I've been using the app for a month or so now and haven't even used a lot of the features yet. As I've been getting everything set up in the app and within the backend of Shopify, the team at BTN has been so helpful and encouraging. Cyrus is incredibly friendly, explains things well, and has great leading ideas/plans to implement that will assist with everything the company I work for needs! It's clear the values they hold for their team are strong and they value connecting with their clients. The app itself has so much information in it, and for a brand who doesn't necessarily want to pay the prices of some of the larger apps yet but needs more data than what Shopify provides, this is definitely the best way to go with arguably a better, hands on experience. I'm so impressed with the features, and the team walks you through all of them to make sure you understand. While I don't have data to report yet on the success of using BTN, I have no doubt that the strategies the team has suggested and helping me implement will work wonders.
You'll be amazed at how useful this app is. Just give it a go. The baked-in AI tools will find revenue sitting under your nose whether your store is small or huge. The 'Exec Summary AI' tab is particularly useful to see your week-on-week snapshots, and the Copilot AI chat actually uses your own stores data to answer - quite literally any request - you could have. Other reviews talk about how great the segmentation and reports are, and they're completely right. Just give it a download and you'll quickly find how useful By The Numbers is.
This app is wonderful, and their CFO is literally the nicest human being on planet earth. This app provides us with rich data on all our customers. It also includes features for audience creation across social media platforms and Google Ads. They recently added AI-generated summaries to your data, which give you a really great overview of what is happening in your store. Wonderful app and a wonderful team behind it. We say this is a must-have.

It’s straightforward, intuitive, and saves us a ton of time while giving us better insights than we had before. But what I really appreciate is the support team. They’re one of the best groups I’ve worked with when it comes to Shopify apps. If I have a quick question, I can hop on chat and get an answer right away. And if we want to dig in deeper, they’re more than happy to set up a breakout session and walk us through things step by step. They’ve helped us learn how to get the most out of the tool, not just answer surface-level questions. The combination of an easy-to-use platform and such a supportive team has made By the Numbers feel less like just another app, and more like a real partner in our DTC strategy.

BtN is a great analytics tool with lots of functionality that punches way above its weight. It uses a traditional RFM segmentation model that didn't work so well for our unique business but will likely work for most others. Nevertheless, BtN still has so much analytics functionality, that we still found enough value to keep using it. Its particular strength is being able to filter your Shopify dashboard by RFM/custom segments. Piam is attentive and knows what he's talking about, so there's no nonsense, most functions are there for a reason and if not he's quick to help implement any new reports or functions that you might need. Highly recommended, especially for the affordable price.

This App is a Total Game-Changer! Hands down, this is the best app you can get for really understanding your customer value. Compared to all the other options out there, it's super affordable but still packs a serious punch with features. The app has a ton of reports that will open your eyes to where you should be focusing your ad spend. I was blown away by how much insight they give into optimizing my media buying strategy. And get this - they recently upgraded their Shopify integration, so the tracking and segmentation capabilities are even better now! But what really sets this app apart is the incredible customer support from Piam and the team. They actually listen to what users want and deliver on those requests for new reports and features. We've been using By The Numbers for nearly three years - it's powerful, but lightweight integration means we can quickly segment customers, get snapshots of our business without bulky exports and analysis. The RFM analysis, also the product "movers & shakers" is super helpful, and as far as dashboards go it is one of the best-priced for the core features that most DTC brands need. It comes with a Klaviyo / Google ads integration and they're working on one for Meta which is helpful for getting a stronger sense of contribution margin. I've personally recommended it to many of our peer brands and it becomes a common language for comparing and learning about how we're performing.
Piam, Syrus and his team provide the best customer service I have ever seen. They really care about the customers and their challenges. They really try to explain everything to you during meetings and show you what is possible. The software has huge potential and a lot of possibilities. It allows us to create the right custom segments and forward them to our push channels. Highly recommended!

