The app is great and the support is even better! Sounds cliche, but it's true. I added Buy X, Restrict Y because we are offering preorders on a bunch of items - Some are expected to ship to customers in spring and some in fall. We didn't want them ordering both spring and fall items on the same order, because we'd have to hold their order until fall when it could ship complete. This app saved us a lot of time usually spent sending and answering emails about preorders. Even more superb, though, is Bharat - the app's developer. I had some trouble separating the collections because of the way I had them set up originally, and he not only answered my questions, but with my permission, he logged in and made some changes that helped... and then he followed up not once but TWICE over the next couple of weeks to make sure it was working the way we needed it to! That's amazing. Edit March 6, 2024: We've used the app for over a year now and it's saved us a lot of work, while keeping customers happy. When I've had questions, the MageComp team has answered promptly, logged in to check our setup, and been very professional and helpful. I recommend them, and am planning to add another of their apps to our site as well. Hi there, MageComp team thanks you for using our app and taking the time to share your valuable feedback on our Shopify plugin. We're feeling happy and glad that this app fulfills your business requirements & works as per your needs. Take a look at over other apps & enhance your store's performance. Thank you again!
This app is AMAZING! It seems like a simple thing - rearranging in what order shipping options show on your site - but it can be very important. For us, we offer a Hold program (so customers can combine multiple orders into one shipment) and In-Store Pickup. Because those show as $0 cost at checkout, Shopify used to default to them, and customers that didn't read would leave it defaulted, resulting in orders being put on Hold here, not shipped, and and confused and upset customers, who thought they were getting free shipping. Now, we're able to move those special services to the bottom of the screen and have checkout default to our preferred shipping method instead - That's a win for saving me time and providing a better customer experience! Even if you don't have special programs, maybe you prefer to use a certain carrier, or prefer to ship Priority rather than a slower service to protect your fragile items... There are lots of case uses for this app. Regarding support, I've had MZL's other app "Bespoke Shipping" installed for a couple of years and both their other app and support have been amazing. Min is a master at what they do, is prompt, easy to talk with, and just all around great.
This app could well have been named "Store Owner's Wish List" because it has everything I've been wishing for in a pick list app! I've tried just about every one that has come out, and Pick List incorporates all the best aspects of the others into one place. It shows a thumbnail image of your item, its title, how many to pick, how many are left in inventory, and can be sorted in multiple ways to fit your picking style. It's customizable, so you can also show what order # the item goes into, pick location, even item price, if you need that. if not, you can hide those fields. For picking, it includes a +/- button so you can pick one at a time, and also a check mark if you want to mark the entire quantity picked. It can even hide picked items on the fly, helping you easily focus on the remaining items. Once you've picked everything on your list, it gives you the option to one-click tag all of those orders as picked, or even as fulfilled if you want. This app is super flexible, so it should work well for all size businesses. If I were to hunt for a negative aspect, it's that the order list can take a couple of minutes to load for us, but that's because we have over 500 unfilled orders currently. Once our preorders get filled, reducing our open order numbers, I imagine it will load quickly. Five stars, and one happy store owner, here!

We've been using Give & Grow for a couple of years now and love it. We are part of the Pledge 1% movement, giving 1% of sales to charity. Give & Grow makes this easy - Setup takes only about five minutes and then it runs on autopilot! When we first set it up, I verified with our first beneficiary that they were receiving funds from G&G's parent organization and they confirmed they were. Last November, we found a local non-profit and made them our beneficiary. They confirmed they received their first check within a month, and we have now donated over $700 to them without me having to do anything after setup. This app is great both for busy store owners who want to do good, and for the charities that benefit!
The app is a great picking app now, and appears to be getting better all the time! The developers seem quite interested in making it the best there is, and have asked great questions about our needs and the way we use it, in order to continue to add useful features. I'm giving it four stars now, but expect to change that to five with the addition of some features, like sorting items by sku.
Really slow, as others have said, and notifications of customer messages only come sporadically. I can check the inbox and clean everything out, then five minutes later check again and there will be a message a customer supposedly left hours ago. What the ---? That creates terrible customer service. I also can't figure out how to link a product into the message, even though the app store description says it can be done "easily." Like so many other "great ideas" Shopify has had lately, it seems hastily put together with little beta testing by actual users before release. (Shopify email ring a bell?)

