Great tool for various options for products. Easy and quick installed. Also the help desk is very good: I had technical problems with my theme and they helped me out very quick and professional! I truly recommend it.

This app is worth every penny. We've been using Custom Product Options for about 5 years and could not be more pleased. Every item we make is custom and requires a TON of information. Custom Production Options allows us to offer our customers convenient drop-down boxes, radio buttons, and text inputs where we need them. Custom Product Options does what Shopify doesn't. Problems: 1) It loads unacceptably slowly. I had to do research to find the code to speed it up. This should have been included in the theme. 2) It doesn't have a text entry block. I created a passable workaround using Color Picker without the colors, but it leaves an extra line.

I've been a customer for almost three years now. I had a recent issue due to the Shopify theme I was using and W3 responded quickly , updated my store code, and made sure everything was working. It's fine when it works, but sometimes it will not show anything, and it's a bit stressful not to have that complementary information when needed. But when it works, it's great. A little consistency or help with a human could be a good leap forward.

We decided to use W3 Custom Products for the creation of mechanical assemblies. We are early in the process of migrating to Shopify but so far all of our testing supports W3's documentation . Their support has been fabulous. I've had to reach out 3x and I have received answers quickly. My most recent encounter had to do with a mistake I made and I received all the information I needed to correct my mistake. The application is easy to setup and the imagizer feature was a real win for us. WE are very pleased with the product.

App works well once it's set up and the customer service is excellent. Immediately responsive and always looking to fix the problem.

Been using it for a few years. Also switched to another top selling one and tried that for 6 months. This one is by FAR more intuitive and it updates quickly. The set up is easier in my opinion as well. I will say that I've had install issues every single time I've have to update my Avenue theme (and I'm not making any node adjustments) and the lettering comes in all weird and I have to edit W3's code to make it look better - but W3 showed me how to do it. A free manual install has always been done (which they advertise for Avenue), minus when I ran into one customer service rep who refused to install it and wanted to charge me for it (Jason Beldon). Support Rep Megan Dobarganes is THE BEST! She's an outside of the box thinker and provides amazing support. W3 would dominate the market if they could figure out the edit in cart where it doesn't double what's in the customer's cart. That's the only thing holding them back I think, but I bet they're working on it.

I just installed the app today and had a few minor issues that I couldn't figure out. The tech team held my hand and responded via email immediately with solutions that were easy to follow. We can now offer workshops with variants that have add-on fees, and limit the total class size at the same time. So grateful for the help they provided today! As for the app - so far so good!

I have worked with a number of app developers and I rarely write a review. These folks exceeded my expectations so I had to chime in with a note of thanks. They are real pros and it's a pleasure to work with them.

We have used Custom Product Options for a couple of years now and it has been a fantastic app for our website, I am not great with IT and I can use it with ease and we have recently had an issue ( no fault of Custom Product Options ) but our own team and they very quickly jumped to help and have sorted the issue out, great company and excellent customer service.

GOODBYE PRODUCT VARIANTS!!! CPO allowed me to get rid of product variants - which were causing so many issues for my store. I've had Custom Product Options installed for about a year now. Cannot fault the app or the service provided by the team. There's been numerous times I've called upon the help of the developers for various reasons (never for a fault of the app). They are so quick to respond despite being on the other side of the world to me! And they always nail it first time around! Tired of using Bold Options? So were we. Do yourself a favor and just make the switch. If you were able to figure out how to make Bold do what you want then using this app is going to absolutely floor you with how easy and logical everything is. The integration was a 1 button process. The documentation for this app is absolutely phenomenal, and we were able to make all but two customizations to our site by ourselves without needing programming knowledge. For the remaining two customizations (changing selection border color and altering the functionality of one of the widgets) we opened a support ticket with W3 and they answered both of our questions in plain English, provided copy-paste snippets that solved our problems, and did so within literally minutes of opening for business. We later had an issue that turned out to be a Shopify problem, not a W3 problem, and they were just as professional and eager to help. The only downside to this app is that the customer can't edit options in cart. They told me it's a feature they'd like to see added to the app, but more groundwork would need to be done before such a thing could happen. The drawback is outweighed a hundred times over by the benefits, and my customers are literally reaching out to us with praise over how much better the ordering process is. Thanks W3! Update 10/10/22 We've had to reach out a few times since the initial review to ask how to customize something here and there. Support is always fast, always helpful, very easy to understand. As of now I still recommend them without hesitation!

10-2022 Update - I've been using this app for several years now. The support team was absolutely critical in the migration to a 2.0 theme. We ran into an issue the day of the migration and they went above and beyond to not only fix it but help with our particular requests. Top notch!! Fantastic app! Took our store to the next level. The Custom Product Options app is just what I was looking for. Although it did take quite some time to configure, the end result is perfect. The numerous options with conditional logic and a product image that depicts the options selected will really help us. This app also has excellent support. Responses were very quick and provided clear instructions. I highly recommend Custom Product Options!

I have been using this app now for about a year and it is brilliant. I have an online only store for personalised baby gifts and I am able to tailor the personalisation options to my needs to easily, far better than previous apps I have used. The team is also super responsive and helpful with providing advice. Definitely would recommend.

