I would not recommend BayEngage by TargetBay. This has been one of the worst experiences I have had with an app from the Shopify App Store. In my experience, the app did not work properly, and the customer service was extremely difficult to deal with. I worked with Vin, Macedonius, Pon, and other team members and repeatedly felt that promises were made but not properly followed through on. The platform is also far too expensive for what it delivers. There are many better, more reliable, and more affordable email and SMS marketing apps available for Shopify merchants. I truly regret choosing this app. I wish I had stayed with my previous provider or taken more time to find another option. Using BayEngage was one of the worst business decisions I have made for my store.

After 10 years in the e-commerce industry, we’ve worked with a number of email marketing platforms over the years — from Mailchimp to Omnisend, then Klaviyo, and now BayEngage. Out of all the platforms we’ve used, BayEngage has by far been the most intuitive and user-friendly, while also being far more economical for the features and support provided. However, the BayEngage team supported us every step of the way, making the transition seamless and effortless. Having worked with countless apps, agencies, and external partners over the past decade, we can confidently say that Ron’s level of customer service has gone above and beyond anything we’ve experienced before. We couldn’t recommend BayEngage more highly — not only for the performance and ease of use of the product itself, but also for the outstanding customer support that comes with it. We’ve now also migrated our Customer Reviews and Rewards program to BayRewards, another product offered by the same company, and have been equally impressed with the experience so far.

Before working with BayEngage, our biggest challenge was managing consistent, high-performing email campaigns without spending hours every week designing, segmenting, and testing. We needed a tool that could automate more of the process while still giving us strong visuals and personalization. We chose BayEngage because of its simple setup, affordable pricing, and deep Shopify integration. Since switching, our open and click-through rates have noticeably improved, and the pre-built automations have saved our team a ton of time. Outstanding customer service! We switched from Klayvio, paying $1200-$1800 per month, and we are now paying less than $500 per month. TargetBay merged everything over from Klayvio, all of our Flows, all of our Segments, our Lists, and even our Templates. The transition was seamless. We are getting better open rates, making more in sales, and saving money. Kudos to TargetBay's team!

BayEngage has impressed me in multiple ways. I've used multiple ESP's and BayEngage is by far the easiest to use and the best on the market. It's fairly priced as well. The cherry on top is their support. All of my requests are answered almost instantaneously and any technical changes usually take less than 24 hours.

Switching from Klaviyo to BayEngage was smooth with onboarding help from their team - Danielle was especially helpful and knowledgable! We are seeing better open rates than with Klaviyo using the same mailing lists and the price is cheaper per month. We haven't lost any functionality that we were using in Klaviyo and tehe transition was seamless.

I've used everuy email provider from mailchimp to klavio during my fifteen years in business and in my opinion BeyEngage is the best value and the most solid product on the market today. Their support team is great and I love the product. Good luck to all

We recently switched to TargetBay from another provider, and instantly saved 3-figures on our monthly plan. Quickly learned that our previous provider had us on a shared server with thousands of other clients, which seriously damaged our sender reputation. TargetBay placed us on a dedicated IP, and upon our first campaign, we experienced almost a 50% open percentage right out of the gate -- something we have never come anywhere close to in the past!

BayEngage has been incredibly helpful in mass marketing to our customers. They have functions for automated emails, some customer activity tracking, SMS options, and more depending on what you're looking for. Ron has been a very useful asset in helping us figure out any issues that we have and provide some suggestions on automations we could set up, and assisting on how to set them up if we need help.

We've been using Target Bay for a couple of months already. The whole team has been really helpful and reply really fast to all our concerns. I would give them 5 stars right away if it wasn't for some issue we had to work on. Overall it has been a great app and it's working fine. Thanks to Ron for being so helpful and responsive! He is great!

We moved to Shopify and were sent to another company by our developer. We were using both Bay Engage and Target Bay. Wish we had never left. Glad to say we are back to this team that actually cares about their customers. They know what they are doing and the results are better.

I wish I can give a zero-star review for their product and service. I installed the trial version, and then immediately upgraded to the $10 version to try out their service. The emails never worked. So I uninstalled soon after, and I reported this to the customer service, and they said they would do a refund. No refund, no service!! Stay away from this app.

We recently upgraded our services with targetbay to include their marketing and rewards program, and the cross integration has been a game changer. The transfer over from our last rewards program was seamless, and the customer service is attentive and incredibly helpful. Ron is sure to walk me through any questions I have and helps attend to any issues I've come across.

Service is always good, a lot of functionality for far lower price than other email co's. Ron is always there to help me as my dedicated account rep, always recommends new functionalities and ideas.

Bay Engage is an intuitive, easy to use system that makes creating campaigns super easy! Customer support from Danielle is a 10 out of 10! In addition, the team at Target Bay is very proactive and made sure my email deliverability is in prepared for ever evolving terms and from major platforms like google and yahoo. Big thanks to the entire team at Bay Engage!

Target Bay was straightforward to get set up. We were coming from Klaviyo, which needed to be faster when trying to set up emails. Klaviyo also charged a significant amount to have all of the emails set up. With Target Bay, they set everything up for free and walked us through how to use everything and verify the content was good. Ron has been very helpful reaching out to us regularly and giving great advice on how to increase conversions.

