Have had the best 11/10 experience. We had quite the undertaking in switching programs. Handled. Setting up programs in a new way entirely? Handled. All technical issues? Handled. Pay outs? Handled. Literally everything handled. With a smile. Arjun is the literal best. The whole team? All smiles. Always helping. Mega flexible. Not left on read. Software itself?? So good I don't have anything to say lol. It works. :) Worth it. Lots of interesting deep tech things they're doing, way deeper than thought. Worth it.
Katie and her team at Social Snowball have been great. Onboarding was smooth and the app is easy to use. We do have some trouble finding high quality affiliates, but are excited for the new merchant experience launching soon.

The product itself would earn 4 stars from us. Onboarding was smooth, our account manager was helpful throughout, and the app is easy to set up and run. Two things to know before installing. First, affiliate marketing attracts fraud, and this app has no real playbook for it. We dealt with more scammers and bad-faith users than genuine customers who wanted to share the brand. Overseas coupon abusers, people gaming referral links, a major uptick in stolen credit cards being used to get referral sales for commission, and constant backend cleanup. We eventually figured out how to limit it ourselves to some degree, but the tooling and guidance were thin, and after running the numbers, the program cost us more than it brought in. That is partly the nature of affiliate marketing, and don't blame SS at all, but go in with eyes open. Second, and this is why the review is 2 stars: the offboarding process. When you uninstall, Social Snowball permanently deletes ALL of your data within 24 hours. Every affiliate record, every commission balance, everything. While I understand there is compliance requirements with Shopify, there is no warning during uninstall. No pop-up, no banner, no dedicated email, no option to export your data first. Zero effort in helping avoid this problem or helping your customers. Due to shipping times, we pay affiliates after orders are delivered (around 30 days for us), so we canceled expecting to log in and send final payments like any normal app billing cycle wind-down. Instead, everything was gone. We now cannot tell who we owe or how much. There is no process native to Shopify to track which affiliate is tied to what discount code. Support from both platforms confirmed there is no recovery and no workaround and Social Snowball did not take the issue very seriously. Absolutely feels like the second we unsubscribed, we were a nuisance and just annoying them with pretty basic requests, trying to simply pay our affiliates. If you ever plan to leave, export everything and pay every affiliate to zero BEFORE you uninstall. Nobody will warn you, so this review is the warning.

They genuinely listen to our needs and even share feature requests with their team for future improvements. Making the switch from Impact to Social Snowball has been life-changing. Nothing but an amazing experience so far!

Great app to build out a tiered influencer program and track data across sales and social media. Since using it it's made my job easier and processes more efficient with all the integrations it has available.

We are very happy to be working with and using the Social Snowball platform for our affiliate and influencer program. It has helped us scale our program by allowing us to create separate tiers based on each affiliates level of following, engagement, and sales. The creator search tool integration with Meta allows us to easily communicate and discover relevant influencers, and we know that our data is accurate with safelinks, which prevents coupon code arbitrage. Brittany has been great to work with and is always very responsive and helpful with all of our needs. Thank you!
Social Snowball has been great for us in creating our content creator community called "Calling Dogs". Their support has been really great too, and we're glad we made the decision to work with them.
Working within our industry is never easy, but Social Snowball has made our affiliate platform as easy as possible to work within! The team is super responsive, always sharing best practices and insights, and is always open to constructive feedback. I highly recommend them!
Avoid this app, as there is a very good chance that it will not work smoothly. I had problems getting access to search for creators. They said that other customers had similar problems, and they offered a secondary service that they were building as a work around. I said I would consider it, and needed more information. I even scheduled a demo with them to review it. But, that was not good enough for their management. They tried to force me to use this other solution rather than the one I evaluated and paid to have. I could not understand this and asked them to address this differently. Instead, they told me to go away. And, they would not give me a refund as it was my problem that I was not a good fit for them, since they tried to help me with this work around solution -- which, by the way, did not have all of the features and benefits of the product I had purchased. So, I wasted a month of my time, did not get what I paid for, then got told to go fly a kite when it came to the money we had spent -- not to mention our time. Very terrible treatment of customers. And, if you are wondering if this is as I describe, I assure you that it is. I have all the receipts - in the form of screen captured messages from them and their management. Happy to share to keep others from experiencing what we experienced.

