This is our GOTO app for most quick edits (and larger updates to a lot of products). Love this app and the only quick interactions we had with customer support (issues caused by an update from Shopify) was really easy and good. Thanks a lot!
We've been using this app to manage metafields more efficiently, and it has made the process much easier than relying on manual edits. The interface is straightforward, bulk editing saves a lot of time, and it's been reliable even when working with a large number of products. It's especially useful for stores that need custom product data or additional information beyond Shopify's default fields. The support team has also been responsive whenever we've had questions. Overall, it's a solid app that does exactly what it promises and has become a valuable part of our workflow.

Metafields Guru is absolutely indispensable for any serious Shopify store. Their app makes managing metafields and metaobjects in bulk not only possible, but safe and efficient. This level of protection is invaluable when working at scale. We were facing a critical issue with over 1.5 million leftover store-level metadata entries left behind by a risky third-party app that refused to acknowledge or clean up the data. Deleting store metadata is extremely sensitive and risky, yet Sasha from Metafields Guru went far beyond the app’s normal scope. She carefully created the necessary structures, prepared a clean CSV workflow, and guided us through a safe import process to remove the data. Extremely powerful app that really allows you to add as many custom fields of data as you need. The fields are exposed in the Shopify API via connections such as Celigo, making it very easy to sync data between ERPs and Shopify. Reaching out to support was easy, helpful, and a great experience. I would highly suggest you looking at this program if you need more power with Metafieds and Shopify!
Perfect for my use case and very easy to download/upload after my first mistake of forgetting to check the "download empty metafields" to get a template. I was uploading .csv files of JSON which I'm not familiar with and there was an error in the JSON code. I contacted them and they got back to me right away with Shopify's own help documents. I figured out my error and was able to complete my project. If you're doing a lot of uploading it's probably best to purchase the unlimited option. In my case I was able to do almost all my project with the test credits (although I did waste quite a few on my own trials and errors before reaching out) and I purchased additional credits at a very reasonable cost. I will absolutely use them for my next project coming up next month. If I were doing more I'd do the subscription for sure but I think topping up credits because I can't predict my workload is the best solution for me and I'm very grateful it's an option. Overall, great experience!
Completely fantastic support. I have the most silly questions and Sasha always provides me with insanely good instructions with sceenshots. She even added some code that helped me with some padding where needed. Always insanely was responsen aswell.

Ich hatte ein Problem, weil ich neu in Shopify bin und meine CSV für die Metafelder nicht gut vorbereitet hatte. Der Metafield Guru Support hat super schnell, detailiert sich genau angeschaut was los ist, sofort geholfen und am Ende ein eigenes Update gemacht, weil es tatsächlich einen kleinen Bug gab. I am not a developer, but I have found using Metafields Guru has been very simple and easy when it comes to doing updates. The people that initially installed Metafields Guru to customize our website obviously knew what they were doing and the front end of our site looks amazing. I ended up having a question and customer service was there to answer it no problem. Again I am not a developer, but this app seamlessly integrates into our Shopify site and always recommend it to my friends if they're looking to customize their website.
We're still building and testing our new site in Shopify as we move from Magento, but this app has been invaluable in applying and integrating all the dynamic data for our products into our product templates. Even using the free version, the support has been incredible. Huge thanks to Sasha and we look forward to subscribing to a paid plan once our site is ready to launch. Definitely recommended and super helpful when migrating products. It also allows you to bulk edit and add definitions of the metafields so you can do more with your store. The support is also outstanding!

This app is very useful. The bulk exports and spreadsheet functions are simple to work with and make it easy to manage many processes that would otherwise take a lot of time. The app works perfectly! The design is great and easy to navigate. The team was very responsive and answered all my questions in great detail! If you have a big store with many products, this application is a must-have to upload all metafields via csv file. And if your store is smaller, the Exel-like feature will be perfect for you.
This is a fantastic product. Of ALL the apps we have installed, this is the one we use the most. I can't imagine how much extra work would be required without it. In addition the support is top notch. Sasha always answers our questions promptly with very clear direction. 5 stars ALL DAY!!
This app really helped me a lot. One day I found that I couldn't use it, and I couldn't find online customer service at the moment, so I gave a bad review. But their staff contacted me quickly. It was discovered that the problem was not a problem with the application itself, but a problem with our theme template. Even so, Sasha was still very enthusiastic to help deal with it all. It took a lot of time and Sasha also made great efforts. , it was difficult, but he successfully solved my problem and I am very grateful. This app is very good both in terms of functions and the attitude of the staff. I highly recommend it.

I don't remember I have ever had problems with the application it works smoothly. I have just found out about the automation feature and am more than excited to integrate it to work flows for my clients. As for the support, it is wonderful, fast, and knowledgeable. This app is fantastic. It does everything it says it will, with a very streamlined gui - unlike some other apps. More importantly, the customer service is next level. Best I have ever received on shopify. I had an issue showing a metaobject, and spent hours searching google for an answer, I gave up and contacted Sasha at Metafield Guru, who has fixed the issue for me. Please note, this is not an issue he needed to fix for me, as this issue was not to do with his app directly. But he helped me all the same. Fantastic App, fantastic customer service... very happy - have installed on both my websites.

