Customily Product Personalizer

Such a great app - it's constantly being updated with really cool tools that just make being able to make more creative things possible and the support is always amazing. Best app for my shopify store bar none.

I am in the process of setting up my first online store, where I will sell exclusively personalized products. One of my biggest concerns about the success of my business was the fear that I wouldn’t be able to convince my future customers of the difference between, for example, purchasing a product printed with one of their own photos and a run-of-the-mill product with a pre-set text or vector image. That is, until I came across Customily. I now no longer have any doubts about convincing customers to buy my products when they can see their photo or text on the product in real time. After spending a few days unsuccessfully trying to use Customily without any guidance, I decided to accept the offer of one-on-one help via Zoom calls. That was the solution! Personalized help that taught me how to personalize products with Customily step by step and provided practical answers to all my questions. Now I’m pretty confident using at least the basic Customily tools. When I need help now, I contact the customer service reps, who answer all my questions just as practically. I’m absolutely convinced of Customily’s value and 100 percent certain that its personalization tools will be the key to my online store’s success. If you’re serious about personalized products, Customily is worth it. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Customily—both the app itself and the team behind it. The level of customization this platform makes possible is incredible. You can build sophisticated personalized products, connect with external APIs, generate custom imagery, control what customers see versus what they ultimately receive, and fine-tune so many small details that I honestly didn’t even realize were possible when I started. What impresses me just as much as the technology, though, is the support. Brian, the head of the support team, recently helped me with a particularly complicated setup and went completely above and beyond. He didn’t just send me a generic help article or point me in the right direction. He took the time to understand exactly what I was trying to accomplish, worked through the problem with me, found a solution, and even created a video walking me through the process so I could understand how to do it myself in the future. And this hasn’t been a one-time experience. On a previous issue involving a more complicated technical/code-related change, I was able to securely grant their team access to my Shopify store, and they actually went in and did it for me. They didn’t leave me trying to decipher code or figure out a technical problem that was beyond what I knew how to do—they took ownership of it and got it done. That level of support is incredibly rare. Customily also has extensive documentation and learning resources, which makes a huge difference when you’re building something more advanced. The entire platform feels like it was created by people who genuinely understand the little details involved in selling personalized products. There are so many thoughtful capabilities built into it that you only begin to appreciate once you start creating more sophisticated products. There may be cheaper or simpler apps out there, but if personalization is an important part of your business and you want the flexibility to create things that go beyond the ordinary, Customily is absolutely worth the investment. More importantly, you’re working with a team that is responsive, knowledgeable, reliable, and genuinely invested in helping you make your idea work. When I choose software for my business, I’m not only looking at features. I want to know that the company behind it will actually be there when something goes wrong or when I’m trying to accomplish something complicated. Customily has demonstrated that to me more than once. It doesn’t feel like just another Shopify app—it feels like having a technology partner behind your business. Fantastic platform. I’ve never used an app that has such easy access to get the help and support you need from a team like customily app. Maximiliano and Jose would reply to my emails and walked me through creating the back end of my project. It took a while for me to get it but we’d meet constantly over zoom until I did. The customer service makes everything more worthwhile.

Working with Jose and the Customily team has been great. Communication has always been spot on, but what I probably appreciate the most is the support. We’ve had a few unique situations with some of the products we’ve worked on, and instead of just telling us what the software can or can’t do, their team actually helps us figure out a solution. That’s a big deal for me. The product itself can handle a lot, especially when you’re dealing with more complex personalization. But having the team there to help you actually get the personalizer set up the way you need it is what really separates them. Customily is definitely going to be my go-to for product personalization moving forward, whether it’s for something I’m working on directly or for one of my agency clients.

I’ve been working with Customily and have had a really positive experience with their support team. The one-to-one calls and guided walkthroughs have been a real advantage, especially when getting started. In particular, Jose has been incredibly helpful throughout and continues to provide excellent support whenever needed. The front end looks professional and user friendly, and once you get familiar with how the software works, it’s possible to create some highly interactive and engaging personalisation templates that are easy for customers to use. The only area I feel could be improved is the introductory video content. I found some of the tutorials a little difficult to follow due to a noticeable lag between the presenter speaking and the on-screen actions. I think re-recording these videos with a slightly slower pace would make the onboarding process much clearer for new users.

I was getting pretty frustrated and couldn’t figure a function out, so I reached out, and Julieta Scarpinon helped me. She was patient with me, and even after she fixed the issue, I asked her to hang around for a few minutes so I could try it myself and make sure I understood. She stayed just in case I had any questions. She’s exactly what customer service should be thank you so much! Others should learn from her example.

The app was exactly what we were looking for. It took some time for our setup due to some complexities on our end, but the onboarding support was excellent. Support has been very responsive and helpful as well. The app is robust and can account for many use cases. Highly recommend!

