We've had a really positive experience with ReturnZap. The app has streamlined our returns and exchanges process immensely, making everything much easier to manage for both us and our customers. When I started looking for a returns and exchange app for my store, I quickly realized this was more than a feature-list comparison. Every merchant runs their business differently, and most returns apps ignore that... they force you into one rigid setup and expect you to work around it. I needed something that adapted to my business, not the other way around. As a print-on-demand merchant, finding a Shopify returns app that fit my business model proved to be near impossible. I downloaded and tested more than six different solutions, and not one of them met my needs—until I found ReturnZap. It is the first platform I've found flexible enough to support my specific workflow. Between same-item exchanges, no-return-shipping workflows, bonus store credit, and complete control over the customer-facing portal, I was able to configure ReturnZap to fit my business instead of altering my business to fit the software. Over the past few weeks, I've spent a significant amount of time exploring the app across a wide range of return scenarios, including exchanges, refunds, store credit, and more complex multi-item claims. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into both the product and its workflows. The platform is highly customizable and capable of handling situations that many returns apps simply don't address. I recently switched my brand (West Major) over from Rich Returns (which I was on for 4-5 years) to Return Zap. So far I love it. We had some problems getting it set up (I'm not the most technical guy), they were quick to jump on a zoom call, and work super closely with us to get it rocking. Unlike Rich Returns, the team at Return Zap just seems like they want to help you, work with you, and for you to succeed. The pricing is better than Rich Returns (and the other return apps) and the customer service is 100x better. These other apps just nickel and dime you, and way over charge in my opinion for features smaller brands like ours need. I'm kind of shocked how few reviews they have, so adding mine here to hopefully help the other brands out there :)
Before choosing ReturnZap, I downloaded and tested around eight Shopify-integrated returns apps during their free trial periods. Nearly all of them had noticeable limitations unless you subscribed to their top-tier plans (often well over $100 USD per month), which just isn’t justifiable for a smaller brand like mine. Common issues included limited automation, clunky workflows, or not allowing exchanges for different items. ReturnZap stood out because its mid-tier plan already included the core functionality I actually needed, without forcing an expensive upgrade. During setup I had a few specific requirements and ran into some minor issues, but David from ReturnZap was incredibly helpful. His customer service was exceptional. He was responsive, knowledgeable, and he resolved everything quickly without any back-and-forth. Overall, ReturnZap appears to be a reliable, flexible solution for a smaller brand like mine (which has around 30-50 returns a month), that still needs robust exchange options and a returns system that simply works.
Highly recommend. This return app is very easy to use and has eliminated points where human error can occur. They have been very helpful with the set up when we needed help and making sure we understand what is going on and why. We are an online clothing store on Shopify, have tried three different return apps and hands down this one is the best. Again, we highly recommend.
A fantastic returns app that suits our needs perfectly. We reviewed and trialled a number of apps before settling with ReturnZap, and it was a great decision. The onboarding process was great and handled by the CEO, David. We went live only after everything was configured as we wanted. The out-of-the-box functionality meets most, if not all, of our needs. And for processes that couldn't at the time, have already been addressed through feature updates (which are frequent) or backend configuration by the ReturnZap team. I strongly recommend ReturnZap if you're scaling your business and are ready for a more professional Returns process.
We've been on an almost year long journey with ReturnZap. We've definitely run into some issues along the way but that's the honest process with every app. The big difference maker is that David has provided consistent, fast, and reliable support. ReturnZap has transformed the way we do our returns and we have saved a lot of money in not having to employ someone to process returns. It is really easy to use, takes all the hassle out of returns and is very flexible eg exchanges. The more you use it, the more you see how carefully it has been thought out. One small example is the way it saves stock if there is an exchange - previously, people would ask for an exchange and by the time, the original product arrived back, it would have sold out. Very highly recommended!
We just moved over to Returnzap Returns & Exchanges from Aftership Returns. Aftership cost was getting silly and plans and features were not suitable for a small to medium sized store. We were looking to implement an Exchange program (instead of just returns), including exchange for other variants across store. Returnzap has all the functionality and at a far more reasonable cost. Of equal importance David provided service and help configuring that was above and beyond. A pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend Returnzap for your advanced exchanges, it has everything you need.
David and his team have been incredibly helpful and supportive every step of the way. While we ultimately chose a different solution due to how our store credits works (a limitation with Shopify and the same issue with other return apps, so not a ReturnZap problem). Their customer service was outstanding. They were always accommodating, quick to address any issues, and eager to assist. Highly recommend this app to any business looking for a reliable and trustworthy returns solution!
The product is probably the best for return integration with Shopify, and luckily David (co-founder) was kind enough to work with us to satisfy our needs with this application. Because of that, and the up front honesty from David regarding their ability with ReturnZap, I would highly suggest you give it a trial as it has much more than the other applications offer.

