STAY AWAY FROM ActiveCampaign!!! I was a customer for over 3 years. Let me tell you this is a weak product from a bloated company that does not care about their customers. It is extremely hard to cancel your account and they use all the tricks in the book to take advantage of customers and hide behind fine print policies. This product costs waaaaaaay too much for what they can do. It was ok when there weren't many other options for email but now you are just flushing your $$$ down the drain. I was finally able to cancel and now am just using shopify email which has pretty much all the same features and automation that is FREE. It is ridiculous these guys are still in business. Don't waste your money on ActiveCampaign. It's like climbing on a sinking ship that doesn't have any life rafts.

Die Ladezeiten der Seiten ist extrem lang. Wir haben dann auf den Enterprise Plan gewechselt (Preis: +350 USD / Monat) und auf unseren "Dedicated Support Manager" gehofft. Allerdings weiß niemand etwas von dieser Position. Statt dessen chatten wir weiterhin mit Bots und First Level Support Mitarbeitern. Am liebsten würde ich Active Campaign sofort kündigen und zur Konkurrenz wechseln. Allerdings haben wir erst im September den langwierigen Onboarding-Prozess abgeschlossen und haben jetzt keine Ressourcen frei, um die Migration zu machen. Active Campaign: Eine große Enttäuschung und ein großer Fehler für uns.

I am the administrator of the account, and I was given permission by the company owner to work in the company's active campaign account. I need support, so I contacted the CS team, and they always ask me stupid questions when transferring my cases to tickets. Why do you guys ask for my billing information when I'm accessing the account? How can I log in to the account and contact you if I don't have the permission of my boss? This is really time-consuming. Last time, they said that I am not the admin or owner, so they cannot support. This time, they said that because I am not the owner. So only owners can ask for your support? My boss is really busy and does not have time to search for silly information all the time.

We have a lot of problems with this basic and non configurable integration.

We have been waiting 4 months for our SMS Registration... 6 customer service later we are left with no choice but to switch our provider back to Klavio. If your company name is a DBA, then this tool is not for you. You will be required to advertise your business as your parent company.

This software is amazing. Since moving over from MailChimp, we have had some Great success. And the CRM is very helpful as well.

I love the shopify and active campaign integration it makes so much easier to market to my customers. And it helps me to track my customer shopping habits. I love it!

We love using ActiveCampaign for our email marketing. The emails are beautiful, and we love the ability to track the effectiveness of our various campaigns. The integration with Shopify is terrific.

Absolutely horrible! The billing page is not working, not allowing us to pay for the plan. As a result blocking our ability to send time-sensitive email to our customers that we entrusted into ActiveCampaign. All we get is "an agent is working on your issue." The issues was reported over a month ago. Nothing was fixed why we were on the free trial. Now, this issue has been reported over 2 hours ago with assurances someone will be in touch via email. Nothing is being done. Stay away from ActiveCampaign!

Never buy it !! It is a scam! I have paid for this app yearly. But this app still deducted me every month $367 !! Please refund me !!!! The app charged me more than $1,000. I have contacted you several months, and get no solution. This app still charged me $367 this month. I have sent a help request to you fifteen days ago, contacted you several times, and never get a reply. Bad APP, Poor service, never use it !!

Excellent app. We've been using it for about 4 years now. We used Mailchimp previously but as our business has grown we needed a more robust email platform. It's really easy to tag customers and break them out into segments. The automations are also great. AND it costs less than Mailchimp did. Can't say enough good things!

Loved my onboarding process with ActiveCampaign. I have never had such quality service and attention during an onboarding. I am excited to see what features they keep developing, specifically improvements in reporting.

We use the ActiveCampaign and Shopify app to showcase our store's products in our ActiveCampaign emails to users, and pull user shopping data across to our CRM. It's extremely helpful and works well. The setup was totally painless! 5/5

We use Active Campaign to manage the customer experience for those who purchase our books through Shopify as well as purchase our courses through Thinkific. The integration between Shopify and Active Campaign is perfect. It took almost zero time to set it up and I can do all sorts of automations to engage with customers based on their product purchases.

Was able to integrate Shopify and ActiveCampaign to transfer contacts and trigger automations. Email Designer is really well built but can be slow and buggy sometimes.

At a price point that is difficult to beat, the ActiveCampaign app gives a ton of flexibility to execute all of the marketing strategies such as cart abandonment campaigns, seasonal reminders, and "similar products" messaging that can deliver results. It is a must for those that already use the ActiveCampaign software because of fits well within the rest of the AC ecosystem.

