I can't say enough about this app. The results I received from my Crowdfunder campaign were amazing. I pulled in almost $20K for pre-orders of my custom MOC Designs using LEGO bricks in addition to pre-orders for my kits. The interface was clear and the customers could see how the goal was progressing. In less than 24 hours, I hit my goal of 75 printed manuals and 12 custom kits which covered the entire production value and more of the project. Will definitely be using again in the future.
We've used this in two of our stores now and Julian is super helpful and responsive. We're also very happy with the app itself.

These guys were great. I had a vision to use their app in a very unconventional way. 2 weeks of back and forth with their support team, they worked so diligently with me that I felt like I had unpaid employees at one point. This APP was just what I was looking for to be able to run a pre-sale crowdfunding campaign directly from my website! It was straightforward, simple and easy to use! I had a few questions at the end and Julian was an amazing support and guide with his guidance and transparency. As an artist entrepreneur trying to raise funds for my creations, I so appreciate the fact that the monthly fee is all is incurred and not additional percentage is taken as revenue. This app would be much more helpful if: Bundles were integrated into the program, allowing users to offer pre-sale packages similar to Kickstarter. Currently, if you use Downpay (the suggested payment app for smaller pre-sale down payments), you can't use a bundle app—which is necessary because Crowdfunder doesn’t support bundling natively. There were better visual representations of campaign progress. The app currently shows a due date and basic text indicating how far along you are toward your goal, but it could be much better. Aesthetically pleasing progress bars or visual indicators would greatly improve the experience. We ultimately had to delete the app and build this functionality ourselves. Thanks for the thoughtful feedback and for giving Crowdfunder a shot. You’re absolutely right, the current widget is functional but not inspiring, so we’re rolling out a fresh design with multiple style presets (dark mode, retro, party mode, and more) to better fit your brand vibe and make campaign progress feel more tangible. Used to use it all the time, used to be an amazing app. Now it doesn't work at all, can't even get it to load let alone function. Really disappointed. We’re sorry. This worked perfectly and allowed me to run a crowdfunding campaign on my website without using a third party service like Kickstarter. I saved a lot of money by paying the monthly Crowdfundr fee rather than paying a % of Kickstarter fees. Thank you, Abby! This app automatically hid the add to cart button when my campaign met its goal, even though I never turned on that option on my campaign. This should never be an automatic setting as this potentially costed me sales in the period of time where the add to cart button was down.

Based on your feedback, we’ve updated the app’s main Settings form to improve control over the “Hide ATC button” options. Now, there are no default values for those fields, and they’re required. This ensures they’re only applied when you specifically choose them. For each campaign, these fields remain optional, so you won’t have to set them every time; the settings will just fall back to whatever you set globally. Thank you for helping us make Crowdfunder better! Your input directly shaped this update, and we hope it creates a more seamless experience for you and all our users.

I used this to bring back a product we had not sold for a few years. It was easy to setup and worked well. The only thing I thought was strange was the way it displayed the number (the used of the . and , was confusing for some people) It may work in some European countries but not ours. Apart from that it was flawless and will more than likely use in the future again.
Incredibly helpful and thorough in helping me setup the app with our existing page builder! Very friendly customer service. Also its easy to integrate products between Crowdfunder and Shopify.

Our courier service lost thousands of dollars worth of inventory for a product launch and we were able to recover in part because of this app! Made it super easy for us to crowd fund / pre-sell to produce a new batch of inventory with the support of our customers and to turn a tough situation around. It's easy to use and install. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking to launch a crowd-fund campaign!

Every time I click Published theme, it always prompts We're sorry, but something went wrong. If you are the application owner check the logs for more information. I'm fucking pissed off, shit.

This is a great app that is simple to set up and get running quickly. I was a bit nervous about starting a crowdfunding campaign on my Shopify site but we got funded within two weeks! Customer service was really fast and helpful when we had questions too. I'd highly recommend this app.

It's a pretty simple and effective widget that appears on your product page and doesn't interfere with your orders or logistics at all. It doesn't have a lot of the extra features some other pre-order apps have like delayed/partial payments, etc., but it's not meant to be that. I can handle those details in my admin and with my 3PL, and this just does a great job of showing the goal and creating urgency. My only feature request is to be able to embed the block on other pages in my store via the Theme Editor. Currently, every campaign is tied to a specific product and product page. Customer service was also very helpful in helping me customize the look and functionality right away!

自サイト内で予約商品の先着販売をするために利用しました。英語の管理画面ですが、機能も管理画面もシンプルなのでそこまで難しくありません。 （なぜかアプリ内の下層ページから別の下層ページへ遷移しようとすると、ずーっとローディング状態になり、一旦アプリのロゴをクリックしてトップに戻る必要があります。その分、星を１個減らしました。） また、当アプリ単体では、予約販売商品と発売済み商品を一緒にカートに入れた時の制御ができません。 総評すると、資金を集めるクラウドファンディング目的での利用ではないのですが、購入数が増えるたびに達成率が伸びるのでエンタメ性もあり、会員向けやコアユーザー向けの先着販売といった販促には大変有用でした。
Pretty straightforward to use, without all the hoops I would have had to jump through to set up on a lot of the better-known crowdfunding platforms. A great boon to be able to host a crowdfunder directly on my shop without having to redirect customers to a completely different website.

