I originally left a positive review and still appreciate that this is a Hungarian team based in Hungary. The product itself has some strong elements. However, after using it longer, I discovered that bot and crawler scripts are counted as “impressions.” With the current increase in bots, this makes the impression metric essentially meaningless on Shopify, which materially affects how performance is evaluated and how quickly users are charged. I can no longer use this product as a result. Sadly Shopify nor Optimonk have a good solution to the advances in AI. Unfortunately, no practical solution or adjustment has been offered to address this issue, which is disappointing and not quite fair given how important accurate attribution is today. That said, their pop-ups do appear to outperform Klaviyo in terms of engagement and conversion behavior, which is worth noting.

Zipify Pages was once useful, but it’s no longer a relevant or competitive product in 2025. What used to set them apart can now be done faster, cheaper, and more flexibly with Shopify’s own tools or modern AI-driven alternatives. The biggest problem: lock-in. If you build your site on Zipify, there’s no clean way out. They do not provide proper export options, migration tools, or even a partner network to help you transition. That means the minute you want to leave, you’re stuck — either forced to keep paying them or to rebuild everything from scratch at your own expense. We’ve been long-time customers, but after years of investment we discovered the truth: once you downgrade or try to exit, your content is effectively frozen. No edits, no copies, no migration path. You’re trapped. Stay away. This is an outdated, overpriced platform that survives on locking customers in rather than delivering real value. If you’re starting fresh, use Shopify’s native tools or any of the modern alternatives. If you care about owning your content and not being held hostage, do not build on Zipify.

Do everyone a favor take this app down and rebuild it, it is not fit to be put on the shopify app store and is concerning it is allowed to be downloaded by its customers.

We have reviewed the cart page of your store and the products are duplicated because you have an automatic discount, this has nothing to do with our app. The app uses App blocks for themes, this means that we do not leave files inside the templates after uninstall.

We apologize for any confusion. LimeSpot is a recommendation and merchandising tool. While our recommendation boxes appear in your Shopify store’s public-facing interface when you publish them, out-of-the-box, we do not alter the behavior of your cart or other basic website functionality. Given that you had LimeSpot installed for about 7 minutes, there was no time for your team to make any custom modifications that could have caused this issue. LimeSpot did not cause the glitch with your cart plus/minus buttons. However, we would like to help you to use LimeSpot. Having said that, when we saw this message, we immediately checked your shop, but we weren't able to reproduce this issue, as the cart page displayed without any issues. Also, we tried calling you, we sent you an email, but we never received a reply from you. Hi, we are 100% sure that this is a misunderstanding, as our app doesn't even operate within the cart. Aside from displaying the widget on the product page, our app doesn't perform any other functions in the online store. The discounts are native and are managed directly by the Shopify platform. I used this app to communicate with customers better. I really like how it does auto-hello messages. It would be nice if it did more features in the free version.
Derek was awesome in helping explain the app. We will most likely install but as we grow there are some limitations that will make it obsolete and cumbersome for us.