CRM app similar to Hubspot, or Zendesk, but with a focus on automated marketing campaigns. We tried this out, but found it did not meet our needs, which was more towards sales funnel. Pricing was reasonable, with consulting time built into the mid/higher tier plans. Good customer support.

Perfect to track activity of your clients on your store. This app integration helps my Call Center team to learn more of the lead activity before and after they buy or they get notified when a prospect leave the cart. They take advantage to do better follow ups on the pipeline. I recommend to everyone who has a online store integrate Active Campaign with Shopify, specially for e-commerce

Activecampaign is probably the most powerfull and complete CRM to have fully integrated with your store. On my case it has not only allowed me to built incredible automations to keep conversations alive and drive revenue, but also I can now manage B2B pipeline professionaly.

I needed some help to get set up, but once that is complete, there is so much functionality to AC, really powerful for marketing funnels.

This is a great app. It works as advertised without any issues so far. I've been impressed with how much Shopify data syncs across, making very easy to build out campaigns and automations. The onboarding and support videos are well done, and the chat support is excellent.

Active Campaign has allowed us to build our email list while also integrating new marketing tactics with all of the amazing email and automation features they offer. The best thing we did was find Active Campaign to help be the powerhouse of our email marketing efforts. We switched from Hubspot as Active Campaign offered us way better pricing to better fit our needs and budgets. We highly recommend Active Campaign to anyone needing a platform for email marketing and other amazing and great features that come along with it.

This app was super helpful in integrating and segmenting my customers into our Active Campaign email platform in order to use advanced segmentation in our marketing efforts! Would recommend.

Super impressed with Active Campaign. The tools are so powerful there is very little we can't do. The account management support is really useful as well to help us achieve our goals. We migrated from Mailchimp and were looking for something with a much better interface and behaviour-led automations. Having looked into loads of suppliers, we comfortably chose Active Campaign, and have since recommended it to other businesses. On a basic level it is very powerful, but once you hook into the API it is even better. One negative... no site pop-ups. Bit weird for such a big system, but I have been assured they are coming!

We switched over to ActiveCampaign from MailChimp earlier this year and couldn't be happier with our decision. Their capabilities are very innovative and their support teams are super helpful. It's easy-to-use and has eliminated a lot of heavy lifting on our end, which has been great! Their analytics have also been super helpful to our team in strategizing our plans moving forward. Highly recommend!

We are using the AC app since 2 yrs, it works perfectly and allow us to automate all funnel strategy.

I do really like the user friendly aspect of this app - The cost is indeed more expensive than our former MailChimp integration, so I am looking forward to learning more bells and whistles to help justifiy our bump in cost.

ActiveCampaign is the best email marketing automation tool I´ve seen. It´s Easy to use, yet very powerful.

We recently switched to ActiveCampaign to better automated our sales process. As a non-profit their resources and automations have been incredibly helpful in saving us time. Also we were able to connect two separate shopify sites which consolidated our data and made it easier to segment customers/donors. We love this app.

Links well with the Shopify store making triggers and automations simple. Would like to see more integration with products and collections similar to MailChimp though. Overall great customer service, and worth the price.

The automation builder in AC is extremely helpful and comprehensive. The email builder, however, is greatly lacking in features, creativity, customization, and ease of use. The tools are difficult to use, and it feels very cumbersome unless you have extensive coding knowledge/ability. The customer service on the team is great, the onboarding process was very supportive and helpful, and was tailored to our business specific needs. Overall, would recommend, but would really love to see some improvements on email!

We've been using Active Campaign for AgelessLX over 5 years and it just keeps getting better and better. AC has the highest deliverability rates of any ESP, easy/intuitive automation builds, forms, landing pages and seamless integration with our shopify store. While we're often switching out other technologies in our stack, it's comforting to know that we're solid with Active Campaign and have no intention of ever getting off this robust and evolving platform. If you want your emails getting through to your audience and clients - get Active Campaign.

We've been using Active Campaign for 2 years now and have had a great experience. It's definitely not the most popular or common ESP, so sometimes other apps we use don't have pre-built integrations, but for the price it's great! Friendly, knowledgable, and responsive product support via chat is a huge plus.

By having Shopify integrated with Active Campaign, it makes things a lot smoother for us at Empify. We can better serve our customers and better operate as a business. It is really effective!

