ShipperHQ: Shipping & Checkout

We've worked with ShipperHQ and their parent organization since 2013 on several different platforms. We've always been impressed with their software and service. The software is excellent for tailoring shipping rules so the carriers will return shipping prices at the checkout that match what a human would have done by hand. Their technicians are also very good at troubleshooting setups to ensure the rates we show to customers match the rates we pay the carriers.

Easy to set up & use. Gives just the right amount of options without being overwhelming. Support has been great so far!

It's good except for a lot of weirdness in the UI like how they disabled opening in a new tab for shipping rules

The native Shopify shipping calculator was just not robust enough for our needs. ShipperHQ was a blessing as we were to put shipping rules in place that took into account dimensional weight, multiple origins, and select carriers. Their support helps you through the way to make sure you are calculating the most accurate shipping rate possible. I definitely recommend! Update: It's now 2026 and we are still using this fantastic app. I want to also point out how great the tech support is with ShipperHQ. Fernando was a tremendous help to me in configuring a complex shipping calculator.

We've used ShipperHQ for years on multiple platforms. It is super easy to use and their support team is incredibly helpful!

Our company has used ShipperHQ for many years now, dating back to our site launching on Magento 1.9. We're now on Shopify and continue to be impressed with their technology. What I like the most about ShipperHQ is the ability to create rules that give us an incredible amount of control over what rates are shown and when. Stuff like No Fedex Home if its a PO Box or to AK/HI/PR, blocking certain items from shipping to certain locations, the ability to "tweak" pricing with adjustments. It gives you so much control.

We've been using ShipperHQ for 5 years now. It's been great for our customers. Support has always been very helpful in helping us accomplish some of the oddball issues we come up with. If you are totally new to this type of software, it will take some time to learn but most everything is fairly straight forward.

I've been using ShipperHQ since first replatforming on Shopify a couple of years ago, and it's absolutely amazing, the app has impressive functionality, we're able to offer shipping calendar options we couldn't offer in the past & it's really helped conversion. I also can't fault the support team, any time I've had queries I've had helpful responses extremely quickly, and have also had video calls with the team for them to walk me through how to use different parts of the app. The support team are extremely helpful. I'd definitely recommend this app.

We use ShipperHQ across all of our platforms and the stability and customer support is amazing. I would definitely reccomend.

The ShipperHQ app allows us to offer our customers specific shipping options and carriers at checkout based on what is in their cart. We have a wide variety products that vary greatly in size and price. This app allows us to set up complex rules for our shipping options. We've not found any other Shopify app that allows us the same functionality. It's also been very reliable, without any downtime in the 5 years we've used it. This is very important in an app on the checkout page! The ShipperHQ support team is very responsive and always helpful. Recently we switched to a new LTL freight carrier. The ShipperHQ team guided us through adjusting our settings to add the carrier. When we ran into difficulty the support representative, Michael, scheduled a meeting and walked us through adjusting our settings until we got the result we were looking for.

I would give more stars if I could. Shipper HQ is both an incredibly powerful and flexible app for calculating shipping and delivery costs, their support is the absolute best I've seen. You can not go wrong with this product and the team that backs it up!!! To speak to the reviews that indicate a steep learning curve - first, I would say that it can appear intimidating, but if you take a breath and follow the steps in the help docs one by one, it's quite easy to set up. AND if you get stuck, that's when their service can really be helpful in figuring out what you missed (I speak from experience. Every problem I've had has been something I missed that was right there. They never make me feel badly about it, but just solve my problem) As to shopify and shipper HQ, I can speak to that too, because I used Shipper HQ on a different platform previously, and that platform would record any errors in going through shipping. Shopify doesn't do that, and I would put that on shopify not shipper HQ. Regardless of the lack of error codes from the website, Shipper HQ has helped me out of TWO jams that I got myself in, and in WAY under 24 hours too!! Don't listen to the negative reviews. They don't represent what this company stands for, (which should be obvious based on the responses from the App team.)

Anthony Cantabrana provided exceptional customer service! He was incredibly helpful, answered all my questions thoroughly, and was always available to take my calls. His support made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Even though we didnt end up using the app it was Five-star service—I truly appreciate his help!

