thank you for your review. We apologize for the initial delay. Love this app! Tons of flexibility around ranking factors, using tags or metafields. We also have enjoyed using the dynamic re-ranking feature which boosts our products based on CTR and CVR

No support at all!!

We have several stores we manage and were having issues with search and filtering. Algolia has been an amazing tool for our team presenting results quickly, giving us more control over the results that are returned and providing us with great support.

Algolia is a great product and we are very happy with it. This has drastically improved our search and merch experience through AI recommendations and other automations. The platform is always evolving and we can't wait to see the new features. The Algolia app works well with Shopify. It does not provide a frontend framework though so this is something your developer team will need to implement with Algolia. Also their support and CSM are very responsive and we have always been able to find commercial and technical solutions.

I recommend Algolia 100% - When launched our online store we used different apps for product discovery functionalities, it was always complex and the results obtained never made sense. Algolia's app is the best in the market, truly using AI and data smartly and easily, plus continuously evolving and developing new features and always getting excellent support from their team from a technical but also commercial perspective.

Overall a great app integration between Algolia and Shopify, it really is a game changer in terms of speed compared to our previous app, the support team is very helpful in solving our problems also.

Took the app off our store since we longer use it- it is still embedded in the backend causing search issues for our customers.

Installed app, authenticated to algolia, it asks me to select application to create credentials and 'get started'. Loading spinner just spins and never completes, so I can't even do the basic configuration. Email Algolia support, get a response 30 minutes later saying because i am on a 'free' plan, I don't get any technical support. So long story short, can't get the basic app configured, 0 support.

Beware - You will need a full stack developer to install this app for you - no plug-and-play setup. Even for minor adjustments , there is no in-app dashboard to customize.

Algolia has been a great investment in helping us aggregate search records across different WordPress and Shopify environments. Their support has been invaluable -- from presales to post-launch questions. The product itself works great and tying into the API to customize our results pages was very straightforward. We highly recommend Algolia.

Incredibly fast, reliable and flexible search

I've used Algolia for a few years now, originally with the full API integration, and now with the Shopify app and I've been really impressed with both. Investment in the set-up and configuration is definitely worth the output - it's such a powerful tool. Algolia's re-ranking in our collection pages and search results improved our click throughs and conversion enough to quickly pay for the license. I know this because of the ability to A/B test in the tool, coupled with visible and detailed analytics. Would definitely recommend.

It is very difficult to set up and use. You need an IT expert to be able to use this application. I've spent days trying to find a way to use it, but it doesn't work. The support team responds very slowly.

We tested almost every search app out there and spent countless hours finding the right search for our shopify store, robotvacuums.com. We also ported it to another site, freedomusasales.com Algolia is not only better than all search engines, it completely blows all other apps out of the game. I cannot understand any of the low reviews except A: Lazy ignorant people who do not understand what they are missing out on or B: Jealous competitors who know their goose is cooked. Other search apps are just modifications of the built in shopify search, which is extremely lacking in features. Some are so backwards that you cannot even type a search term in middle of a sentence, it will not show results. We are still new to algolia and learning how to harness it but seeing the bad reviews is so categorically false and wrong on so many levels that it just gets me angry and we had to write something... Thanks!

Very overpriced for our needs. Post-sales customer support is slow. The tool itself is pretty quick and slick (once setup, however you will need a professional developer to install it, certainly not a plug-and-play setup. Online documentation and knowledgbase is very technical. Support just send you links to the knowledgebase each time). We have been oversold a package for which we didn't come close to using the quota. Would only recommend for enterprise-level websites.

If I could give Algolia 0 stars I would - THE WORST APP, THE WORST ORGANIZATION, DO NOT USE ALGOLIA!!!!! THEY OFFER ZERO SUPPORT - ONCE YOU ARE SIGNED UP YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. TERRIBLE

Unfortunately we were recommended this app by an old supplier and told it was easy to install and outside of the monthly fee it would not cost too much to configure. Upon installation this was in fact not true and we were quoted thousands of pounds to install the app. We then approached the app provider for help and to discuss the issues we were having. The app provider was less than helpful. We were told there was no option to end the contract early even though we have not been able to use the app so effectively we've paid for nothing with no help, support or understanding of the situation. We even suggested a breakout clause paying half of the yearly fee etc. but there was absolutely no flexibility or understanding from the app provider. This has had a huge impact on a growing small business like ours. As a result we would not recommend this app to anyone as ultimately the service for the amount you pay is not there.

