We ship from Germany to over 20 countries so we get a lot of different address formats in our checkout. AddressHero flags around 18% of our orders. Mostly typos in the street name or a postal code that doesn't match the city. At four cents per order that math is pretty easy. Best part is that the check happens inside the checkout. The customer fixes it before the order even reaches us + for hard fixes the customer is able to correct it on the thank you page. Support also comes straight from the founders. We had a call with Robin and Moritz the next day on a config question and by the evening we knew what was wrong. If you ship internationally and have ever had an address correction fee on a carrier invoice or a return because of this you know why this is worth it.

We switched to AddressHero after using another address validation app, and the difference has been night and day. The dashboard is clean, the analytics are actually useful, and setup was incredibly easy. We finally have real visibility into address corrections, error rates, and the impact on support tickets. Does help avoid address errors that accidentally may occur. Input errors of street, ZIP or city are effectively corrected and ad so are name errors particularly related to mobile sessions. All in all the app helps to increase speed and correct deliveries.

I had hope for this app but it does not seem to work very well with American addresses. All of the addresses it "automatically" updates still get flagged by Shopify and suggest a different one from what they changed it too. Was fairly disappointed considering all of the good reviews.

Before we got this app we were getting packages sent back to us mostly because the customer had forgotten to add their house number. A feature wish would be to receive a notification when a customers order has been put on hold - perhaps not right away but at a set time after being asked to review.

This results in a high amount of manual effort and increased costs. With the tool, this problem occurs significantly less frequently, there’s hardly any manual effort left, and we save a lot of unnecessary costs. Really great and highly recommendable.