Thank you for writing your review and for sharing your candid feedback with us here, which is something we are grateful for as we seek to develop and improve the app over time. Your feedback regarding the delayed notifications has been logged with our team. In terms of linking products to the messages you're sending, you can do this by clicking on the product tag icon in the app: https://screenshot.click/05-13-39845-6940.png. Clicking on this will allow you to search for products in your store and link them to the message you're sending. If you're having difficulties doing this, or if it doesn't seem to be working properly for you, please contact our support team directly so they can offer their assistance and troubleshoot this issue in more detail: https://bit.ly/2AWw5VA. -Victor, Shopify Support
This is our third loyalty program change. The first was decent but lacked some user-friendly backend features. The second was forced on us when they bought the first and changed it all around. Their support stunk and they removed branding ability. So we went hunting and found Loyalty Lion. LL used to be an expensive app, no doubt, but with the free plan and a la carte feature add-ons in the Shopify store, we were able to build a plan we (and our customers!) liked for less than we had been paying for the previous plans! People who think it's pricey - I have to imagine they think they need "all" the features for their store, and keep adding things. That's like going to a restaurant and ordering everything. Yes, it would be expensive and you're probably not going to eat it all anyway. I recommend starting with the free plan and then surprising your customers by adding a feature later on. Make sure it's a feature that would appeal to your particular customers. Set a budget and choose only extra features that are most important to you within that budget. So, here is what I love about LL, now that we've run it for a month: 1) The transition from our old program to this one was amazingly easy! We downloaded a csv file from our old program with names and balances, and the LL folks uploaded it within 24 hours! All of our customers kept their balances through the transition with no errors or issues... and there were over a thousand of them with balances. 2) Not only can we customize the widget (that's a feature we found value paying for) to match our branding, but the little button on screen for customers has our program name and even shows their points balance, right there! They no longer have to go hunting for it - As long as they're logged in on our site, it's right on screen for them. They LOVE that. Seeing it also reminds them that if they order more, they'll get closer to a reward. 3) LL customer service has been awesome! I have talked with several people through our transition and with questions afterward. They were all English speakers, making it easy to communicate with them, and were all professional, friendly, and encouraging. I had kept our old program in the background during the early trial phase of LL, but their customer service folks sealed the deal for me, and I am now a solid fan. My customers are collectors (we sell collectibles) so collecting "Pony Points" is fun for them, and they love redeeming points for discounts off items they want. Having a loyalty program has increased our sales noticeably. We've had great feedback since changing to LL, even from customers who have been accruing points with our previous programs... They noticed, and liked, the change. Update: 12/12/2020 - Just updating to say that we're still thrilled with both the app and the results it brings after using it for over a year. Don't underestimate the power of encouraging loyalty in your customers! Through the pandemic, our sales grew 30%, and much of that was from regular customers who use our loyalty program. Update 8/27/2021 - Just updating to say we STILL love Loyalty Lion!
I'm pretty particular about the look and feel of our store because I have loyal customers who like things a certain way. This app has added great functionality to them while still feeling familiar to the Shopify-native search set-up. I hadn't realized until recently that our past blog articles were not easily accessible, nor were our special pages. This solves that problem by allowing a search to pull up all of those things as well as items, but keeping them separate so the results are organized and make sense to customers. I had some trouble with it "off the shelf:" I wanted search filters to automatically appear because my customers were used to that, and I wanted the color scheme on the filters to match the site's color scheme. Graham has been very helpful, writing to fully understand my problem and then diving into making everything perfect for our store. It now looks great, feels intuitive, and works perfectly for our customers. Our blog articles are getting more views and as a result, items linked in them are seeing an uptick in sales. Customers have emailed to say they love the new search with photos of items included in it. This app is going to help your customers and your store, and the price is very reasonable - Seriously, what are you waiting for?!
This is a very handy app for stores with products that need more explanation or boilerplate text. You can set tabs to show for certain products, so you can add safety warnings, shipping information, or for us: a glossary of hobby terms so that non-hobbyists aren't stumped by some of the words in our product descriptions. It's fully customizable so you can make it fit your store's personality. The true test of any app, though, is how the developer responds when something doesn't go perfectly. We heard from a customer with sight issues that the voice-over accessibility feature on her iphone wasn't working with the tabs. I contacted the developers on a Saturday, and they spent the whole weekend working on this and testing it. They kept me informed, and by Tuesday, they had pushed out an update that had voice over compatibility working perfectly, verified by our customer. That gave me a lot of confidence in this app and all apps they produce! Nicely done, Meghan and team!
I originally gave this four stars after putting together one article (which was tricky and a bit buggy), but once I saw the result on our site, I was not pleased. Different fonts and colors appeared in the post on our site than were showing in the app window. Headings that showed in the app as all in caps were not when seen in Shopify. The app is also still limited and needs improvement - We need to be able to add back in any of the blocks that are available... If you delete a block, you can't re-add it. It also needs some more flexibility, and hitting the backspace in the wrong place shouldn't back you out of the article in progress without saving it! I did contact support and quickly received a request to access my store to work on it. They reported it fixed, but when I previewed the article on Shopify, nothing had changed. This could turn into a decent app in the future, but currently it looks like they're trying to get people to pay for an incomplete app that should still be in free beta, for all its bugs and limitations. I am deleting it while it's still in free trial mode. If they make significant improvements in the future, I may be willing to try it again, and if it's better, I will edit this review.