This is a great app! One of the very few that offer a service without a per return cost. Since downloading this app, we have actually made money. By offering prepaid labels to customers that we can deduct from their returns, the difference more than covers the cost of this affordable, and well developed app. In addition, it has tons of huge time saving features. One click store credit is wonderful. Custom rules that control the return flow make life easy and allow us to streamline and automate a lot of the manual work that we used to have. Their team is highly responsive and they have customized many features for us. I highly recommend returnzap.

I have just started using ReturnZap but so far it has exceeded all my expectations in terms of the actual app as well as the service and support I have received. I have used several return apps before and this one was super quick to set up, very intuitive and does everything I need it to do. I love that returns can be managed within Shopify admin and that I can tailor it to my needs by having the communication flow that I want with my customers as well as the ability to effectively manage my return policy. I requested a demo, was contacted by David almost instantly and he helped me with all the questions and concerns I had. I would highly recommend this app!

I love this app. I’ve tried other return apps and this one by far is the best. It makes my life so much easier and the process for my customers has been easier for them. I’m not tech savvy and I was guided through any question I had and they helped me get set up quick and easy. Very responsive, and helpful. ReturnZap has made a huge improvement to our returns process. We needed a returns sytem that could handle returns to multiple countries and warehouses from customers around the world. We have found it a cost effective way to simplify and streamline the experience for customers and reduce workload on employees. I was looking for an app that was straightforward to use, reliable, and does the fundamentals well before anything else. This app achieved it, and most important of all support is great at helping you iron out any wrinkles specific to your own circumstance and getting you up to speed quickly.
I do not often leave reviews, but when someone goes out of their way to help our business they deserve a good review. I have installed over 10 alternatives while testing over the last 9 months, and also tested the big players such as Loop returns and others and I have came to a conclusion that Returnzap is the app we will use for our business. Their software is clean, fast and up to date with the latest shopify best practices and the support from David has been exceptional. Some other apps had a few more features, but they were all in one of two categories. Lots of features.. but none of them worked properly, and looked like they have been made and then forgotten about, or the cost was 10 x this app cost, many charging $1 (or in some cases $3-4) per return on top of the subscription fee. Give this app an install and use the free trial, I am sure you will be impressed. ps - We process 100,000+ orders a year. we're not a small store.

We'd been looking for a simple to use app that would make dealing with returns super-easy. After much searching we found ReturnZap. We don't process a high number of returns but it was important for us to find an app that would integrate with Royal Mail (many returns apps don't) & Fedex, and it had to be cost effective and easy to setup and manage. ReturnZap ticked all these boxes and more. Initially a bit tricky to set up, but the help & support from David has been excellent. We're now all set up, and viewing/approving returns is now so much simpler for us and, more importantly, our customers!

The app is more useful than before we used. Customers can purchase their own return labels for automatic returns. They don't need to spend time waiting for the seller to approve the return request, which optimizes our returns process. So we highly recommend this APP to all merchants who need it.

If you're looking for an app that can help streamline your returns process, I'd definitely recommend giving ReturnZap a try. I think I must have downloaded at least 5 apps to properly road test - including some far (far!) pricier options - and this was the best one for us by far. In my search for a returns app, I found that there really wasn't much choice for UK Shopify sites... i.e. the carriers supported and the language used. ReturnsZap works for UK-based businesses who ship using Royal Mail and want to offer Royal Mail Tracked Returns, as there's an integration via Easypost. The integration needed quite a bit of work, from all parties. But it's been 100% worth it, as it's giving our customers a MUCH better returns experience. Ultimately, it's going to save us a lot of time, too. Plus, allow us to have a better understanding of why customers are returning products so that we can continually improve our offering. With the other returns apps, every single one ultimately had some kind of showstopper that made it unworkable for us, and I think that's partly as they're built to be total returns solutions, so there's much less flexibility. With ReturnsZap, it's designed to be flexible, so you have to manually process refunds in Shopify, but that's fine with us, as we have more control over that aspect of it. There are a few additional features that I'd like to see, but I think some of these are in the pipeline. Of course, this review wouldn't be complete without mentioning David at ReturnZap. I downloaded more than 10 apps before finding ReturnZap. Even most established apps with a fancy UI cannot do basic things like customize the return flow based on product attributes or customer id or let you add multiple warehouses. ReturnZap can. Plus it's easy to get support and customize it. Highly recommended.

Great app that solves a huge problem. We're a clothing company, and as anyone in this industry knows, returns are a big part of the business. This app allows us to put some power in the customers' hands and reduces strain on our customer support resources. The few issues we have had in implementing the app has been handled quickly, correctly and with a friendly exchange. It's very powerful allowing rules for specific routing for returns. We ship from 2 DCs and I'm able to direct products exactly where they should be returned. We're tapped into our FEDEX account so prepaid labels are rate shopped and billed out of our account. We even have particular types of customer remorse returns set up to give the customer the option of shipping themselves or purchasing a label. As we've grown and evolved, this app has with us. We started with a basic setup and keep tweaking and perfecting it to match our business. Highly recommended.