Great experience. Saving a ton of money. Dont be fooled by the high presure companies.

The customer service is incredible. I have a dedicated person whom I can email or call anytime I have questions or need advice about how to use the app. So much better than the other app I was previously using.

Ever since we moved from another email/sms platform over to BayEngage, it has been a breath of fresh air. We have received great service and if there are ever any questions/concerns, the team gets back to us faster than I even expect. I'm even saving on the cost from what I was paying another platform before coming over to BayEngage. Highly, highly recommend using them!

We contracted with BayEngage and TargetBay several months ago, replacing Klaviyo and our reviews app. We are SO pleased with the quality of the apps and even more importantly, the number of reviews that are being completed has quadrupled since we moved to them. Ron is our customer service rep and he is 100% responsive, answers my questions almost immediately, and has even worked on some custom responses to our needs. I highly recommend them!

I have been working with TargetBay for several months now, with email and sms campaigns, as well as retargeting and other elements, and the results have been considerably been better than the other 2 companies I worked with. They have also corrected a product feed issue, which was something beyond me and not even part of their scope of work....their review platform is the best as well, that has been a superb addition to our marketing. Finally, Danielle has greatly helped the email campaigns, by tweeking my templates and adding elements, that I would have never thought of. She is very creative and often completes work in less than 24 hours!

I love this app! I love the versatility and flexibility. As a graphic and web designer I want the freedom to implement my own ideas and designs and this app gives me all the options I need. So far so good. We just started using Bayengage and the help to get it up and running as been great! Having an account manager is very helpful to me and I look forward to the extension of great service for our customers as well since we switched!

The best part about using BayEngage is the incredible support that we've received from Pon, Bala, KJ and the rest of the team. I feel as though they are deeply invested in the success of our business and respond to our questions/concerns extremely quickly and with great care.

It's a pretty slick looking setup and the features are nice, but I kept running into glitches and nobody responded to my requests for help. Javascript problems, test emails failing to show up, and no help from Bayengage except for a bot. Not sure what happened, but not a good experience at all in the end. I uninstalled it and went with Constant Contact.

We have recently made the switch to TargetBay, the support team has been very responsive, staying on top of any issues that arise. A++

We receive a lot of help from the Targetbay team to get high quality emails from our business to our customers. A perfect, personalized touch to get the strongest results using templates and communicating how it all works. Helen is incredibly helpful and produces content better than I could do on my own. Her service is top of the line.

I have been using this app since the Fall of 2021. In addition to the features, which are great, I especially value the excellent customer support which is always, timely, accurate and courteous.

The personalized service and organization are unbelievable. I have a one on one account rep who helps with ideas - or even greats ideas that are on brand to ensure I'm using their service and getting the most out of it. She's prompt, sends reminders, is accurate 99% of the time and a time saver. The company is nice and personalable and easy to work with too. Fair pricing and more affordable than the other solutions I was piecing together with other services and in house staff - and this gets done on time! That was tough to do before. Email marketing always took a back seat for our small business and it shouldn't. The numbers show it's worth investing in this service - and their reporting is clear. RECOMMENDED!

Great App. We onboarded several months ago and the support team is excellent. They are continually adding new features for SMS and EMAIL campaigns PLUS the owner of the company called me personally and asked "my thoughts" on anything they could do to improve. I was pleasantly surprised. :)

The BayEngage application and staff have both greatly improved our e-mail marketing program. The templates are eye-catching, professional, and highly customizable. BayEngage allows us upload and segment our customer databases, whether they come from Shopify or elsewhere. This allows us to have a single place to update our subscriber list and create tailored e-mail campaigns for certain groups of customers. The BayEngage staff has always been helpful in keeping our e-mail program as efficient as possible. They are US-based, easy to reach, and have been responsive to any requests we have submitted. There are many other BayEngage tools we hope to explore in the future, and would like to thank Pon, Danielle & the BayEngage staff for the success we have had with their program!

I have used Klaviyo and Mailchimp in the past, but switched to TargetBay and have never been happier. Very easy to use and integrate with my Shopify store and the customer service has been second to none.

I'm not sure why this app has 5 stars. I asked for help and they basically told me to upgrade for a better experience. Emails are not delivered immediately (I had to contact customer service each time and they manually pushed them through on their end). You can't even see your click/open rate without upgrading. I was hopeful but I'm truly disappointed. The search continues!

Everyone is very helpful with showing you how to use their system. It is very easy to use and fast! Really enjoy BayEngage.

This email marketing app is user-friendly and intuitive unlike most email apps. You can copy and edit directly from an existing campaign and send emails on the fly. The tech support and customer support is the best in the industry very professional and easy to get in touch with. 5+++++

Hi have used Bay Engage and Target Bay for a few years now and have had no issues. The messages are super easy to create and schedule. I like the tracking and reporting the best as I get a true picture of how my messages are performing. I would highly recommend using them.

The best! We have had tremendous success using BayEngage. It is a very robust platform that continues to grow with us. This app lets us get extremely detailed with our emails, and includes features like A|B testing, which is valuable for our market research. The support staff is also great and really made the onboarding process painless!
