This works great for driving sales from our highest traffic non-product pages. We also use it to highlight deal deadlines and pre-order deadlines. I feel bad that I only use it for 2 months a year and uninstall it every January. It's priced about right, varying by usage. My one feature request is to have more granularity on the pages it displays on. I would love to show it on all non-product pages, or all blog pages. It has some good targeting options (including by URL) already but I wish it were expanded a bit more.
The main issue for us is that there's no way to access the files and personalization in an automated way. You MUST have Shopify app access, navigate to the app, and download the ZIP files, then extract them locally, then upload them to a shared drive. It does nicely display the selected options in the order details, however my other nitpick is there's no clean way to access these details in Shopify Flow or any other Shopify function. So again, it can't be automated. The output is a very messy Google Sheet without structured data. The support team has helped in a few cases to fix issues for us. I'm hoping they can come up with a Flow template to share to help this as well. The app itself has lots of options and lets you do almost everything. It's a bit clunky in the UI but that's to be expected for the functionality packed in. I just can't give it 5 stars when the data extraction is so limited and I have to spend more money per week paying VAs to extract files than I pay them monthly for the app.
Customer support is always excellent!
Haven't used it since they commandeered checkout from merchants. It prevents upsells, free shipping bars, and other normal things you want to do with traffic to your store. Plus, you have to keep your shipping costs constantly updated in their app to match your actual in Shopify.
Setup was a breeze and I'm really impressed with how much customization is available if you need it. I didn't expect logic-based tile progressions, weekly email reports, and analytics all to be available on the free plan. Unlike many of my other Shopify apps, the UI is snappy, easy to use, and intuitive. I also love how the survey answers can show up in my order details for a heads-up preview when I'm curious about a new order. I'm not there yet, but it looks like it also directly integrates with Omnisend, MailChimp, Klayvio, Google Sheets, Slack, and others. Well done!
Update: Bumping to 5 stars because of all the improvements they have made over the last 2 years. The badge is now highly customizable to closely match your branding and theme, with more placement options. I also love the transparency they've introduced. You can see the exact projects being funded, the credits delivered, and the timeline for each. You can read about each company and they provide you with assets to use when you share the news with customers. Our customers are scientists so the transparency is important. They recently introduced an option to allow customers to cover it if they so choose - that can reduce your costs as well. ---- Love the concept but poor implementation into the storefront. The banner is locked to a specific size and style, sits weirdly close to the above section, and you're unable to add small badges in other places on your store. If you want more than just the store owner to feel good about enrolling, make better display/badge options available.

Hey Genius Lab Gear team, this is great feedback that is consistent with what some other merchants are saying. We're exploring solutions for future iterations, so your input here is very much welcomed. Thanks for installing Planet! - Brady, Sustainability at Shopify
It's a pretty simple and effective widget that appears on your product page and doesn't interfere with your orders or logistics at all. It doesn't have a lot of the extra features some other pre-order apps have like delayed/partial payments, etc., but it's not meant to be that. I can handle those details in my admin and with my 3PL, and this just does a great job of showing the goal and creating urgency. My only feature request is to be able to embed the block on other pages in my store via the Theme Editor. Currently, every campaign is tied to a specific product and product page. Customer service was also very helpful in helping me customize the look and functionality right away!

thank you!
I've literally been on the verge of crying happy tears while learning about, installing, and implementing this app. It solves so many issues I've had with my inventory management and liberates me from being the only person who understands how to fill every order. Now I can keep real inventory numbers, easily have another person fill orders for me while on vacation and (hopefully) make my upcoming switch to a 3PL much simpler. The cherry on top is that the help files show how thoroughly they've tested and solved issues that are bound to pop up with an app like this.

We're crying happy tears just reading this. 🤗 Thanks so much for your thoughtful review. We hope our app gives you peace of mind while you're vacationing. 🌴 Let us know how we can help when you transition to a 3PL.
Easy to set up and low barrier to entry cost with the 100/mo free plan. We'll continue to use it unless the cost doesn't make sense at higher volumes.

Thank you for your feedback 😎
Migrated to this one based on the price and free trial since competitors are up to $30/mo. It was simple to install and straightforward to build the suggested product links. We've started paying after the free trial because the price it great even for low traffic periods. The UI is a bit clunky in places but it doesn't detract from the functionality. Main suggestions are to allow for choosing the left to right order products are shown and to auto update the primary product image after it's changed in the store. We'll continue paying at this competitive price and look forward to further improvements in the UI.
I've ordered samples of mugs, bandanas and a 5x7 canvas wrap print, and all have come out well. The mugs are high quality. I can see how t-shirts would be a nightmare to sell through Gooten given the mockup and variant challenges, but give it a chance if you're selling something with only one or two sizes and no other variations. The prices are lower than anything else I've found. Shipping costs are complex but again can be gotten around if your store and variants aren't complex.
Just finished setting up my first newsletter template and a subscribe pop-up on exit intent for Genius Lab Gear. The UI is incredibly smooth and well-designed. They barely sacrifice customization options to achieve this. I was also impressed that I could schedule the emails for any time and segment subscribers into many lists. I'm on the free plan and I think think that will be just fine for me until I see some serious growth!