Hey Dean, thanks for the feedback, and we were also disappointed that your brand wasn't able to be business verified on META. There is a requirement to be META business verified to use Social Snowball's creator search product feature and it usually takes around 2 weeks to be approved (We have had over 3 brands be approved for this verification process in the last month). Our team also shared workarounds and alternatives for this feature with you but we weren't able to implement them collaborating together, these solutions have scaled many similar start up brands where they have seen success using Social Snowball, and we have also refunded your invoice on May 5th 2026. Going forward from the sales side, we'll make sure that we ask if brands are business verified on META before demoing creator search.
I've been trying to disable a subscription, and it's impossible. Their terms of service say you can go on the subscription page to turn it off, and that's completely untrue. This is how they get your money.
Great product, actively using this tool for my creator campaigns. Would suggest weekly / monthly webinars to promote actively working strategies and things like this.
Noah and the team have been amazing to work with. Snowball makes working with our affiliate partners simple and streamlined. Even for those who have lesser experience in the field, the team at Snowball help you every step of the way. This is a must have for any DTC brand!
Social Snowball team helped me tremendously. I had used chat AIs to help craft CSS code for me for my sign up and confirmation pages. Nothing worked. I reached out to social snowball customer support team and within an hour I got a response to my first ask, then while I had them I asked for something else and they gave me direction on how to solve that problem. Super efficient responses and responses that solved our business issues. For a small business, this is EXACTLY what we needed! Thank you!
Hands down one of the easiest affiliate platforms I’ve ever used. It’s incredibly intuitive and simple to set up, making it a perfect choice for any D2C brand looking to kickstart their affiliate program at a cost-effective level. What really stands out is how clear and beginner-friendly it is for affiliates, even those who have never participated in an affiliate program before. The onboarding is seamless, the dashboard is straightforward, and the payoff system is super easy to understand and manage. Everything is transparent and clearly communicated on the merchant’s website, which builds trust on both sides. And shout out to the great customer service team! I genuinely believe anyone can master Social Snowball quickly and use it to confidently scale their affiliate program. If you’re a D2C brand looking for a powerful yet simple solution, this is it.

Customer service was fantastic. I am so impressed. We had a very urgent issue before launching a major campaign & their team solved it flawlessly.
A lot of sales will get tagged as an "affiliate referral" when it is not. I have facebook utms on a ton of orders that also got tagged for being from an affiliate.
Honestly it was a good app until we got flooded with scammers abusing the system. We have been threatened multiple times that they will create fake trustpilot reviews and use bots to spam our socials. I reached out to social snowball on assistance and some guidance on how to deal with the scammers, unfortunately they weren't of any help. Very disappointed.

I don’t know where I would be without Tara! She saved my affiliate program which kinda saved my life. For weeks I was struggling to figure out what was wrong with the Payout feature and just couldn’t get it to work. Then Tara stepped in and set everything up properly so that all of the features work and she explained it all in the most thorough way possible. I really appreciate it!! There is a payment wall to check the product. I checked it didn't like it. Got a refund so that's all set. Does it do the job, probably but still thinking it's way overpriced for what you get.

Works well, does what its supposed to, but the funding options in Canada will cost you bank fees each time, and small startups will take a long time to have this pay for itself unless you are already generating significant sales per day or have a team dedicated to influencer hounding and/or are already gaining traction with content creators. I wouldn't suggest using this for new stores with modest budgets. Smaller pricing tier needed.

This platform can be confusing at first but my Rep Zohaib was the most caring and genuine person I could have asked for. It seemed as though he really acres about the product and is going above and beyond of what I am asking to get set up and answer my questions.
Great platform for Affiliate marketing with good segmenting, analytics and process to payment. Support is second to none with ongoing learnings and optimisations. Easiest affiliate marketing software to use and it comes with excellent support. From day 1 they handled everything for us. They have also made multiple new updates since we started using the platform. We highly recommend this app.

We are still in the early stages of fully activating with Social Snowball, and while the experience has been promising overall, there have been some significant challenges. The platform is designed to operate with a hands-off approach once set up, which should eventually save our staff time and allow them to focus on other critical areas of the business. However, the initial setup and integration with Klaviyo have been very time-consuming and complex. We've encountered issues where affiliates don't receive emails because they aren't subscribed, or randomly miss emails that are sent out. Additionally, when we transferred affiliates from another platform, many didn't receive the welcome email, even though flows were in place, leading to confusion and frustration. In addition, working with Snowball's partners, Tremendous and Trolley, has been incredibly frustrating. It felt like we were being given the runaround when trying to gather the necessary information to move forward and no one would connect with us on a phone call. While I am still working through these kinks, I must acknowledge that Mals has been incredibly helpful throughout this process, consistently providing quick and effective communication, which has helped make the setup process smoother.

Snowball is a fantastic idea and very user-friendly. You'll be up on your feet in no time, but if you do need assistance, the support staff is exceptional. Performance of the app will vary by business, but if it fits your model, give it a try for a while and see if you can make things snowball!

We recently switched to Social Snowball for referrals and affiliates and have been really pleased with the service so far! We've had quite a few questions with set up but the customer support from Mals has always been excellent. Any issues we've had have been resolved very quickly :)

It's easy to use, fast to set up and the support team is really good! I would love to have more personalised options in certain pages though, the visual customisation is a bit basic. Also, if affiliates want to track their gains/commissions, they need to sign up to Snowball outside of your website, which I find not ideal.
Their platform is great. Super easy to set up an affiliate program and the platform makes it very easy to activate all types of partners (Creators, customers) Their support team is awesome, very responsive and helps you work through any challenges. Would recommend this to any brand that's looking to scale an affiliate program.
