Good support, helpful and useful. However, there could be some improvements on the application side.
The app is very performing and the support is fast (almost never needed, but the only once I needed it was super fast with a solution). Update... lately there are issues and I have to point them out by email to the support. I would like they would be fixed before I noticed them after days... :(
Since yesterday a new UX which is horrible. How can this be an upgrade. Also, still no A.I feature to write better ALTs... this app has not improved in the passed years.. I think its time for us to moe on to another app.... pity..
Used to really like this app but the new UI design is...not good. First of all, you have to click on your pics to view any details; the old version had a popup that was quick and simple. This one is way worse. The largest change is you can no longer force compression to start now. [FIXED] You have to wait for scheduling/automation. I have found the automation in Crush to be 50/50 at times. Sometimes it takes forever to kick in. Very unhappy with this update. [Update] I've increased the rating (I was unduly harsh) and have been contacted by the company in regards to the changes. There are several fixes in the pipeline, including returning some of the missing UI elements. It's still not as good as the old UI, IMO, but they are open to feedback. I do have to say that the new version >is< faster, a welcome change. Manual compression has returned, although I haven't had to use it, so positive steps there.
Best image optimizer for Shopify. Not only does the app work great, but the support is also fantastic. Very reliable team.
The pro plan works extremely well if you are looking to compress lots of images. It runs smoothly and even when you need to turn off a device, the app will still compress images in the background. Definitely would recommend!

I subscribed to the €9.99 plan of Crush.pics to reduce the size of the images on my store and improve performance. Unfortunately, my initial experience was extremely negative. After letting the app process my images for an entire afternoon, I discovered that some images were completely deleted from my store. This caused serious damage to my shop’s appearance and professionalism, especially considering that potential customers could have been visiting and trying to make purchases at that time. An online store without proper product images immediately loses credibility. On top of that, several images that were not deleted ended up being visibly damaged. The compression was too aggressive, resulting in a clear loss of quality and details, which is the opposite of what you expect from a professional image optimization tool. What made the situation even more frustrating at first was the lack of immediate customer support. There is no live chat or direct way to quickly contact someone, and the only option was filling out a form. However, I would like to update this review after being contacted by Tom. He apologized sincerely for the inconvenience and immediately refunded the fee I had paid. I truly appreciated his gesture and the way he handled the situation. It shows that the team does care about their customers and takes responsibility when something goes wrong. Even though the technical issue caused serious problems to my store, I value the professionalism and support I received afterward. For this reason, I appreciate the effort made by Tom and the support team to fix the situation and compensate for the inconvenience.
The functionality is easy to get started with and you understand what needs to be done.
Crush Pics is super easy to set up and provides a simple solution for quickly compressing images and optimising file names for SEO. I had over 4,000 images in my Shopify store, with many being large files sizes which was slowing down my website speed. Crush Pics compressed 1.7 GB down to 1.3GB, reducing my image sizes by an average of 24%. Hopefully this will help to boost my SEO over the coming weeks.
Super easy to use and did a great job crushing the larger files on my site, moving my my lighthouse performance from 64 to 90.

worked great when we first started using it, then it quit working multiple times. They were quick to address the issues. We have since stopped using the app tho as we have created our own in house solution for this.

We've been using CrushPics for six years now and received nothing but great support and reliable compression which has kept our site a fast upload plus SEO friendly image re-titling and alt text. We found Crush.pcs app Is very easy to use and automate setup, Has great customer support, Works great at compression, Works great with SEO file renaming, and Has very fast queuing->image compression after posting (no waiting).
I can't say enough good things about this app! We turned to it after Shopify's image creation restrictions severely hindered our business operations. We faced issues uploading product images, retailer images, updating email visuals, and even modifying theme images. This app has been a lifesaver by reducing all our image sizes. I highly recommend it to all retailers and brands. Shopify offered little assistance and simply suggested upgrading our account for double the cost, which would result in losing our markets. The image policy limits were never communicated when we signed up for basic plans or that retailer images would count against our image quota. Update We used to love this app—especially when we were trying to control image sizes after Shopify quietly stopped importing product images due to hidden limits. But now, we’re constantly bumping up against plan limits, and without manual intervention, the app just stalls for days. We’ve had to upgrade or reset the plan every 2–3 days just to keep things moving. At this point, it’s more hassle than it’s worth. We’re switching to an app with unlimited image support—this one just doesn’t scale.
Crush is a great app. I optimise my photos before uploading, but crush still managed to crush the photos with no visible loss of quality. Their customer services is brilliant. There was a technical issue where my quota was used on images that weren't live on my site and Dom was amazing. Quick response, explained what had happened and credited the subscription immediately. Highly recommended.
I love this app. Very simple to use, and overnight my entire store was optimized. I have so many products, I couldn't have done this myself. I recommend this app! Customer service is A+.
