CartHook Upsell

NO INSTALEN ESTA APP. Me cobraron cargos incorrectos de suscripción que nunca contraté. Después de meses reclamando, dijeron que procesaron los reembolsos pero Shopify confirmó que NUNCA los recibieron. Su soporte responde pero el dinero jamás llegó. Llevo más de 2 meses esperando una solución. Evítenla a toda costa DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP. They charged me incorrect subscription fees I never contracted. After months of claiming, they said they processed refunds but Shopify confirmed they NEVER received them. Their support responds but the money never arrived. I've been waiting over 2 months for a solution. Avoid it at all costs. We do apologise for your experience, we had a brief issue which is now resolved

Really awful experience with support. The plugin straight up would not trigger at all after setting up, contacted support, they took like a week to respond with the most obvious basic "solution" which still did not work. Long enough to finish the trial period and start charging us! We do apologise for your experience, we had a brief issue which is now resolved

easy to install and wonderful guidance onboarding call

Customer support was great - the chat was responsive and they worked with me to resolve an issue. The issue had to get escalated for some help on Shopify side of things and Carthook agent stuck with me the whole time until everything was working. I so appreciated the quick and responsive service in resolving my problem!

The team at Carthook has been immensely helpful and even implemented a feature by request via an easily scheduled zoom meeting with one of their app developers. They always respond within minutes and make sure that the right person is there to help with whatever specific need you have. If you set up your funnels the right way, they can be a reliable revenue stream for your business. Highly recommend and I am looking forward to the features and updates they add. We are new to the app but our onboarding call with Adel was incredibly helpful. He had already looked at our website and was very intuitive about what would be a great offer for our customers; he was very knowledgeable. The app appears to be very straight forward and easy to use - and Adel has offered to help us if we do have any questions which is reassuring.

Flexible, inexpensive, and easy to use! One cool tactic that doesn't seem to be well-documented: you can create bundles using Shopify's native "Bundles" app, and then offer those as upsells via CartHook.

4 bugs in a row is not coincidence, first couldn't finish to install the app after, it require someone check the app and their support email me to try again a day later. then couldn't add product upsells to the funnel cause app got stuck loading forever, it took a whole afternoon and a technician check my store, then after the funnel was done I test it myself and it says the offer wasn't available (which is false cause the product have stuck) then.. they email me to check again, and now I cant even access to the app cause says 505 server error. used cart hook in 2018 and made 20% extra revenue from $3M. it was so good, its a shame its abandoned and nothing works like it use to be.

Just had my first support call with product manager, Tarik. He was great, and gave us some great insights on how to optimize our post-order AOV. And we built our first funnel together! Great advice! Made it super easy to get started.

This is a new app for me but I have used other apps that do this. I jumped on a call with Sela and he was able to answer my Qs about how to best optimise my upsells, and also shared some great tips on best practice in regards to upselling. I appreciated the offer to look at my funnels in the future if they aren't converting as well as they should be. It's a nice simple app that is very easy to use!

I did extensive research on upsell apps and CartHook has proven to be the best. They provide the best design and customization we could find. Tina with the support team is always so kind and helpful! We've been using about a year now.

So far it's been great. We started with the larger plan to do some AB testing on offers and once we got the data we needed we downgraded, AB testing was very useful. Customer support is also great, Tina helped out with an issue we were having regarding orders being shipped even though the upselled products weren't being paid for and she was great.

This is a great way to create that retail impulse rack-style purchase at checkout on Shopify. Setting it up can be a little tricky at first, but the carthook team has the white-glove approach to ensuring you are utilizing their program to the fullest potential. Highly impressed by their level of personalized assistance. Since implementing and redesigning our funnels we have seen over 100k in sales from this program. Worth it.

The Cart Hook team, specifically, Saso, were very helpful in resolving an issue with had with one of our pages. They were responsive and worked with us and Shopify to solve it quickly.

CartHook has delivered some nice results for my store by helping increase AOV. Since offers through CartHook are post-purchase, we feel that we can be more aggressive with discounts that we offer. The reason why we feel that we can offer more post purchase, is because it’s clear to the customer that they are only receiving the discount because they’ve already purchased, as opposed to annoying up-sells and pop ups which can leave a bad taste in peoples mouths and even cause them to abandon their orders. The app itself is very good, not glitchy or buggy, and it is well designed. They thought this through in a detailed manner, and provide some thoughtful options which we’ve been taking advantage of. Overall, CartHook is one of the better apps that we’ve added to our store. Our AOV increased, per unit shipping cost has decreased, and we don’t feel like we’re annoying our customers because they’ve already completed their purchase by the time they see the offers. Very good

This app does exactly what it claims to do! Simple set up, no code, and super easy to build custom offers to once a customer has checked out. We have seen loads of extra revenue coming in that would not have been there otherwise since all revenue driven from this app was revenue that would not have been there otherwise and doesn't hurt conversion rate since the offer does not show until a purchase has already been completed. The funnels are super powerful which allow for very tailored offers with if/then statements that determine which offers to show to each particular user. The support and team behind the app has been 10/10 as well, providing various tips and best practices to get the most out of their app. The only downside, which is a Shopify limitation, and not CartHook's fault, is that the offers do not show to users who check out via certain 3rd party payment processors, which means not all of your traffic that fit each funnel will see your offers. This is something I'm hoping Shopify resolves, which would make this app even that much more powerful since a high % of our traffic checks out with Sezzle/Afterpay for example.

