2022 REVIEW: We collected many thousands of good prospects with this app. A great developer and we'll be looking for what else the app maker offers; on this one, though, we did find another option that gives almost all the same features and integrates better with our Klaviyo account. Please note that I would give this app 5 stars overall, but the last 6 months we were being charged monthly after the developer turned off the application's "live" status to a "draft campaign" during an app refresh. I'm sure they probably emailed us about it saying we needed to take some action to continue using the app with new features...but if so, we never saw it. The $90 in charges over 6 months for an app that wasn't working isn't a big deal...but the 1000 subscribers we should have collected over that time with Wheelio activated kind of is. Discovering that failure on the app's part is the only reason we started looking for a replacement. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We get an additional 2.3 new subscribers for every 100 visitors every day without fail than we got from the same amount of traffic and alternative popups. We're still in the 6 figures of annual traffic but if and when we grow our store to millions of annual visitors that same percentage of extra subscribers will be hugely valuable. As it is now, we're paying about 17 cents to capture a subscriber. That works at ROI and at scale for us. Thanks Wheelio. Oh yeah, the holiday theme defaults absolutely rock. You can see the current Halloween one on CubicZirconia.com right now...if you dare try to leave the website. IDEA: Allow us conversion pirate Wheelio users to "opt in" to a feature via on/off toggle that means I am OKing Wheelio to CHANGE ITSELF during certain dates to match a holiday theme. For example, October 10 through November 2 the Halloween theme is automatically switched to, and February 27 to March 20 the St Patricks Day one etc. The need to change the theme manually is hard to remember for a busy business owner, if you don't yet have a fulltime marketing or IT staff with annual/monthly procedures. 5 stars all the way.
Nothing but great things to say about this app! After using for almost a year it's hard to pick the best feature. The widgets draw attention to the reviews in the best way. The automatic email followup with our customers prompting them to create a review has resulted in a much higher review rate than we had been getting from another company. Love that the price isn't based on the total number of reviews (which can only go up, up, up), but on actual real costs associated with running the app...pay for the features you want. And lastly, their email support is AMAZING. Always answering our questions quickly and even jump in to help with troubleshooting or widget installation when we need it. Thank you!
I'm giving this 5 stars immediately at signup. Why? I get a solid ROI with the developer's other app Wheelio...and I'm hearing that this one works hand-in-glove to make more money for stores that collect email addresses with Wheelio. Let's find out, shall we? UPDATE: Never figured out how to get it to do what was promised. Unfortunate. Suggest developer offers a service to configure for a premium fee, if that is within their bailiwick and interest. I'd have paid it, even before investing 4 hours of time trying to do it myself and failing.
We provide our customers a superior shopping experience and flat-out make more money per visitor because of this simple application. Worth the price. Looking into other apps developed by this developer now, to see if awe can use any.
Never could get it to work. Great idea, but a little buggy. May try again later since no other solution I've gotten (free or paid) has worked properly
We've had this application installed since January 8th of 2015. It is truly fantastic. We were really looking forward to seeing how our customers enjoy the superior shopping experience we can offer them with the Filter Menu application installed, because we simply couldn't imagine this change being anything but a sales-increaser. Well, I can now say that this app's performance on our site not only looks great, but I can also flat-out say our store is making more money because of it. Caveat: We were not able to install or configure the application on our own. We paid for the full installation ($150) versus doing it ourselves (free) or having a basic install ($50) which I think is sufficient for most stores that don't use tags as extensively as we do for products. Through the process, I'd say three of our team had about 45 hours combined in working to come up with the strategy to most effectively use the Filter Menu and other features of PowerToolsSuite, avoid mistakes that could cause our collections to become messy, and to communicate our needs and desires via emails to the app developer. Yes, a few issues came up during the install process, and 90+% of them were dealt with very promptly and to the best of our developer Brad's ability without any request for more money. We expect to be customers of this app for a long time to come. Update February 2017: still happy customers, thanks to Brad and FilterMenu! Yes, there are other pieces to the PowerTools suite of apps but we don't really know how to use them or what they do. However, Filter Menu we do use and it is an integral part of our product merchandising strategy. Love it!
The Product Customizer app saves me so much time and money! Lots of rings we sell comes in the customer's choice of 24 different sizes, plus 5 different material options, plus 13 different center stone shapes, PLUS 9 different center stone sizes! These multiple different options used to mean that every ring spent hundreds of SKUs and without upgrading to a higher level of Shopify, I'd be limited to a very small selection of jewelry. This app allows me to add different product options without the hassle of a 100,000 excel sheet for each product import -- and the saved sets make it a task that takes less than 5 seconds for each product. I love it! That said, my only wish for this product would be that it would allow for different product options input by Product Optimizer to update the cost of the product (like having different variants in Shopify does). Update: February 2017 I had asked for this variant pricing option for a year or more and it looks like the team at Product Customizer added this feature. I'll be using it soon.
After more than a year as a customer, we find out that our account has been deactivated without warning so they could change the pricing model, no longer offering a "pay-per-use" service but requiring a minimum monthly fee of $200 instead. How is it that current blog resources on their live site, advertised pricing information provided through the Shopify app store, and app reviews as recently as 2 weeks ago all still promote this 'no-longer-supported' pricing plan? Albeit we are a very small customer for them (only sending the few orders per quarter that we are pretty confident are fraudulent as a last step before canceling/refunding them)...it's disappointing that we've continued to receive bi-monthly emails from Riskified about their services and industry updates, yet they would fail to mention in any form of communication to us these changes in pricing, and also forget to notify us that we are no longer their customer. How did we find out about the deactivation? Attempted to submit an order for review and found the password has been changed and can't be reset. So they need more money for their services -- we get it. The new pricing plan might even make sense for us after some consideration, but the implementation (account deactivation?!) was poorly thought through and not a good indicator of what we can expect as a customer moving forward. Anybody else experiencing this recently? This is an unexpected bummer.
