Great app with some great features. Takes a little getting used to as there is a lot to learn. Their customer service is what really sets them apart. Jayson has been amazing to work with. Their response times are amazing. I tested a few other similar apps, but this one is by far the best and has the best team behind them. Keep up the great work.

We’ve had a really positive experience with Giftship so far. The app includes a wide range of helpful features, and we’ve already started using several of them on our site. It also helped us replace another app we were paying for, since Giftship offered similar functionality in one place. The support team has been excellent as well. They are quick to respond, easy to work with, and very knowledgeable. Whenever we had questions, they were able to guide us clearly and efficiently. We’re very happy with both the app and the support we’ve received.

The app is a must have for anyone using shopify for the floral industry. Datepickers, card messages, special notes. And the support is always so quick and helpful!

Once we switched from discount codes to automatic discounts, the app works perfectly. Our business relies heavily on gift orders with most being shipped to multiple addresses. Giftship makes it easy for our customers to place orders online saving us time. Occasionally, we hear from customers who find the app a bit confusing, but the vast majority have no problems. We’ve used Giftship for many years now and consider it an asset.

The App Store listing shows a 'Basic: Free' plan. However, after installation, there is no option to select it — the app immediately redirects to a paid plan ($59.99/month) with no way to choose the free tier. The free plan advertised on the listing does not appear to exist post-install. This is misleading. Hello, Thank you for getting in touch. The Free Plan level is for Development Stores - this is stated clearly in the billing description section. The purpose of having a Free Plan for Development Stores is so that companies can use the application in a Development / Sandbox environment to try it out before making a financial commitment. Loads of great features in the app and the customer service is outstanding. We're already using a few of the features and I am working on adding even more across our site and was able to cancel another subscription when I discovered that Giftship also had the same functionality that we were paying for elsewhere. Fantastic app and amazing support! This app is very 'all singing, all dancing' with a huge number of features - more of which have been added since we first started using the app many years ago. We use features including upsells, gift messaging, a delivery date picker, mandatory checkbox, additional info box and a drawer cart with 'spend £XX for free delivery'. There's a lot more that we plan to start using in the future too. What makes this app the best on Shopify store (in my opinion) is the support. The Gist team are honestly brilliant - always quick to respond and happy to help with any styling issues etc (meaning you don't need to have code and CSS knowledge in-house!). I would highly recommend this app to improve your website customer journey.

I honestly don’t know how this app has so many 5-star reviews. I’ve been selling online for over 20 years, and I’ve worked with countless apps and developers to add custom functions to my stores. Out of all of them, this has been by far the most frustrating app and company I’ve ever dealt with. The installation process was unnecessarily complicated and poorly explained. When I reached out for support customizing the step-by-step builder for our store, I constantly felt like I was being treated as a nuisance for asking questions — even though my questions were reasonable and directly related to making their product work. It feels like the app was built by a group of tech people who released it into the App Store without any real plan for customer support. Their communication style was unhelpful at best and dismissive at worst. I found myself dreading having to email them, and I avoided it whenever possible. On top of that, the default look of the builder was clunky and unattractive for a live storefront. I ended up hiring a third-party developer to redesign it entirely, which defeated the purpose of paying for this app in the first place. In short: confusing setup, frustrating support, poor design, and a total lack of customer care. There are far better options out there.

We have been working with giftship to manage the personalisation of our products and allow our customers to select specific dates to have their order delivered. We have ran into some issues with the integration of our other apps however Jayson and the team have worked hard to fix these issues and get our website running the way we want it too. We love this app for shipping to multiple shipping addresses in the same order, but there are so many other useful features! And the customer service is always super helpful with any questions or requests!

We spent a long time looking for a gift message app that would meet our needs. Many gift message apps don't allow you to add 2 gifts to the basket with 2 separate gift messages, which was essential for us. Giftship does allow this and offers many other add-ons such as gift cards and upsells. Support were very responsive and helpful. I would recommend this app to anyone wanting a gift message app with advanced functionality.

Great features and options! Very responsive and helpful support! The app *might* not do *everything* you want in *exactly* the way you want, but their support gives you a clear picture of what you *can* do, and having clarity on that is in itself very helpful.

We’ve been using the GiftShip app for some time now and have been impressed by the range of new tools that are consistently added and expanded upon. The team has been incredibly patient and supportive, offering assistance to us less technically inclined people, helping resolve style changes, app conflicts, and ensuring everything runs smoothly with the unique way our site is set up. This has allowed us to get the most out of the service. The recent addition of the drawer cart, along with compatibility for delayed dispatch dates, gift messages, and split shipping to multiple addresses, has been particularly beneficial for our gifting business. Many other apps fail to adequately support the specific gifting needs of our customers, but GiftShip excels in this area. While most e-commerce tools focus on the straightforward click-and-buy process, GiftShip addresses the more complex requirements of gifting customers throughout their purchasing journey. Additionally, the app takes into account the fulfilment process from the admin side. When orders are passed through to our shipping portal, all items are listed in the correct order according to the customer’s gift box. This is particularly helpful when customers order multiple gift boxes, as it ensures our fulfilment team can quickly identify which items belong in each box, saving valuable time and preventing errors. Overall, GiftShip has made a significant impact on our efficiency and customer satisfaction.

