After an incredibly challenging attempted transition to a new version of Bold -- the software I was on for the last 6 years), I began looking for a new app for my subscription program focused on training quilters to design their own quilts using a particular piece of software. Without software to manage my billing, I would have needed to shut down my business. AFter my first meeting with PayWhirl, I was cautiously optimistic. I found that PayWhirl has a great display for the product (allowing customers to easily see both regular and prepaid options). It also has all the reporting that I need to manage communications with my customers and delivery of the products. Larry was a dream to work with and did an incredible job of guiding me through the migration from my old software. I was able to transition 400 members effectively in a one week time period. The transition went incredibly well and I am very happy with PayWhirl and the support I have received. My only wish is that I would have found PayWhirl earlier.

We use PayWhirl mainly for our coffee club membership. It gave us an opportunity to add the subscription service at the start of the membership year. One of the features, I liked most is the ability to change monthly coffee based on which product we choose to feature for that month . We will continue to use PayWhirl with our coffee club membership as well as for regular subscription.

We have been using the ap for several years, it works well and we have been happy with it. Today however, I had a special request related to a new theme I am using on Shopify. I was not able to use the standard tools supplied by the theme for showing a sale price and an original price on a one time purchase without changing the % off on the recurring club pricing. I contacted customer service through Chat and I got Sergey which was the best stroke of luck I have had in a long time. Not only was he incredibly fast in understanding the problem he literally took the reigns and wrote special code for me to be able to do what I wanted to do. Perfection! He actually made it look better than I had asked for. This NEVER happens, usually I just figure my day is going to wasted when dealing with merchant customer service on any platform. Not today and not with Sergey. I am completely blown away by how fast he understood the issue and fixed it. And best of all, he is very kind and humble. He also provided a video for me to refer to when I want to change the % off for a different promotion and have to alter the code. This guy is a great employee. Very impressed.

This is an absolutely brilliant app. I tried Recharge to start with, but it seemed expensive and the support was a bit limited, so i moved over to Paywhirl. The support is great, and so quick and the pricing is very sensible. I have used for over 2 years now and have not had any issues.

I have been using PayWhirl for over 3 years (I'm surprised I haven't reviewed it before now) and it really is a superb subscriptions app. They are frequently and consistently adding new features and these are always offered to me via the portal at no extra cost. Above everything, their customer service is extremely responsive and helpful. I received a video recording in response to my latest query which was personalised to me and answered my question quickly and succinctly. This allowed me to easily apply the solution to my store with no further questions. There are few instances where I feel compelled to leave a review, but PayWhirl really deserve their 5 stars from me!

I am a complete novice working with a subscription app and we have had a few things that we have needed tweaking since we started four months ago. But, I have to say, their customer service is top notch. I always get a response pretty quickly. Overall, we've been really happy with the app. My only request at this point is for the app or Shopify to restrict bundling items with subscription items.

Paywhirl is a great app for people wishing to offer subscriptions and, though not it's intended use, I'm finding it great for allowing customers to pay for high-ticket artwork over longer periods of time via monthly payments then I ship out when all payments have been collected. It's been secure and reliable and incredibly helpful for managing what can otherwise be a big admin burden to manage : ) Their support chats and calls are amazing - great communicators and listeners!

Simple to use app that has helped keep my customers returning. Customers find updating their subscription easy and PayWhirl have even designed a cancellation flow (which most organisation try pretend don't exist!). I don't leave many reviews but the team at PayWhirl 100% deserve it. Ryan and Sergei always reply very quickly to support needs and questions. I've suggested multiple features e.g. retention analytics and they always engage. I was SO happy to see retention stats go live in the dashboard recently. They started off behind BOLD and ReCharge but are adding features at a breathtaking rate. And the value for money as a business owner is exceptional compared to how much people complain about competitors. I can't recommend PayWhirl enough. This is one of, if not THE single highest value-add app in our Shopify stack. If you're looking to implement subscriptions for any of your products, go with PayWhirl, you won't regret it.

I opened my first online store in 2005. Over the years I have opened several more; and now have a total of 6. Which is to say, I have an enormous amount of experience with online stores - and various platforms, tools, products, services, and apps. And so it is with some authority that I will share with you this opinion about PayWhirl: It is hands down the best subscription product available. Period. I've tried dozens of them, I currently use 3 of them. I will be converting all of them over to PayWhirl immediately. But there's more. (Shopify) App support is notoriously bad. PayWhirl's support is just remarkable. Send an email you get a reply. Ping them via chat (Intercom) in the app, they reply. Need special love? I needed plenty with my current project - and they hopped on a Zoom call with me 3 times! (Shopify, take note! Your support used to be great. Now? Not so much) Even more bonus points for this team for their companion products Upsell and Glow. The integration of the 3 (subs/tagging + sales funnel automations + customer loyalty program) is super tight. I would and could go on; but then someone would probably think that I am someone at PayWhirl's mother :) lol Try it and see for yourself. I'd give them 6 stars if I could.

Great, straightforward app for product subscriptions. I have a custom theme that made the app tricky to install but within minutes of contacting support the app was fully up and running. I've come back to add to this review as I need to highlight how great the support team are, Sergey in particular has gone above and beyond for us to get things exactly how we want them, really happy with everything! The app is always receiving updated features too which is great.