App has a bit of a learning curve, but support has been really helpful getting launched, especially Florencia Diaz! I lucked out in the live chat with her as my agent cause she made everything super clear and even set up a few steps so I could see how everything should be connected. Tried it for 2 weeks, wasted a lot of time. Hard to learn, clunky at best. Pus 20 minutes to render a file, does not work if you are doing 20 + orders per day.

Updating review as the support has been very helpful in resolving issues found during setup. The app is a really great concept and the products look great. Just think, you can basically customize any product you can image in almost any way and for antipode.com this involves our users being able to print maps and/or even their own town, city or home on a phone case, poster, deskmap or pretty much anything else they can imagine. The app does involve investing some time to learn the ins and outs but this is the same as shopify itself if you want to lunch a great store. If you have any support issues that are not getting resolved then ask for Brian specifically and he will get it fixed.

Customily is really THE tool to use when you are not an engineer and want to make your work efficient. On top of that, the suppert of Florencia, Ngoc and Jose (and also Brian and others) is really awesome. I don't feel like using a ghost tool with no people behind and this is why it makes it so comfortable and efficient at the same time. I strongly can recommend it to other users!!

I have been using this app for approximately four months. It is a very powerful tool, particularly for users who are willing to invest a significant amount of time learning its capabilities. However, the application is not very intuitive. The interface feels clunky and poorly designed, with many tools feeling disconnected from one another. Additionally, the designer experience is especially frustrating. Overall, the app would greatly benefit from a comprehensive overhaul to improve usability, cohesion, and ease of use.

I recently changed theme and couldn't get customily to intergrate correctly. Oriana over e-mail fixed the issue quickly and now my new site is up and running. Very happy with their customer service and always have been.

Once again, Jose took the time to help me with some edits to the app so we can get our site launched. He is great to work with, very patient and knowledgeable. Highly recommend him.

The app itself is still a bit convoluted, not the friendliest UX/UI. However, we've received amazing support from Jose Rodriguez. He has spent a lot of time with us in product creating and has gone above and beyond in suggesting us a scalable setup.

I've been using Customily for more than a year now in two different stores. It's a solid product and helps us get sales from customers once they have seen a preview of what their personalisation will look like on the product, These customers otherwise wouldn't have ordered from us. We've had issues where we needed support from Customily and they were able to resolve these issues for us - my recommendation for Customily team is to add more support members so the resolution is even faster but I think that will happen naturally over time. In my dealings with their support team, I could see they take high level of accountability in their work and thats always reassuring if the app is critical to your business. Thanks Customily.

It's very difficult to use. The instructions and videos only provide a brief overview, but the relationship between each function is not clearly explained, and there's no step-by-step guide.

Terrible experience for 10 months now. The customer care and technical help department send ai emails that are repetitive saying the same thing, "Looks like you haven't responded, we are closing the ticket now." Meanwhile I am flooding their emails demanding help or a full refund as the service was never used and not functional for 11 months. Worse experience of all millions of apps out there on the platforms.$50 x 11 of which they can confirm it is not functional nor has been used? The company's CEO must have been a car salesman through college.

This is a fantastic app with tons of customization options, though it does come with a steep learning curve. What really makes the difference is the support team, they’re patient and helpful every step of the way. I especially want to thank Flor (Florencia), who went above and beyond. She instantly solved a mockup issue that other reps had to escalate, and even took extra time after our chat to fix a complex design logic problem and follow up with me by email. I CAN'T BEGIN TO SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE LEVEL OF CUSTOMER CARE. Customily has a huge learning curve but so far, even if takes some time, I've been able to build out my customization the way I want it. Even as new features and ideas appear, slowly we are getting my products to where I want them to be. Certain customer care people stand out like Oriana, Julieta and Jhofre when I first started. But to date, I am most elated with the care from Florencia! Learning and moving thru the obstacles of the last year have been rough but in the end, I'm seeing where my store is getting to where I want it to be. While it was a collective effort, I would like to publicly comment Flor even so much as changing my previous review to commend her for excellent customer care. Let the sales begin!

The onboarding interview turned into a very informative private lesson in how I can offer product designs, with two choices between 24 options each, culminating in 576 possible cpmbination variations from one set of artwork. A gamechanger! Loving the potential!

Customily is a fantastic tool for customizing products on Shopify. It does take some getting used to at first, but every issue I ran into was easily solved thanks to their countless help videos, tutorials, and the very thorough help section on their website. Once you get the hang of it, the platform really shines and adds a ton of value to your store. Highly recommend!

Cecilia and Flor helped me today and they are both also absolutely amazing to work with! Very familiar with the app inside out and fast to troubleshoot. Celia is good at teaching to how to "fish" besides giving me "fishes". Flor is very organized and provided me with great advice to keep my files in the workflow organized.