They've created the most intuitive, easy-to-use, yet still powerful marketing automation platform for small and medium businesses. I've used Active Campaign for a couple of years now. It is a tough software to beat when you consider the functionality that you get at a very fair price. I would highly recommend it to any business that wants to provide a custom experience for their customers while automating a lot of the segmentation and steps in the customer journey.

I've been with ActiveCampaign for a while, so I am happy with it and it has a lot of features that would be amazing to use, and it's helped me to grow my company through automated emails. The only thing I would note is that, I'm not a huge techy, so it can be difficult as I need the assistance of a developer to do some things. It could definitely be made more user friendly for people who are not so techy in terms of integrations, event setup, also having the ability to make emails much prettier and having more options. Basically, it seems to be one of the best out there in terms of capabilities, but just know that the setup and backend are not as simple to use as something like Shopify for example.

VERY Bad app~ Missleading ~ I cannot use Lite plan on Shopify,they said Shopify can only integrate on Plus plan or above ~ But their billing page is showing the Lite plan and discount to attract customer but actually we cannot enjoy it ~ Moreover , I cannot enjoy 50% discount for 3 month~ When I first click on the Active campaign billing page , it shows the discount , but when i want to upgrade to paid plan , the page turns to Shopify billing page it bill the original price. After that ,I sent the email to them to report the situation, they persuade me to open the account on there own platform , and not bill on shopify so that i can use the discount, and at the same time , i need to cancel the free trial account and all record need to be redo again !!

It's an essential tool in our marketing department and the team at Active Campaign continually push the bar with new innovations. It is very reliable and has been a huge help in our business. The service is easy to use and the results are measurable and have provided us with great ROI.

The integrations works great, I was thinking to use Klaviyo, but AC does the same with better response rate and delivery rate.

We are happy that Activecampaign can sync product data with customers within Activecampaign, but it is still limited. We would love to see e-commerce features on par with software like Klayvio. Cheers.

Active Campaign is great – I love the functionality and how helpful their services are! I just wish this app weren't an extra cost on top of paying for both Shopify & Active Campaign alone. Thank you for this option though!

We moved to AC from a much older ESP, which initially made AC a great option. The ability to directly pull product images from Shopify via automation emails seems like a perk BUT AC cannot handle .PNG product images. AC coerces them into .JPGs which creates a black background and essentially ruins the functionality and purpose of dynamically pulling product images from shopify. This makes abandoned cart emails and similar automations completely unusable. Other than that, the system is somewhat easy to use and understand, however there is a learning curve for automations. A better system for testing automations would be highly beneficial. The reporting system isn't very robust, but provides general data. Pop-ups are easy to create, but there isn't yet a way to set a delay, so they pop up on page load, which aggravates many users. AC does have great deliverability rates. Our emails land in inboxes right where they are supposed to.

I have been using Active Campaign for over 5 years and its great that I can integrate with Shopify. Despite the many CRM providers in the market, AC have been consistently great with their service and help as well as introducing new features. The most recent one for me is the ability to do microsites which has been a game changer for me as I have my store but have these amazing full colour impactful pages for my major campaigns.

Active Campaign helps me automate all my emails to my customers with newsletters, and I also use the auto-responders to new contacts to let them know my store details and have a link to research and remember me by.

Great service up to the point when you commit to the paid plan... after that my account manager disappeared, passed on from one rep to the next. Ended up costing us $600 USD and we didn't send a single e-mail or gain any insight. This app is definitely not for small businesses trying to simplify. It needs a lot of your time and has a steep learning curve.

I use Active Campaign as my CRM after switching from Drip. There is NO comparison! It integrates seamlessly and easily with Shopify to nurture and enhance the customer relationship and experience.

In terms of B2C and B2B automation and interoperability with other platforms, ActiveCampaign is one of the best ESP options available! It borders on being a CRM as well, especially for smaller companies who can easily manipulate their data and contacts using workflows and automations. It’s deep link data connection to Shopify and Re:amaze make it incredibly valuable to our marketing and customer service teams. Really the only reason this doesn’t get 5/5 stars is for the pay to play email testing (should be included with certain higher level plans) and the poor asset management tool. They’ve since released the content manager tool which is elementary at best and two years too late. Now to get maximum benefit from that feature, we must go back and manage thousands of images. Metafield tags? Otherwise the deliverability of emails and robust nature of the platform have been very useful for us.

This is a great and reliable application to send out your emails from. Just a little pricey. However, I highly recommend to those looking for an upgraded "CRM" system.

Active Campaign has taken our email marketing to the next level. We were especially satisfied with the onboarding and startup process. The team was very attentive and made sure we were doing things as efficiently as possible.

