Excellent app! We've been using it for nearly 3 years now and are really pleased with it. We were using a similar app, but were unhappy with the support they provided, so removed it and defaulted to Shopify's shipping. However, our model is fairly complex with discounts according to weight and price and we had feedback that customers were experiencing very slow checkouts. Which we assume is why we had a steep increase in abandoned carts. Since we installed Calcurates the speed is excellent and we've had zero complaints. On top of this the support has been second to none. Calcurates were extraordinarily responsive and helpful (and patient!). One of the main challenges we faced was managing small regular parcels through Canada Post, as well as large shipments via LTL shipping using a flat rate table with pricing based on the delivery postal code. The only app you need if you have more then one shipping carrier !! We also have complex shipping prices based on weight, postal code, country and volume which the calcurates app handels with ease. I can even import csv files with more then 3000 lines of prices in a few seconds to update everything. Just great to work with. A very powerful app that is 100% needed for full control of your shipping rates and carriers in checkout. Lots of features and settings allow you to completely customize your shipping methods/rates according to your business needs. A very powerful feature that should be mentioned is the ability to fully customize the shipping method names, messages and rates in checkout. Not many apps offer this feature but Calcurates does it flawlessly. Nik and the support team has been extremely helpful in answering our questions and resolving any issues we experienced as well.

Extremely pleased with Calcurates app and Nik’s support – I’m store owner, not strong technical person, Nik showed me how to configure custom packaging for dimensional shipping, packaging rules for ship separately parcels, showed me how to test shipping using Activity Feed, practical settings for Address Validation. Whenever I’ve needed help with settings, configuration, testing rates, etc. Nik explains very clearly what I’m doing wrong and what I need to do. I’ve done fair amount of configuration with this app, our cart shipping functionality is working great, and I’m pretty sure I’m only using a small portion of what this app is capable of doing. Very powerful app and superb support. One undermarketed and underrated thing about this app is it's ability to customize the info messages in shopify checkout, which would otherwise not be possible if not on Shopify Plus. This gives you the ability to share things like expected delivery date, which in my opinion is superior to time in transit. It seems that the developers have thought of almost everything and a few minor tweaks we requested were made quickly. Nik is also very receptive to product ideas and feedback. Because there are so many possibilities when it comes to shipping and product variations, the app is quite complex. Having said that, nearly everything is intuitively placed and we were able to configure this primarily on our own after a couple meetings and a handful of tickets. Highly recommend monitoring your activity feed after deployment to reveal things that may not be calculating as intended and to tweak settings - there were a number of possibilities we hadn't considered and were quickly able to solve for.

We have been on Calcurates for about a year now. We wanted to make our shipping options more robust, offering specific charges based not only on order value but with standard, priority and express shipping options. Further, with a variety of products, it was important for us to include fees specific to heavyweight items, oversized items and shipping to Alaska/Hawaii. On top of that, we wanted to limit what can and can't be shipped to those areas using priority and express shipping. Calcurates made all of this possible for us. Soon we will be setting up specialized pricing for international territories as well. The one limitation, which sounds like it is actually a limitation of Shopify, is that when shipping from multiple different logistics for a single order (i.e. split shipping, in the instances where inventory may not be with all logistics facilities) there is an issue with the shipping charges stacking. Other than that, we are extremely pleased both with the product and customer service we received during and after implementation

We have had issues in the past with our shipping because we have multiple variations (primarily frozen and not, as well as odd package sizes). We've tried all the different solutions for charging duties and taxes at checkout, and Calcurates is the winner by far. They even help us calculate the shipping costs of packages coming from multiple warehouses, using multiple carriers, all in one order. Their pricing is a lot better than their competitors as well.

Replaced another very well known app to calculate shipping rates and qualify addresses for residential/ commercial in Shopify store. Calcurates app had simpler to modify programming and cheaper monthly rates. Highly recommend their offer to setup initial rates with their professional support. Would not have been able to do it on my own. As it was their program did not support Shopify's meta fields to get proper rates especially on products with variants. Our store was essentially down for a day, but Calcurates worked hard on their end with their programmers to fix their program. Their support cared about us and was responsive considering the deadline. I wish the problem would not have happened, but they worked hard to correct it and now everything works great.