Excellent. Easy to load. Looks good. So much better than using a crowd funder site. Not only do you raise money but you also drive customers to your site, which is brilliant if there are other products. All queries dealt with quickly.
Kurt provided all the help we needed to get our campaign drafted. The app does everything that we need it to do and even though my coding knowledge is about as basic as can be, I was able to make some small changes to the style of the preorder display with the instructions provided. Kurt and team provide even more support through the resources they send out and the Youtube/podcast that they produce. Really helpful information in both. Great app!
A good app that does what it advertises. I tried it and it turned out we needed something a bit different. I did much appreciate the honest reminder mail to unsubscribe before the trial ran out. Not like a lot of "free trials" that are only intended to fool you into letting the "free" part lapse.
I have been using this app for quite a few months. It just works for exactly what I need - easy to install, and the support so far has been top notch!
Amazing support from Kurt, he went way beyond my expectations. Always looking to help and very honest, he will tell you right away if the APP meets your requirements. Highly recommended.

I looked at all the other options in the app store and nothing else looked as clean and easy to use as Crowdfunder. After install, Kurt responded swiftly and helped get our campaign up and ready within a day, and that enabled us to hit our funding goal quickly over 200%! Next time I'm looking to crowdfund, I'll definitely install Crowdfunder. My only suggestion is being able to add clearer ways to display variants for better UX. Otherwise, this is great and simple to use!
I found this app to be really easy to use and deal with! It helped me create a fundraiser for a customer easily and it looked great. Next time I need a fundraiser or want to open something up for pre-orders, this is definitely the app I will use.

Works great. Easy to set up and install, no issues running a campaign. We just did a pre-order that surpassed our Black Friday weekend. Customers love seeing how they can contribute. My only suggestion would be to add items such as 'stretch-goals.'
App is very straight forward to use and east to install/implement. Also the support for the app is exceptional. We tested the app along with several others and came back to this one because the functionality and support.
I've only run 1 campaign, but it did really well. I just updated my theme and needed some assistance from support. They got back to me right away, and it was on a Sunday! I'm very impressed!

I am currently in the free trial stage with this app and so far I love it + will download! For our store, we will be using it for a less conventional purpose. Customer support has been monumental in the install and customization of this app for our store. I look forward to future developments of this app like crowdfunding for a grouping or bundle of products and being able to enter in any contribution amount. (Crowdfunding towards a total goal as opposed to each contributor purchasing a quantity of a product or variant). I would definitely recommend this app to anyone who's thinking about it especially because the customer support is so responsive and helpful.
Setup is easy. I am trying to pre-sell my ebook and I need a separate plug-in for that. After the campaign is done there is no way I can send a download link to my customers.

Hi Ian, you're right, Crowdfunder does not change how orders are fulfilled. To fulfill a digital download like an ebook automatically, we recommend using Crowdfunder with Shopify's free Digital Downloads app. Hope that helps. -k.

Super simple to use to create your own "kickstarter" campaign on your Shopify store. I had a question about the app and I got an answer within 24 hours which actually solved my problem instead of making it worse (which sometimes happens with some other company customer service reps). Also, the best part is, with this app, we were able to generate 730 preorders for our children's book which equals to $14,600. Thank you Ethercycle for creating this awesome app!
The upload was seamless and easy to instal evenl for the non IT type. Kurts customer service is so outstanding that you are cared for the entire process, every single step of the way. He shines as brightly as his app!

The app works fantastically! We successfully crowdfunded two products that customers had been requesting for years. It helped us cover our production costs and launch the products. I like this app a lot! Not just because it's simple and easy to understand, but because of the team behind it! Every question I asked was assisted within a day, and they were very thorough. To the degree that they were willing to go into my css and fix a loading issue that wasn't even their problem! You guys rock, and I can't wait to see what other improvements you make to your app.
Before installing Crowdfunder, I was concerned about having to install a bunch of janky code in my theme, having to pay extra fees, or jump through hoops. As soon as I installed it, I was relieved. The app is easy to install, flexible, and easy to use. Plus the support from Kurt and Ethercycle is great. Our pre-order campaign is off to a strong start, and we're already looking to launch more products this way. I'd recommend Crowdfunder to anyone who is looking to maximize sales when launching a new product to an existing store.
Awesome app, easy to install and set up crowdfunding projects! This suits our product amazingly well as we almost always need a minimum number of pre-orders before creating a new variation of our product is viable, and we now have this to manage them with total transparency for the customers! With a bit of planning it also works well for offering group buy pricing too which is great! If you run pre-orders or group buys, this is a no-brainer!