Do not trust - they avoid cancelling your subscription despite following their cancellation procedure. I tried subscribing to ShippeHQ for my store which wasn't suitable for us. We claimed the 15 day trial and almost immediately tried cancelling by contacting the app's support to cancel the plan, as per their instructions for their app. Anthony Cantabrana advised I should fill out a form here (https://docs.shipperhq.com/subscription/#Close_or_Cancel_Subscription) which directs you to this page (https://docs.shipperhq.com/cancel-subcription/) which states "Please contact CustomerSuccess@ShipperHQ.com at least 3 days prior to the next bill date to request cancellation. A team member will reach out to you within one business day to confirm your cancellation." We followed these instructions and have still been charged. I have emails proving my correspondence. App in question: ShipperHQ: All-In-One Solution If you want an app which is a pain to cancel, this is the no.1 winner in my opinion.

The shipper HQ rate is great for our store with 2 origins plus all the table rates needed. It is fairly easy to use once you read the instruction page. The onboarding team is great. We used it for 1 week now. Everything looks good so far. The set up support was really good and helpful. After few months, we would like to set up another table rate with specific SKUs. This time, the support is so-so. Then we will need to pay for set up a meeting for the support. Please be aware to set up all your requirements on the initial set up.

There is a learning curve with ShipperHQ for sure, but Ryan Monk is always so helpful and responds quickly with any of my questions or confusions, takes the time to walk me through the steps and teach me, or even better will just go in there and make the adjustments for me. ShipperHQ has been amazing for us as we transitioned to a Shopify store. We offer a number of different products that ship in a number of different ways, and ShipperHQ's support team helped guide us through that process seamlessly. ShipperHQ has helped us solve a unique problem for our business. We have very heavy products (canvas tents) that need to ship-alone/not combinable. We were never charging enough on our shipping costs - and were losing our shorts in ship fees - before we switched to ShipperHQ. Now we're charging the customers correctly for what they're ordering. I've used ShipperHQ at multiple companies because of their ability to implement complex shipping logic (both on Shopify and Magento). It's crucial to show our customer the estimated delivery day at checkout, which is dynamically displayed based on MY business's shipping rules (same-day shipping cut off, blackout days, day of the week they order, etc) coupled with the carrier's real-time API. Their support team is very accessible and thorough. They are also open to adding features and functionality to their roadmap with a good use case! I could NOT do ecommerce without ShipperHQ.

ShipperHQ has the necessary tools to tackle any shipping task in shopify. IF you don't know how to pull it off, wonderful customer support, backed by a capable technical team, will be able to help you out. Be confident that you will have the support you need.

We've needed almost no technical support with the Shopify app, but when we needed it for Magento the ShipperHQ team was very helpful and responsive. It's one of the few must-have apps for our store.

Shipper HQ is the $hit. I've used a ton of shipping apps and SAAS offerings for various platforms over the last 20 years in ecommerce. This is by far the most thoughtful and most powerful one I've found. It's built smart, and is granular and modular enough to do accommodate nearly any complex shipping scenario you'll encounter. My peers have always touted ShipperHQ and now I know why.

Very Good app when it comes to solving complex issues of shipping, was able to use the meta fields for oversized shipping, point-to-point documentation, and great customer support. The delivery date and time features are just amazing to use in checkout.

ShpperHQ provides a simple interface to the complex problem of different types of shipping. We use ShipperHQ for their advanced features for dimension shipping that helps control our cost and be able to ship from multiple warehouses based upon where our inventory is located. Our setup was a little complicated, but their customer service staff was very helpful in setting up the shipping rules we needed.

Was easy to set up and customize based on our store's needs. Always had great customer service when we had any questions. The delivery date & time additional feature was also a great bonus!!

Lewis Kennedy from Support was such a fantastic help and crucial in fixing our shipping rate errors, he figured out what the problem was (not ShipperHQs problem either) and showed me step by step his process of what is causing the issue and how to solve it. Not just a great asset for ShipperHQ but Lewis is a great human, always willing to help me and doing it with the most positive attitude, it really goes a long way as I NEVER leave reviews, so that is saying something. the concept is just great. The way they have their different payment plans is based on the type of support you can receive as customer, which makes that you get a poor experience when wants to upgrade.