I've tried SEVERAL reporting/analytics apps (all the major ones). By the Numbers buries the rest because it's so easy to segment the data anyway you want, so you can see exactly what your business is doing. Plus, their team has been incredibly helpful. Highly recommended!

Superb app. Very useful in knowing who my customers are, and where they are in the buying cycle. The out-of-the-box customer segmentation is crazy (in a good way) and gives me the ability to sync these as custom audiences into Google Ads (huge). The Products Sold report is useful in showing what products are sold, and matches these to customer segments as well to help in developing product promotion strategy. Great app overall on providing real business intelligence. Also, the support from the team when I had a question is excellent.

By The Numbers is the single most valuable app you can add to your store. Over the last 6 months I have used it to gain an understanding of my customer journey and business operations that I never could have dreamed of before. I've used the data from BTN to adjust marketing messaging timing, adjust advertising spend to the most efficient campaigns, understand customer purchasing tendencies (bundling, etc), and even as a prompt to change the formulation on one of my products. (Purchase latency and repurchase rates). Put simply, BTN will allow you to make better, information-based decisions that will help you run a more profitable business. I would be blind without it.

Understanding and increasing LTV is a very underrated part of building a successful Shopify store. Normally, you would need to generate, download and analyze several reports and go through a lot of data to get the insights necessary to take effective action. By the Numbers does all this for you. They organize your data into charts and lists that are specifically designed to help grow your LTV and retention. They also integrate into other tools so you can quickly take action and use they insights to grow your business. Highly Recommend!

As a company from 1854, We have a large data base of customers spanning back until when emails were invented. Our oldest customers have been around longer than the living members of staff have. This app has been the perfect, easy to use out of the box data app to help us know. A) Who is worth the most, B) Who is starting to slip C) How often they come back and when we should chase up... among a lot of other factors. The true ROI of AdWords being just another factor this app provides us for a fraction of the price of the other one we used before. Amazing app, GA4 Vs UA was a bit of a nightmare. This app saved our team. Giving us all the data we needed plus LTV and cumulative sales total to see how we are t byracking is really cool. More so over being able to use the segmenting tool helped us cut our klaviyo bill without loosing any conversions. Highly recommended.

I've been using Shopify and downloading various apps to help grow my business for over 10 years, and By the Numbers is the first (of oh so many) analytics apps that feels tailored to my needs. The support has been super helpful, everything is clear in both language and layout. So far, I've experienced notable growth in sales and customer interactions (newsletter sign-ups). Looking at detailed historical data has been really helpful as well in terms accurately forecasting fall production needs (likely saving me money as well). Highly recommend this app!

This app gives us acess to a lot of data which would have taken hours to calculate manually or needed very interesting expensive tools like microsoft BI or tableau. This apps saves millions of minutes that entreprenuers spent trying to get useful metrics from our e-commerces. A normal cohort anaylisis requires hours with excel and seconds with By the numbers
I researched several apps and found this to be the best, by far. It offers a lot of rich and customizable data that can't be found aside from larger programs that cost much more. On top of that, Fred (who I think is one of the founders) is incredibly responsive and super thorough in his replies. I've reached out to him several times with questions, feedback, etc. and he's gotten back to me in a timely manner with very thorough replies. Incredible product and company!
By the Numbers has been a hugely helpful app for our company - allowing us to create segments and cohort analysis we can't do with Shopify alone! And their support team (incl. Fred) is very responsive whenever we need additional features added, custom reports or have questions of any kind.
We've only been using this app for a few weeks, but it's proven to be a great tool for quick analysis of both our customer and store health. Fred has been amazing at addressing out needs and quickly building out new features on his own as well as at our request. I would highly recommend starting a trial and getting acquainted with all the tools - but also learning what everything means so you can fully grasp the value that By The Numbers provides. We're very happy with this app and are looking forward to that benefits as it evolves!

This app is great! Lost of very useful information, I especially love the customer loyalty report, using this report I was able to bring back customers that were about to the defect. The information in this report is extremely important and already paid for this app for the next few years!