I love that we can connect Shopify with Active Campaign. It took me a couple searches and calls to figure out how to link a Shopify product purchase with an automation trigger in Active Campaign. But now that I have that figured out ... I love the integration. Saves me a lot of time tracking customers.

Terrible revenue reports! They are incorrect and unreliable. If you need any type of reports to justify your cost do not use AC. I have contact support several times and evidently this is not a priority. We are unable to justify the high cost of AC because of their faulty reports.

If reports are important to your business DO NOT USE! ActiveCampaign. We depend on accurate revenue reports to justify our cost and time spent but evidently this is not a priority for AC. Reports have broken multiple times and support takes moths to fix it. All data is lost during these times

UPDATE: Revenue reports are down AGAIN. I contacted support about this over weeks ago with very little help. We are spending over $600 a month with Activecampaign and we are, once again, unable to have any reports that tell us the revenue generated through our campaigns. We have no idea who purchased from our site through the emails. As a wholesale distributor automation and list segmenting is crucial, and Active campaign combined with Zapier has us covered. Wish it was more consistent and reliable... we have had too many issues with tech support.

UPDATE: Revenue reports are down AGAIN. I contacted support about this over weeks ago with very little help. We are spending over $600 a month with Activecampaign and we are, once again, unable to have any reports that tell us the revenue generated through our campaigns. We have no idea who purchased from our site through the emails. UPDATE: The reports have been updated/fixed and we can now see the revenue generated from the emails. We can now justify the increased cost from moving to Activecampaign from Mailchimp. Overall ActiveCampaign is very easy to use with a minimal learning curve. Our account manager has been very helpful and readily available to help with setting up our account, automation, and anything else we need. There are still some major bugs. We are currently unable to review accurate reporting with revenue generated. We have no idea who purchased from our site through the emails.

UPDATE: Revenue reports are down AGAIN. I contacted support about this over weeks ago with very little help. We are spending over $600 a month with Activecampaign and we are, once again, unable to have any reports that tell us the revenue generated through our campaigns. We can also see that segmenting IS improving deliverability. Love the easy segmenting and automations. We hope this will help us reach the right customers and increase our engagement. Currently our reports have not worked for a month and we are unable to see any revenue generated. That is a big disappointment since we are unable to justify the increase in cost.

UPDATE: Revenue reports are unreliable. If you need any type of accurate reporting do not use AC. We currently are not able to see how much revenue out campaigns are generating. UPDATE: After several months of monitoring, we can see that segmenting is improving deliverability and increasing revenue. Worth the switch! The segmenting has helped us clean up our list and put us on the path for better deliverability. Still deciding if it was worth the switch from Mailchimp.

UPDATE: Revenue reports are terrible and unreliable. Support has not been helpful with this problem. If you need any type of ROI reports do not use AC. You will have no idea how much revenue your campaigns are generating. Overall the experience with AC is good. Technical support is not up to the standards it should be and has caused numerous problems with our account, but our account manager has been fantastic. If you are considering switching to ActiveCampaign just do not rely on tech support.

Have been using ActiveCampaign since 2018 and we recently migrated from a WordPress website to Shopify. Seamless transition and integrates really well. Excellent tool!

We have been using AC for years before even connecting it to our Shopify store. they clearly have been listening to the marketplace as many new features were added along the way (lots of automations, landing pages tools, forms etc...all necessary tools to create content and capture emails to be pushed into lists/automations etc...). Customer service is always prompt and helpful, they also have regular webinars on their updates. It is much more than your entry level email tool (Mailchimp...). It works for us so we keep adding integrations with our online assets and do our best to automate everything that can be!

By far the best email tool, I used so far. Makes it very visual and easy to use. Still quite expensive, but it is worth it

I used this for CRM, and it's pretty basic and easy to use. It has some pre-built automation templates for E-commerce stores.

Very simple to get up & running but very powerful. Integration of AC popups on to a Shopify site could perhaps be a little easier, but some good documentation is available to help. Overall - very impressed. Lots of time saves and lots of new tools in our toolbox.

Active Campaign's deep integration with Shopify ensures a high level of control over our marketing automation aimed at improving our abandoned cart rates, as well as upselling and crossselling. The learning curve is very low and the service is great. I definitely recommend this tool.

ActiveCampaign has many features that other newsletter programs do not. There is a learning curve though, which we are still working on, but so far, good results.

Once I capture a client through Shopify, there are numerous ways to communicate. I love the templates you can choose from for a professional looking email. The analytics are very thorough.
