Reliable app, does the job

***Update - This app was not the issue. The issue is with the new Shopify theme's not allowing Legacy option which is required by these apps. Looks like Shopify is going in the direction to fully integrate this feature across all themes at some point. For now, Google and Apple log in is available with New Customer Account setting in SOME regions. I guess we wait for that. I give this app 5 stars as it is a good app from the demo I viewed and wanted to install. This appears to be the best Social log in app on Shopify, but sadly, even after successfully installing the app with Savor theme, there are bugs. The account sign up / sign in page does not show selected social log in options, and when I try to edit account log in page with theme editor, it says: This page is not compatible with the editor due to one of the following issues: Page is redirecting to an unsupported URL Page failed to load due to an error I am working Shopify support to see if it is anything on Shopify end, and I have reached out to Devcloud support. I will report back with how that all goes.

The app was easy. The approval part for Google was a bit difficult. Make sure to check the box to use the official branding of google for the button you place on your store. The conversion from password accounts to google accounts is a bit kludgey. You need to know your store password to attach the account to your Google or Facebook account. this is probably a good safety feature so that someone doesn't take over your account, but since the email is used and authenticated by Google or Facebook, the Google or Facebook authentication is stronger than your store password. If someone created an account with your email address, then pressing forgot password allows you to change it, so is this step really necessary? When switching from store password to Google or Facebook auth the store password is meaningless and isn't really necessary. Also the time it takes to show up on the page is a bit slow. It would be better to show up immediately but greyed out until the buttons are ready, so that you know they are an option before you type in your password. Overall this was an easy application to add and set up. It works great so 5 stars.

Fantastic app, auto installed in seconds without a hiccup. I responded to a follow up email from the app developer stating I was happy with the app but the social icons loaded a little slowly. Update 23/9 --------------- Developer has made some amazing changes. Both to the code and to the way it is delivered (Hosted). The speed is now not only much faster than before (orders of magnitude) it is not almost imperceptible as far as speed goes. The slowest part is the DNS lookup which is one time thing for all new visitors to your site. It all App devleopers could deliver their apps with code this efficient on backend infrastructure this speedy - we would all be able to use many apps without hurting our page speed and google seo. Well done team! Update 20/9 --------------- Still working with developer. Have been some speed increase, though main issue is that the code is loaded and called with every page load as opposed to just on checkout or login pages. Developer is attentive and hope this is optimised soon. Legacy Review ------------------ Works well and have used for a while. Problem is they aren't scaling with their own customers growth. The CDN that they use is sucky and very slow in APAC. They really need to deploy a better CDN and spend more on their hosting as their app seriously slows down your site which affects your google rankings. Right now a connection to their service on a page load results in a 1.5 second TCP wait followed by a 400ms transmision time for a tiny amount of code. That is basically a 2 second penalty added to every page view! When you need to keep your total page load times with all the various apps and images under 3 seconds total, this is just not on. Please lift your backend infrastructure game. Use CloudFront or Akamai. Please.

I've been using this app for quite awhile now. I love that my customers don't have to create another account which means another password to remember. Customer support has been terrific.

great app - easy to use and easy to install however due to how certain social apps work for example if the customer use instagram to login it creates a fake email - which is only an issue for auto notifications of order processing

clean app, the basic price gets a lot of what you want done, the add on pricing is for increased email features mostly and analytics for the next tier.

This app does the job and is easy to implement. We're using it on 3 Shopify Plus stores. Currently, implementing it on a 4th store we're working on. Juan is a pleasure to deal with. He goes out and beyond to make sure everything is working 100%. That includes certain special requests. Lastly, very cost-effective compared to other apps available.

Allowing our customers to login via social apps is the icing on the cake for our business.

The only social login app that offered the networks we were looking for as well as custom CSS. Support was not as quick as other apps, but helpful nonetheless.

It enables users to log in easily and quickly thus reducing the amount of customers oping to not sign up.

Works great! I figure the less work our customers have to do the better. It would be great if you could note the completed checkout rate from the start of using this software and the follow on at day 30 as this may reduce cart abandonment.
