EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift

Great app and great support, we set-up 3 rules and had an issue after 1st day and support were quick to help even arranging a phone call to figure out and solve the issue which was a simple fix. We've already had a number of customers take advantage of their free gifts with purchase in the first day. Would highly recommend.

Causes SERIOUS performance issues. I would avoid this app at all costs. can cause add to cart events to take over a MINUTE EasyGift monkey-patches window.fetch and XMLHttpRequest and intercepts every /cart/add and /cart/update to decide whether to add a gift. I pulled its script apart: before releasing your cart request, it loads its rules from its own backend (aca.506.io) — and that call has no timeout on the main path (one code path even swallows requests into a promise that never resolves). When EasyGift's backend has a bad window, every shopper's cart operations hang until the browser gives up (~60–80s), then the request finally dispatches and completes normally.

Rose was wonderful when I needed assistance! My only complaint is that these discounts are not compatible with the shop app.

We've been using EG Add to Cart on our Shopify store, and it has been a fantastic addition to our setup. It functions exactly as promised and provides a seamless experience for our customers. This app does what it says and we have been pleased with the functionality and performance. Currently on the standard plan but may upgrade for deeper customization of some of the widgets and banners. Out-of-the-box design is not very premium but that was expected given price point. We do not run terribly complex promos but so far have used the free gift with cart value for both single product no choice, and also for multi-variant product where customer chooses the shade/color.