The app works very good and you can adapt your store easily. But the support from Sasha was outstanding. I am in love with this app! Not only is it ideal for managing metafields, it also provides product data NOT included in Shopify's native product exports such as date of creation and GID. The best thing is the level of service they provide. We needed help populating a metafield list based on traditional tags. Sasha with Metafields Guru responded to our questions quickly and asked me very good questions to clarify what we needed. He then created a spreadsheet for me that we were able to import to complete the task. Creating the spreadsheet was complicated and beyond my abilities. Sasha and the rest of his team were able to do what I could not. This saved me hours of work and frustration. If I could give them 10 stars, I would!
This is a fantastic tool to manage your metafields. But above that, the support and customer attention from the team and Sasha in particular is just above and beyond. Willing to spend effort and significant time dealing with the challenges encountered - not even having anything to do with the app - but Shopify itself. Shows that they are there to simply support the eco-system and deal with newbies as well.
Metafields Guru is an amazing app. If you have a large catalog and take your web development seriously it is an absolute must have. Frankly all of these functions should be native to Shopify but Metafields Guru makes it feel like they are. If I was to recommend one change it would be adding the ability to edit Native Shopify Fields in the Excel Like Editor but this is already the most valuable app Shopify has.

Sasha is very helpful and is willing to go the extra mile to help, even the request is very minor such as moving the existing Metafields into a newly created Metafield Group/ Set. I hope all vendors will do the same when the client is asking for a minor task without hesitation.
I don't know much about metafields, but am learning lots with this app. The interface is so simple, clean, and easy to navigate that it seems much less daunting. The support portal is truly amazing, and I've received help from the developer Sasha directly any time I've had questions. That alone makes this app a 10 in my book! The bulk editing feature is so helpful and makes editing super easy! If you need an app for metafields, look no further!

Sasha at Metafields was AWESOME! I wanted to add content to the BOTTOM of my collection pages but nobody seemed to be able to help. Not just general content that would be the same on each collection page, but UNIQUE CONTENT for EACH collection page. After a few emails, it was mastered! Wow! Looks great and functions great too.! A good way to get more content for SEO & google rankings. (My Shopify theme is Responsive by Out of the Box).
I'm not sure what we would have done without Metafields Guru. Cloning a Shopify store using another app and wow did all our painstaking product metafields get screwed up! We have been using MF on our other store - contacted them for this shop and asked if they could help. And help they did, explicit instructions and screen shots and advice. Now our new store is in business. Thank you Metafields Guru!

This app works very well and saves a ton of time. I use it on two sites to manage a few thousand products. Today, my imports stopped working, so I emailed the app developer. He responded within minutes with information that Shopify was having issues. Once they resolved, the app was back to working perfectly.
We have a large catalog with 20000+ products and we use Metafields Guru on almost a daily basis and it is a real-time-saver. I have needed help on a few occasions and the Support is first-class! Always fast and they go on and beyond helping us achieve our tasks. Recently, they helped me generate an impressive number of metafields (19772 to be exact) based on some random keywords in our product titles/descriptions. Very impressive. I would leave 6 stars if I could.
10/10 would recommend. The support is incredible. They were able to convert all my tags into metafields so I could switch to it for filtering by creating a custom import file. What would have took me weeks to figure out was able to be solved in less than a day. They’re support is fast and concise and their app is the best one available for anyone looking to get into metafields!!

Amazing app, allows to set metafields outside of the general Shopify environment. Metafields can be set per product, vendor or tags, which allows you to keep a clean working environment. The interface itself is easy to use and loads fast. We are using this app for every single product now and it can also work on any other that supports metafields. Support is super fast and responsive and act to any potential issues immediately. Highly recommended if you need to work with metafields.
While the app seems like a fantastic idea, the app is too far from perfect. The app does not allow for a full hands-on trial. You are only limited to the “Free Version” that in the essence is a useless tier. In order to really test drive the app you will need to purchase a paid plan, oh wait your store has too many products so you’ll need to be on the top paid tier. Wow… $60.00 just to test an app… Yikes. Turns out the app was not successful at editing our metafields and has now filled in $0.00, now causing other issues. When trying to talk with support they are not addressing our real problem, they keep trying to blame the user for the issues as well as keep touting how wonderful the app is. Too bad to say the least… I would review some other apps before working with Metafields Guru (not). All in all, we tossed out $60.00, so a pretty good win for the developer I suppose.

Well, today is the day - our first negative review 🙃. For the sake of justice, I’d like to share more details about this situation. The merchant reached out to us and reported an issue with the data they imported from a CSV file using our app. Upon further investigation, I discovered that the data was imported correctly. However, even though the data was correct in the backend, it was not getting displayed on the storefront. Usually, this indicates a theme problem, so I offered help with checking this theory. The merchant provided me with access to their store and I checked the source code of their active theme. Turned out that there was a piece of code that converted string metafields into numbers before displaying them on the product page. The problem was that said code expected values to be formatted in a very specific way. The merchant accidentally used a slightly different format while populating values in their CSV file, which resulted in the code being unable to process the data. I offered two different options for resolving the issue, and it looks like the merchant ended up using one of them. But the merchant was still upset about the situation, so they decided to keep this review. It's a shame that a third-party issue ruined the experience of using our app. - Sasha
This APP got me just what I needed. Thanks to Sasha and her expertise, she was able to help me create a pop-up size chart link. I honestly don't know how she did it, but she was able to help me learn to recreate it myself so that I'm able to manage them on my own. I'm grateful for an app that delivers in all areas (Development and customer service).
Does everything you need it to do, like add tabs to product descriptions, but the app support is AMAZING. Huge shout-out to Sasha (who happens to be working out of Ukraine, of all places) who fixed my issue like a total boss--that actually had nothing to do with any issues with their app but was due to another problem entirely and guess what? he helped me fix it!!-- while navigating the hellscape that is the war going on in his country right now with only positivity and professionalism. This is an awesome app to use for managing metafields. Shopify's new metafields have a few glitches, and we use Metafields Guru to help us fill those gaps. Very good app for us to enter in meta fields for our international shipping. Excel editor was a life savor and it allows you to autofill the same variants once you inputted one type instead of typing every HS code and such for every variant. The customer support was also excellent. I highly recommend this app.