This app has so much possibility and the customer support is great but core concepts are missing and the development team is non existent.

ShipperHQ has a great app with the functionality our store needs PLUS an incredible customer service and support staff! They have walked us through some challenges we faced when switching shipping providers and made sure that everything was worked out all the way through the process. Martin has gone above and beyond for us and we are very thankful to be working with him and the ShipperHQ team!

We're just getting up and rolling with ShipperHQ, but have been very impressed so far. The team has been extremely helpful in setting up our integration and working through our shipping rules that can be pretty complicated. We ship goods ranging from the size of a dime up to truckloads of greenhouse frames, so calculating shipping has always been an issue. We're looking forward to solving that with ShipperHQ! Plus, we'll finally be able to offer freight quotes during checkout, something we haven't been able to do up to this point.

I have used this App to great effect on my site. I mostly wanted a tool that would allow us to ship only using selected services. We are only able to ship with express services so ShipperHQ allowed us to hide any other rates. On top of this, we use private couriers for certain regions, so ShipperHQ allowed us to hide other Shipping services for those postal codes, or delivery radiuses that could be services by our couriers. Lastly, we were able to select box dimensions and weights and preload all of our product weights so we can determine accurate shipping estimates and costs so we limit errors and shipping losses. It is very customizable with very knowledgable staff that are available to help us customize our service to tailor our needs.

We have been using Shipper HQ for around 7 months and we are very happy with the platform and their support team. We have a complex setup on Shopify (multiple stores, multiple fulfillment countries, etc.) and Shipper HQ has made it possible to not only handle product rating for all of our scenarios, but they have also allowed us to consolidate our entire admin and manage everything centrally. This has been a key tool for us to be able to manage shipping across 15+ stores. Their technical support team has been very responsive to any concerns we have had and have been available to walk us through the most complicated aspects of our specific setup. We would highly recommend Shipper HQ for any rating needs that can't be handled by Shopify natively.

The team at Shipper HQ walked me through the whole process, made sure to reach all my needs and made excellent recommendations to make shipping super easy. I agree with what people said here. This app has a steep, steep learning curve. I was very lost in reading their help docs. The customer service was quite poor. The guy wasn't patient and kept sending me help docs that were not helpful. It is an expensive app but did help me out.

This app has a steep, steep learning curve, that should have been my first sign that this app was just a bad idea and not well thought out from the start! Spent hours configuring it, and used it for about 1 week before the problems started resulting in 2 instances of lost revenue which is not okay. If you have Google channel with with automatic shipping for your Product feed settings, beware! This app does not push shipping rates through, and Google Merchant disapproved all of our product listings. We had to manually override and create rates on Google Merchant to fix this problem. That blip of 48 hours while trying to solve this resulted in losses. Then the app suddenly just stopped working one fine morning, and none of our customers were able to checkout with no shipping rates! This resulted in more losses. When I tried support they kept saying it was my settings, but I didn't change anything from one day to the next to result in it not returning rates! I have written in FIVE emails asking for a refund out of principal. None has been offered or issued so this app deserves no stars.

Poor customer support. I downloaded the app to try and it wouldn't allow me to log in. It just kept redirecting me to their homepage. I contacted support and was unable to test it out that day. Now that I am able to dedicate some time and try it again my trial (that didn't even last close to the 30 days advertised) no longer works and they expect me to start paying to get into the app for the first time. I contacted support again and asked them to extend it as I haven't even been able to log in and test and they said they would not. I could care less because I probably saved myself from having to deal with the CS in the future as well. Glad I learned before having to pay. Beware.

We use this app for about half of our online store shipping rate calculations (all calculations coming from our public store). We have found it quite attainable to create scenarios that match the scenarios that we are doing in other systems we use for rate calculations (including our ERP and private stores). The only this we wish could be maintained would be all the details of the shipments it has generated rates for and then to be able to query the app via API to suck all this information back in to our systems.

We've been using ShipperHQ for over 4 years, they are instrumental to our website and provide us a series of complex shipping rules so that we may provide fast and accurate shipping rates and services to our customers. Additionally the ShipperHQ team is a delight to work with, top class in every way!