We use Algolia to filter and render collections, product recommendations and search. It is really fast and reliable. Highly recommended

Great app, works seamlessly within your site. (Doesn't feel like a bolted on app as many do.) Good support too, they have helped us achieve some quite complex technical solutions on our store.

Search is the most important feature on our online store with 15k+ products. And Algolia is the perfect solution for us. The indexing process works very well, and the Algolia dashboard gives us tons of features. We used InstantSearch.js to implement a custom search user experience.

I have used Algolia for the previous e-commerce sites on the companies that I worked for and it has always been the best option to get results, users can search for any type of product attributes and make it easier to convert. The spelling check and predictive text functionalities are something that no other search app has make work so well. I would recommend using without a doubt

Let me save everyone some time, money, and frustration and give you a summary of what to expect with this app. The app itself works pretty good, but the company behind it is extremely suspect. For the past 9 months we have had this app in place with their premium/unlimited plan. It cost us $65 per month every month like clockwork. Starting in August-September, all of the sudden our bill went up to $475 per month, and then again $475 in October. When we took a closer look, it turns out there is a "bug" in the app that causes the app to trigger an event which in turn charges us money. So they have created an app that prints money for themselves. We let them know, and all they did for us was give us a $350 coupon towards one of the months, and said they had fixed the issue. Clearly, they have not fixed the issue. We are concerned how many other customers may be the victims of fraud without knowing it. We have made absolutely no changes to our website, yet somehow are experiencing a 9x increase in billing. Also very suspicious, this is the only third party app I have come across that does their own billing, rather than it being billed through Shopify. Now I am having to work with Shopify to get our money back and investigate the potential fraud this company is taking part in. They are extremely slow to respond, and so far they can't even refund us the money, only give us a coupon...something is not adding up.

This Algolia integration was easy to implement and provided a much better result that out of the box search. We've also been able to adjust the ranking and disable typo-tolerance for a few unique strings to better suit our needs.

Excellent search tool, would recommend to anyone.

Algolia is an amazing search SaaS providing an amazing user experience to our customers. We were thinking about building a search ourselves with Elasticsearch, but are now using Algolia to make 3M+ books searchable at shop.autorenwelt.de. Matthieu, who is responsible for this integration at Algolia, was an absolute pleasure to work with - never before have I experienced such a responsive, thorough and helpful customer support. If search is the primary way your customers interact with your product range, don't skimp on it.

A little bit tough to get it started, but once I did I really liked the final results. There is a ridiculous amount of power in this that you can use if you want to (but pay for it). This is close to enterprise level search for a reasonable price per month. We removed Algolia because the free 10k operations don't last long at all. This includes all indexing, searching (per key), etc. If they had a cheaper intro plan we'd probably jump in, but I'll look around to see if there's another option at the price point we need.

Really wanted to use this app, but I cannot create an account with them. I literally cannot press the "create account" button on my browsers (and I've tried all of them). I've asked support to help me multiple times, and they always say they will look into it, but then I never hear from them again. EDIT: they contacted me quickly after this review with a great solution and some extra's.

I'm a Shopify Experts developer, and Algolia is the best search app for Shopify HANDS DOWN. If you go to Algolia.com, you'll see that they're used on some really big name fashion brands like thekooples.com/us/. Best part, it's free!! Their instant search makes it feel like you're on Google. It blows shopify native search out of the water. Installation is a little more involved than a single click, but it's worth it because this is a real platform, not a shitty half-baked Shopify plugin app as many are.. honestly. I've implemented this across a few of my client sites. After reading one of the bad reviews below, I checked and found I was experiencing the same issue on my iPhone. I contacted support and they got back pretty much straight away. After 2 days of some back and forth to try to troubleshoot the problem, Matthieu has been a pleasure to work with, and helped me fixed the problem (so yes, there is a quick and easy fix for it!). They have since written a public post with the resolution https://discourse.algolia.com/t/ios-issues-with-our-shopify-autocomplete/1653 Apart from this little problem, the app itself is great, and we've been able to manipulate it to work with our retail/wholesale store.