App is working well so far. UI is easy to use, liking the design of the upsells better than some of the competitors. No issues so far.

Carthooks support team made our funnels super easy to set up during our trial, quick plug n play. After generating more than our target revenue during the trial period, Carthook is now a staple in our apps and has continued to raise our AOV. A great low-hanging-fruit app to install. Highly recommend.

Awful app. Worse service. App doesn't serve up offers for between 30-50% of sales. When it does, it often serves up the wrong offer. Customer service simply rebuffs any complaints denying the reality that offers aren't being served. This appears to be a growing problem with the app. My worst experience with an app on Shopify in 5 years. I would absolutely stay away. On top of it, reporting is garbage.

The new carthoook is an absolute disaster! The functionality is extremely limiting and the new change took my AOV from 130 to 100-110 per day. Carthook if you are reading this, you need to allow users to customize their upsells according to both mobile and desktop. The new carthook limits us to only 2 offers which is devastating. I used to have a 50+% take rate on several offers and now it is all sub 15%. The new carthook doesn't allow any customization. We can't even change the font color. We can't customize the page to be aesthetic. Please fix these changes carthook and I'll adjust this review

Years ago, I heard a marketing guru say, "The best time to ask a customer for more money is right after they've just given you money." CartHook contributes nearly $10K/month worth of additional revenue in upsells -- we generally use a simple message of, "would you like an extra bottle for X% off?" The app is extremely easy to set up and use, and CartHook tech support is very helpful and quick to respond. Highly recommended adding this app to your Shopify!! :)

I use Carthook for Post Purchase on all my stores. It has been my secret weapon for sales, our post purchased take rate is over 18%. I'm surprised that everyone does not use it.

CartHook has been a great addition to our shop to improve average order value. It's easy and intuitive to set up new post-purchase funnels, and recent feature additions based on tags and collections are a huge plus. It has seamlessly integrated into the fulfillment end of our business, as well. The support team has been responsive, and we look forward to testing out some new deals for our upcoming busy holiday season.

Excellent Shopify App -- Does a stellar job for the whole Post Purchase Offer process, from the configuration of the upsells all the way to the analytics. CartHook is a MUCH better alternative to Zipify OCU. In short, I'd say the main reason why I like it better is because it doesn't come with weird rules/restrictions like Zipify OCU does. For example, with OCU you can't add text without also adding an image, and it's missing some basic features like image carousel. Every ecommerce website since the 90's has had an image carousel, yet Zipify OCU doesn't. CartHook suffers from neither of these annoying (and quite frankly, embarrassing) problems that OCU has. CartHook is simple, powerful, and it just plain works. There are obviously some restrictions with the app which are probably Shopify's fault (they only allow certain elements to be edited on their native checkout). But other than a few nitpicky things, it's great. One small thing I wish it did was that when you click an image in the image carousel, it would automatically select that variant from the drop down menu. Example: You click on the image of the red shirt, and it shows the red shirt in the image carousel, but I wish it also selected that variant from the drop down menu. This is a relatively small thing, and overall, CartHook works great.

We use Carthook in many different ways to help with our marketing objectives. It is very useful for upsell items as well as sale items that we are trying to blow out. It is very easy to use and the analytics are great.

App seems easy enough to use. BUT: There is no internal confirmation email, or any other type of notification, when someone purchases a post sale through the app. SO if you auto print your orders as they come in, the upsell will not be on the order. So now you need to manually check everyday to see if there are any post sells? This leaves way too much room for human error. It is 2021 and i can not believe they can not send a simple email, or some other notification to any other of the thousands of app integrations out there (ie:SLACK), when an order has a post sell added to it. Especially considering with the $50/mo fee and a 1% royalty, this should be standard. Another issue is if you want to offer a few small add-ons, they do not show all at one time. They are in series. The flow is annoying this way and seems like a never ending upsell attempt to the customer. They should have a template to add multiple items on the same upsell page.

We're seeing great success with CartHook's post-purchase offers (+30% lift). The funnel was easy to implement and their team was very responsive when we reached out for guidance on best practices. Would highly recommend CartHook to any business looking to increase AOV.

I have been waiting for Shopify to support something like this for 5 years. Nothing will drove your AOV's higher than Post Checkout upsells. As of the time of this review it only works with Credit Cards (not Shop Pay, PayPal, or other gateways) but hopefully Shopify will loosen the reins a bit here and allow support for other gateways. Should at least be able to do PayPal.

This app def is slow and the design options are pretty bad for building brand trust. They really need to invest in having 5 solid templates for us to pick from that are done well. Also, the app doesn't work with Recharge subscriptions (which other upsells like Zipify do offer– I've seen it in action). On a PLUS, it has increased my average order, which is nice. Yet I prob won't be staying around much longer if they don't start working on the issues I described above.

Carthook has increased our AOV by 24%. Every Shopify store should be using CH to increase AOV and LTV. Setting up a funnel takes 5 minutes and has easily been the most impactful change we've made to our Shopify store to drive revenue.

Would be great IF it supported multi currency and would allow you to add collections rather on a product by product basis

I like how simple it is use use. Since my makeup company started using it we have seen up sells every single day. Can't complain about that.

This app used to be so much better. I think Shopify made them change it all up and now it really sucks. We're not getting any conversions on our post purchase upsells anymore. I wish we could have access to the old version as we were one of the first customers.