Before using ShipperHQ we were losing around $1k/month on oversized shipments because we couldn’t get the dimensions and product packing to reflect how we were actually shipping, and that was causing up charges from our carrier. ShipperHQ’s dimensional packing feature helped us define exactly how we are packing our oversized and bulky products so that we weren’t over or undercharging customers. We could enter all of our boxes and assign them to specific products with rules for how we pack them. Now our rates are much more accurate. We don’t have to worry about under or overcharging customers no matter where we ship domestically or internationally. We have also been able to offer free shipping on select products and use the delivery date and time feature to show our customers estimated delivery times in the checkout and that’s given us a real competitive advantage. Definitely saving with ShipperHQ, and customer service was really responsive and helpful in getting things configured just right.

Thank you Shipper HQ for a great product and amazing customer service, special shout out to Dakota! I run e-comm for a boutique home furnishings site. We have always seen shipping as our biggest barrier from online sales, and Shipper HQ has finally come up with a solution. Besides having the white glove delivery partner, which was important to us, we have other complicated needs with several pickup locations, products with various lead times, etc. As a creative person, the Shipper HQ team helped me tremendously by breaking down an intimidating process into manageable steps, and the platform itself is quite easy to navigate. So yes, 5 stars!

I found the app very capable. Originally I came to the app to use metafields for inputting product dimensions. (Which is great!) Sadly if you are using dimensions for your products to generate shipping rates this app will not tell you the box sizes used for the real-time quotes and placed orders. The box sizes are NOT accessible by shipperhq website, shopify order attributes or notes or metafields, api, or any other way. This feature IS included on the other ~ 5 eCommerce platforms shipperhq supports but not shopify. Obviously this is extremely disappointing. Their staff told me that shopify isn't capable of holding box data (like in shopify order attributes or notes or metafields). I will let you decide for yourself if that is true. I don't think this app is very feasible to use because of this limitation with that regard.

Has a learning curve, but super powerful functionality and customizations. Support has been very helpful and responsive.

We've been using this app for months now on one of our sites. So far so good. It requires quite a bit of learning curve to setup but support is super awesome. They won't give up on you until you achieve what you're looking for. This is geared towards complex shipping rules that Shopify's native shipping functionality (and even some shipping rules apps) are not able to provide. Almost any shipping rules requirements you have can be done here. That said, this is for recommended for complex implementations (e.g., large catalog of products that have different shipping requirements, multiple carriers, etc.). We'll be implementing this on our other sites ASAP.

ShipperHQ is great! We've used it to solve two big problems. 1. Customers are now able to see real-time estimated delivery dates calculated by Fedex. We previously displayed a "3-6 business days" estimate. 2. We have some products that legally can't be sold in specific states. Restricting this at checkout used to to require complex Shopify Scripts written in Ruby. Setting these rules is much easier via ShipperHQ's admin.

I have been a customer for over ten years. I started using them way back when they only made an app for Magento. It just works, and frankly, I do not believe there is a better app to do the job. Shipping is complicated so the key is in your setup, but once you get it up and running, you will never have to think about it again.

Has great features. But none of them fully work for shopify. And support team has nothing but excuses. Appointment feature wont work, none of the advanced features. It basically will quote customer then that information is gone. Not posted anywhere, no traceability at all.

Through its robust carrier rules and segmentation, we have been able to present competitive shipping options that make sense for both our B2B and B2C customers. The date and time feature is a real differentiator in our industry. Technical support and overall customer service has been extremely helpful; both in the initial setup and overcoming technical obstacles. Great app!

Shipper HQ has been awesome. We have quite a few complex rules for oversize items, geographically restricted vendors, and needed custom rates for a courier. The level of customization we achieve for displaying shipping options at checkout has been exactly what we needed. Whenever we need to adjust dimensional or courier rules the process is simple and quick. Customer service is top-notch as well. Overall we have no complaints.

Indispensable. This is the ultimate shipping app. Showing customers the guaranteed delivery date with their rates has cut down on customer service calls and boosted conversion. Dimensional weight calculations are dead-on perfect. Finally... I cannot say enough great things about the level of support. ShipperHQ is the best. We used it for 5+ years on Magento and are so very happy to keep it now that we've migrated to Shopify.