This is the app we've been hoping for! It's great for keeping your store "clean" for customers (hiding out of stocks) but it's critical for stores that want to debut items in the future. This app replaces Shopify's clunky scheduling feature, which only schedules future items to publish on Shopify, not on other channels. With Chameleon, you simply tag the item and it will publish on the date and time you've chosen - TO ALL CHANNELS you have it set for! That includes Facebook, Instagram, Google Shopping, etc! My store sells collectibles. We add new inventory every Friday night at 8 pm to keep our customers checking in frequently. That used to be labor-intensive - Even though I could write the listings in advance and have them publish to Shopify, I had to go back in and publish them to the other channels afterward. With over a dozen new items going live every week, that added a lot of time to my workday. Now, I ignore Shopify's scheduling section and simply put a tag on each item I write. On Fridays at 8pm our time, they go live to all channels, and I start to hear "Ka-Ching!" immediately. I have Chameleon set to hide out of stocks after 7 days so that customers who saw a preview of a new item but missed out on buying it know that it already sold, but after 7 days it disappears to keep our site clean. I have been using Chameleon for over three months and I trust it completely. As a matter of fact, I can't imagine not having it now! Set-up is super easy: Choose the stock level at which you want to hide items and whether to hide them instantly or set a schedule, choose the stock level at which you want to unhide them, assign a tag you can use to ignore certain items, and if you write listings ahead, tell it what time of day you want them to debut on. (The debut date will be set automatically by the tag you add to the future items.) That's it - It's done and ready to save you a TON of time! Thank you so much for the wonderful review! It means a lot!
This app and its developers have impressed me a lot! I run a very complex store for collectors, with proprietary programs that often make adding apps a challenge. We had run a different sale scheduling app for a few years, and it was fine, but its functionality was very simple: You either put a $ off or a % off, and that's it. There was also nothing to get customers' attention, showing them an item was on sale. We decided to give Selly a try instead, and wow, we never knew what we were missing! The folks who built this app seem to have thought of EVERYTHING! You can do simple sales or you can offer one item at a discount when they buy another, or you can bundle items together for one bargain price. You can give customers a special offer when they order a minimum dollar amount or item quantity... Things we'd never even thought of before! Plus, it will place a little sale banner on items that are on sale (if you want it to) on your collection page to attract customers' attention, and even give them a supporting message on the item's screen. All of this is great, but none of it is very helpful if you can't schedule your sale ahead of time... And with Selly, we can! Leading up to Black Friday, we put one item on sale each day for a single day only, like a series of flash sales. Selly can handle that, and we didn't have to go in each day to turn a sale on or off... We can schedule them all at once ahead of time, and they'll pop on and off according to the dates we set. THAT is worth the price of admission, folks. The rest of the bells and whistles are amazing, but that's the real meat and potatoes, right there. Along with having made a great app, the tech support has been outstanding. As I mentioned, we run some programs that can easily interfere with things, so I always have to ask questions ahead of time, test, and then usually find work-arounds. Every time I asked them a question about what I considered a weird scenario, they already had a way to handle it built right into the app. They were even able to tell me how to run an "unadvertised sale," where the sale price doesn't show until an item is added to a cart. That opens a whole new opportunity for us, as we have one vendor who enforces Minimum Advertised Pricing (but allows unadvertised sales). We were never able to do this before. Sorry to go on and on, but we're very excited about this app. We ran a three-day flash sale to test it, and it brought it quite a few orders for items that had been slow movers. Customers emailed to say they loved the banners on the items and the "bundles" we created. Selly is a winner!
We're using the paid version ($9.99) to make use of the front page timer during Black Friday and the holidays. Everything works great and the app is reliable, as we've come to expect from these folks. Four stars were given for reliability and flexibility, but they lost a star for not currently having a way to schedule the features ahead of time. We planned daily sales leading up to Black Friday, and although the sales themselves were set up in advance using Sale All-In-One, the USB countdowns and features cannot be set ahead of time, so I have to go in each morning and add a timer to that day's sale item. This takes time and means that from midnight until I get to the office, there is no timer running to promote the sale - That's a third of the sale day that has no features running. I hope they'll add a start time so we can use this app for future events; otherwise, we'll discontinue using it after the holidays.
When I first tested the app, it didn't work - The price never changed on the item. Support had their tech look at it, and the next day, I tested again. The first test failed, but then the second time, it worked. While that test sale was running, I tested the countdown timer feature. The first time I clicked the tab for that, I got a "cannot load page" error, but then on refresh, it loaded and I was able to very easily get a Black Friday timer showing on the live page. The app looks great on the customer-facing side and having these three features together is a great idea. Currently, though, I'm not 100% sure of its reliability, hence the 3-star review. I hope to be able to run more tests (because sometimes, after all, it might be Shopify that's having an issue) and if they execute as expected, I'll update this review with more stars.