This app is super easy to use and gives us the means to further personalize items for our customers. It also lets us easily do adjustments across all the items faster than other similar apps I have used in the past. I am especially a fan of the conditional logic! Being able to hide or add other components only when needed keeps the look cleaner when not needed. Whenever I have had issues the customer service team has been quick to reply and help.

This app is not for the light-hearted however once you are able to complete the installation (reach out to customer support and they will be happy to help at least from my experience and somewhat understanding of coding implementation), get comfortable with how the conditional logic system works with your products on Shopify, this app can be worth the price it offers especially with the image customizer feature. Though there are certain features I do wish this app provided which is an ajax shopping cart functionality and the ability to have a type of iFrame window setup or something similar to work with Shopify rather than the need to use a non-Shopify website in order to use the iFrame “Show Popup Window With Info” function within the conditional logic setup. Overall it currently works with what is needed at the moment and one other suggestion I would have for W3trends would be to extend the 7-day free trial to 14 days to allow more time for potential customers to get a feel of the app features. Not an ideal app for apparel. The app requires you to add conditional logic for every product variant so if I have one shirt with 6 sizes and 3 colors I would have to add conditional logic 18 times for just one product. The manual instructions didn't correlate with my theme either. The company did install it within 24 hours though and the video in how to use it is very helpful.

This app has allowed us to create all the complex personalization features for our custom wine box products. The interface is easy to use and well designed. The support team always responds quickly to questions and are overall very helpful.

Exactly what I needed! Megan was helpful and responsive. I needed a little a little change here and there and Megan took care of it. So happy with the result. Update: Extremely satisfied. Upgraded to the 2.0 theme. It was a great time to try 2 other popular product option apps just to make sure I wasn't missing out, only to come back to this one. This one checks all the boxes. Easy to use interface for setting options and conditional logic, an output that will be easily understood by my customers. I opted to pay for customization so that it would show the base cost and itemized option costs and subtotal in a way that fit with my minimalist theme. Within 2 days, Gabby and Jason helped me install and code it to display exactly what I needed. The final result was worth the back and forth.

Customer support is always quick to respond. We having been using custom product options app for 3 years and it works well. Especially being able to add-on products that works with tracking inventory.

This app is everything we need for our online product customization and more. It allows you to create a "form" which is visible on the product page for products that meet the criteria you've set. This app does that wonderfully, and it is highly customize-able. We use this to offer add-ons such as engravings for selected items in our store, and the app takes care of adding the price of the add-on to the cart. The app absolutely excels at that. Another thing we use this app for (which might not be what the app was specifically designed to do, but does well), is to display a "product builder" for one of our collections. In short, we have a collection that was specifically designed to allow customers to mix and match several pendants into a single necklace. Before Custom Product Options, customers were only able to see the final product in our Brick-and-Mortar store but now, we're able to offer them to see the final product in real-time, as well as the final cost of the entire thing. On top of this all, I want to heap praise on one of their service representatives (Hi Jason! ). He was so willing to help with my problem, despite my request being way out-of-scope for their app. He went above and beyond to help me get things right, and I'm very happy with the final result. If you need a robust product option customizer, you don't have to look any further.

Our products have many additional options which add to the shipping weight ( and thus cost) and this app handles that for us well. Another nice feature are the use of logic/conditions that hide or show additional options based off previous selections. Customer support has been top notch as well. Highly recommend.

I'm using this app purely for the text box option. The other variation options are not exactly what I needed for my shop, but I'm sure they'll come in handy. Support was prompt to reply. They also adjusted the app to my theme for no additional fee, despite them not providing this service. I'd recommend this app for those who are looking to add product options.

Highly recommend the Custom Product Options app from W3 Trends. Been using this app for years...without the app we could not offer dog coats to our customers in all the colors and sizes we make. The Custom Product Options also lets us offer other dog coat options. Most importantly, we are able to require customers to provide detailed measurements that allow us to customize the fit of our dog coats to the unique physique of a customer's dog. Being able to duplicate and modify the field groups really saves time. From time to time, unusual situations have come up and I have received timely and helpful support!

Provided really quick help to to re-size image picker images and the app seems to work really well without having to touch code. Other apps I saw did not have so many options, or include the Additional Cost calculator below the item choices, which was essential for me. Thanks for your help

The app is great, the interface is simple and the capabilities match the product description. Literally the best customer service I have ever experienced. This app should have solved all of my problems, but for some reason it wasn't working quite right (it ended up being something in my own code, not anything from the app). These guys spent HOURS trying to track down the issue, and kept me updated the whole time. The app itself is great, but the service can't be beat.

Terrible service, when i ask to fix the problem from the app Changes the price on the product page when an option with an upcharge is selected, changes the item price in the cart to include all upchrage products, and install image customizer. their only answer was to pay 187.5$ to fix it bad service. non-functioning app. DO NOT BUY THIS APP.