I have two stores and use Giftship . One store uses different features than the other. However, in both cases, Gifthsip is great. I'm Shop Plus and it's very helpful to use Giftship and I'm not being paid to say this, I sell amazing products not my time for reviews. My experience is always very good with them and their customer support is super helpful.

Be warned: can't use ShopPay if you use this app. If you use this app and enable ShopPay, emails/notifications to customers do not work correctly -- customers get ShopPay notification that their orders have been cancelled (even though neither they nor we have cancelled their order). It's not true that this app is "fully compatible with ShopPay." We've contacted GiftShip support about this cancellation notification issue, and their response was "This is not something we are able to control, as the Shop App acts independently." We had to turn off ShopPay as a payment method on our store...which greatly impacts our business as we received over 50% of our orders via ShopPay...and GiftShip knows about this issue but has no plan or ETA to fix it.

With so many features—like shipping to multiple addresses, bundling products, a custom box builder, along with customizable cart and checkout features to name a few, Giftship simplifies so many mechanisms we need to operate our website. We particularly appreciate the attention to detail and usability, which has improved our customer user flow, and the fast and responsive technical support from the development team at Gist makes navigating the app smooth and easy.

GiftShip has been an excellent addition to our website! We've used this product for a couple years for the multi-address ship option and it's been great! We then started using the order printer, simple transition. Recently, we added the Box Builder and it's also working very well. Support has been amazing as we fumbled our way through adding these things ourselves.

This app is extremely user friendly and the support team is amazing!

If you just need an app that will allow you to send shipments to another address this app will work for you. However, if you care about the analytics of your website DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP. Not only will this app inflate your order numbers (each GiftShip order counts as 2 orders) but it will also miscalculate your financial analytics. This does not mean you won't get paid what you are owed, it means that you will not be able to distinguish what you actually MADE through GiftShip. I have spent countless hours trying to figure out financial analytics including hours on support calls with BOTH Shopify and Gist and it was determined that the API between Gist and Shopify is faulty and Gist was unable to figure out how to send appropriate data to Shopify for store owners to get accurate meaningful analytics.

This app helps us to process orders efficiently! On top of that, their service is quick. For any businesses, this definitely a plus point.

My business uses this app exclusively for the Product Options feature and it's been really helpful. We've run into a few issues over the past few years but customer support has been timely. Most recently we needed help with customizing the packing slip and received a custom template in just hours!

Happy with the app and support provided so far. We wanted to customize the datepicker text formatting and Tim from their support team edited the theme code for us and was a big help. The ship to multiple address and datepicker are important additions to our site during the holidays.

Our experience with Gift Ship has been so good! The team has gone out of their way to offer support and training for our team as we learn to navigate the app. They are quick to respond and very helpful!

I really want to like this app as it offers what I need for my business. However, the lack of urgency in support has got me to rate this only 3 stars. I had to turn off ads and I'm losing revenue until they work out bugs in their system. They know how critical it is to me and yet I do not feel they take it a priority. Most really good app offer a support chat where things can get done quickly. With this app, they do not offer this. Your at the mercy of a different timezone and days to resolve critical issues. I am interested in wholesale app they offer but if it's the same level of sub par support, I'll most likely pass all together and fin another app that gives better support. Also, this app archives multiple address orders meaning its counting revenue twice when it should not, which gives false analytics for my business. The solution they offered was to disable auto archiving orders. But when I do this, the main order is a hot mess with a bunch of code to decider just to find gift message. Also, Customer facing with this solution is not ideal either as again, the coding takes over the order page. It's close to being a phenomenal app, but the lack of support and bugs in their prevents them from being Great.

I've been super pleased with this app. I appreciate all of the features jam packed into this single app - I feel that I am getting a value for my money. My favorite feature is the build-a-box, which, simply put, makes buying more product easier for my customers. When I have had to reach out to support, response time has been prompt and issues resolved quickly and easily. It's a fantastic, do-it-all gifting app.

Alright, let me break down my full experience with GiftShip. I first came across this app 1 year ago, and I implemented it on my website. I knew exactly what I wanted, but back then they did not have it all the capabilities, and I ended up leaving. We just recently came back to GiftShip, and the difference in capability, workflow, and a huge improvement in UX has been tremendous. Picking any paid service is like picking a partner in business, and we are very careful with that. We try to pick wisely. Now, congratulations to the team on the massive growth, and major improvements in the platform. And also for Tim, for being an awesome Merchant Support filled with wise coding knowledge and fast turnaround. The company is lucky to have you!

I wish every app developer was as responsive, prompt, and helpful as Giftship's team! Stella, Mateo, and Tim helped me work through several issues specific to making the app work for my needs. They even helped adjust the text alignment to match my product pages better, along with the padding around their app's added text on my product pages, creating a much more built-in, custom appearance. In regards to the functionality itself, it's flawless. I changed text fields and prompts within the "Manage Translations" portion of the back-end of the app to make it really work well with my store. And, I love that it splits the gifts into separate orders, which pull perfectly into ShipStation. While it may not be the least expensive app out there, it's worth every dollar!

We are big fans of their app, but even more impressed with the customer service. They fix any issues at lightning speed. The team is a joy to work with, too.