This app is really a winner. Despite a UI from the 80s in Russia, it is super flexible and most of all compatible with wholesale portal as the way they handle the cost of the options is unique. That is the reason I am using it. We have more than 400 paintings and 1400 variants. I needed an app to manage the sell of the frame option. Do not know if it can help others but with this app, I created first the master combinations (ex:40x40cm and 100x100cm to cover all scenarios of my catalogue of products, Then I created the 'slave' visual option for each dimension by associating a picture of the 3 different colours of my frames to a hidden product. By doing this, when someone is clicking ont he picture, it is looking at the correct frame dimension and associate cost). Trust me, it is just wonderful and it is the only app that was able to do that without managing a stock or creating virtual variants (that pollute you interface). To make it work, I then created the logics for the master combinaison saying that it must be display on each products page only of the tag XXXxXXXcm is use. In order to automatically add the this tag on the products, I just installed an auto-tag app creating a logic to use the variant name (ie 40x40cm) as a tag...and bing ! everything is automatic. It is still a good day of work to setup everything but trust me, this W3 option app is magic. So why only 4 stars on not 5 ? Simply because the support team just disappeared. They were amazing when I installed the app few months ago but recently I add an issue when we launch our website (critical moment) and the app was not displaying properly on mobile. I had to deactivate it (= loss of $) and after a couple of days without answers, I finally received an email that they will investigate...then no more answers to my 3 follow-up emails. I finally found the issue by myself as I understood the situation with them was hopeless (it was conflict with another app) . At this day, I still waiting for a message from them. I even told them I can told them which kind of app is in conflict so it can help others clients but they seem not interested. I was just hoping more reactivity especially when you GO LIVE and have hundreds of people visiting the website. So just be careful and double check with them first if they are available for your project. If no answer, you better have to find an alternative as you need their support to install (if not basic theme) and to understand the 'soviet' UI :) Hope they will get back on track soon and focus again on this app (indeed, I assume they are busy with new apps they released).

I have used this app on multiple shopify sites! It is super user friendly and if I ever have issues or find bugs, the support from Justin and Meagan is fantastic! Highly recommend!

The customer service is responsive with this app. It's a good thing because you might need it; my Shopify Theme could not use the Automatic Installation. However, Justin installed it manually for me within an hour of my request, and they did answer a plethora of questions I asked before I was able to set it up successfully on a Copy of our site before I reuploaded the Copy to the LIVE area. (By the way, a Shopify tech told me that APPS would not work unless they were on the LIVE site. WRONG! I got better info about Shopify from the folks at W3Trends! Thank you, Justin!) The reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is for two reasons: 1. The dashboard usability could be a bit clearer. Even though there are video tutorials, some actions happening on the screen were not made clear in the narration. 2. You can't use apostrophes in your titles above text boxes. Sometimes, ya just gotta have apostrophes. I had to change my verbiage to comply with the code. I understand, from over 20 years of working with my business parnter (in a separate business), who is a programmer, code can't always handle apostrophes, but there are ways around that. Now we'll see if people will use the function to add a NAME to their purchased products we have to honor nurses, doctors, military, firefighters, and police. Note that within the APP portal, you can use HTML to text you may want to add below your actual text boxes. I added RED and BOLDING to some fonts so people will readily see instructions as to how to give us the Titles and Ranks for NAMES, or just the NAMES they want on their products. Overall, great job, folks! Thank you for all of your patience and help.

I used this app to create complicated price options with conditional logic. It was very easy and intuitive to set up and this App has been able to fulfill every need I have for my store. The support I have received from Justin and Megan has been OUTSTANDING! They respond to my emails very quickly and are very clear with their instructions. I have tried two other Options Apps in Shopify and this one is by far the best and it is affordable.

Really good app, you can group functions by accordions. Great and fast technical assistance. 4 out of 5 stars because to change some things (ex. the color of the accordion bar) you have to modify the code of the theme (it would be better to have this option as a function of the app) but the assistance will help you out with this. With their help I managed to do that even if I don't have any knowledge about coding

Very quick response from the team. I needed a way to show an option was sold out and they created a pop up to say the item was sold out and made it so the item couldn't be added to cart. The app is generally easy to use and great for custom options.

The support is truly horrible. They messed up the install of our theme which led to huge issues in our store. When we reached out for urgent help, they just gave us generic answers. STAY AWAY!

What a great app and the super behind it I must recommend your can never get such detail app for custom made product I have tried many apps but this one is best out of everyone.

After switching from the OPTION APP BY BOLD, I found this APP is a problem solver, I use it as a customizer for my product, and it works great especially the special feature "image customizer", it makes the features visible to my visitors and makes it much easier for our client to customize the products. I did have some issues when using this APP, we must have sent more than 20 emails asking questions. We manufacture expensive products that are customizable so options that require conditional logic are required. It can get pretty complex. We'd been using an app by a big developer but any time changes had to be made to products it was always a clunky hassle. We were also using another developers expensive app as a product builder or visualizer tool but it had many issues on the back end that they couldn't overcome and any support, in general was pretty poor. We put up with it. So, we decided to give Custom Product Options a shot. It's shaping up to be a great replacement for both apps (which will save money). We are really leveraging the image customizer portion of the app. The level of support and responsiveness to questions or technical issues has been outstanding so far. Very impressed! Thank you.
