ZenBox: Bundle Builder

I’ve been experiencing the same bugs for quite some time, and they still appear unresolved. The most annoying part is that after updating the bundle multiple times, the bundle link returns a 404. And as a workaround, I copied the bundle. In addition, multilingual support is not yet available, which is an important feature for our use case. I hope these issues can be addressed in future updates. Thanks for sharing this detailed feedback. I have a gift box builder in place where customers step by step combine their own boxes with balloons, candy, stuffed animals. Easy for the customer and easy for me to see what I should put in the box on the order. Not a 5 star because of how complicated it is to set up. I understand there are many things that need to be set to make it work but it feels like it could have been done easier, maybe a more drag and drop situation or something. I am a very visual learner so I struggled a bit with the setup. Maybe some video tutorial provided in the setup could be helpful. I would not recommend. Really poor support (none). Although one of my questions was answered, the lack of support was dreadful. No answers for hours (at all) and the function does not work to book a 121 session. Total silence when I had quite simple queries. Have gone with a different app that can support me. We’re really sorry to hear about your experience. Our team did reach out several times to offer help and troubleshoot the issue, but we haven’t heard back yet. We’d still love the chance to make things right — if you’re open to it, please reply to our email or reinstall the app so we can take another look and get everything working smoothly for you.

The App is very useful and affordable for a small business. However, its very hard to understand how set it up and edit to make changes. Ron was very helpful and sent me videos so I could make the changes I needed, but it was a bit overwhelming. We have looked at soooo many apps to find the one that fits our needs perfectly. This is by far the cleanest looking, easiest to navigate that we have found. The only resolution offered was a $30 credit, which covers just one month. We've tried all of the bundle apps from the store and this is hands down the best value. It's probably has 90% functionality of all other apps with a reasonable pricing structure where you are not locked in paying for the revenue the app assisted to generate. After the new release, the app is not supporting to any 3rd party payment gateways. Also support is very bad and not helpful. Hi, thanks for your review. I use this app to create an experience for customers where they can feel like they are packing their own gift box to spoil someone special in their life. I've had very good support from the team with giving advise on how to use the app best. They even take the time to do video calls and screen sharing at a time convenient to their customers - even if that means very early hours for them. Update: More than 3 years using this app and there’s just nothing else like it. Great user experience. There's pretty much only one rule for software: if you're going to significantly change it, you need to warn your users with plenty of lead time. That's doubly true if you're removing a core feature. - This app no longer works with subscriptions, an absolutely core feature. Not only that, but they promoted this update for months via email, and never once mentioned that subscriptions would no longer be supported. - In fact, this very app page currently promotes the app as supporting subscriptions, which is false. They haven't even bothered to update this page. - Go to their website and search the term "subscription." What do you find? No mention anywhere that subscriptions are no longer supported. - After their update broke this core function of our website we spent days reaching out to them trying to figure out how to fix it, only to have our issue finally escalated to then be told 'yeah that features gone.' - No remorse, no apology, no 'oh oops, in our weeks of spam emails about this major update we forgot to mention that a core feature would be removed, sorry about breaking your website.' - It's obvious that they prioritized keeping clients paying over informing their clients, and decided to go for a "so sorry that happened" approach over a "heads up this is what's coming" approach. - Even if there is no way to continue to support subscriptions based on the new API (doubtful but let's assume) they should still notify everyone in advance that subscriptions will no longer be supported, it should be stated on their website at least somewhere, and it should be on this very app page, and certainly should no longer be promoted as supporting subscriptions on this page (!). - Sadly, I would not recommend trusting your business to this team, as there is no knowing when they'll pull the rug out from under you and your customers, and their practices of misrepresenting their features here as I type this, in addition to their decision not to forewarn users that subscriptions would be broken, are both inexcusable for any app. [UPDATED REPLY] Thanks for taking the time to write this honest review. We used this app to sell personalized jackets for our customers. We had a few steps in our “builder”. The first step was a content step, where we had a bunch of designs to highlight the product, and why it was great. The next steps were personalization, selecting a size, selecting a sleeve for embroidery, and then sharing the embroidered initials. All of the personalizations were then located in the notes section of the order. It was super easy for us to fulfill, and we avoided back-and-forth communication with our customers to get all the details within the shopping experience. Instead of the order coming through with the individual SKUS, they get added as "Notes" to some randomly generated new SKU. Way to ruin inventory tracking and make it impossible for fulfillment. DO NOT download this app - when it stops working, there is literally zero customer service. Zero response. We're scrambling to find a replacement since this is non-functioning and no one will get back to us after FOUR DAYS of repeated inquiries.

I attempted to use this app for my website, sugar-rushed.shop, now for about a month and have found it was very successful in the beginning but quickly began to fall apart with there being constant issues persisting with the app. This includes the main being a complete loss of functionality based on a neverending loading loop when accessing the product bundles setup using the app. I have waited and waited for support to help me in this matter but there is absolutely no support and this is starting to feel like highway robbery. DO NOT DOWNLOAD - THIS APP IS NOT SUPPORTED. From Shopify: "BoxBuilder: DIY Product Bundle is currently unsupported...it may not work as expected until the developer updates it. You can contact the developer for support or uninstall the app and find an alternative in the Shopify App Store." We've had this installed since October and it has gone down multiple times for large swaths of time. Their latest patch fails to load or fix the issues. Customer's are building boxes and then left hanging (it never actually gets to the checkout point), Super disappointed in the product and the "customer service". We're actively looking for a new app as there are/were too many problems over an extended period of time. Save yourself the aggravation and avoid BoxBuilder: DIY Product Bundle by Staytuned. I've had a great experience with BoxBuilder. It works really well for my build your own gift boxes. I like the wide selection of features and options, they're all are quite logical and easy to set up yourself. When I've struggled on my own, the Support team has been helpful and quick. I was VERY disappointed in their customer service. I started trying to get the app integrated into my online shop on March 27 and still did not have things working smoothly by May 2nd. We were up against a wall as we wanted to launch for Mother's Day and needed time to market the new product line and build awareness. On May 3rd, after not hearing back from them and having no resolve, I deleted the app and went with a different one that I had up and running by the next day with no issues. We lost sales and too many hours of my time working through the issues with this app. When I requested a refund for the month of April, because I was not able to use their product due to issues, I was told that their policy would not allow me to be refunded. Very unhappy and disappointed. Thanks for taking the time to write this detailed review. I'm disappointed that we couldn't meet your needs. I recognize and can understand why you'd feel frustrated after this experience. However, I have to admit that things look a little different from my perspective. My support team did their best to assist you, and after reviewing the entire case in detail, I believe they did their job well. Brilliant app and great customer service from Hamza! At first I thought this app wouldn't work for my business but there are so many options. Love it ;-) Add-on: after months of purchasing this app, I asked Rafael Arlo if he could help me with a problem I couldn't fix myself and he did so fast! I love the customer service of this app!

I will start by saying that we aren't live with this on our site, so I can't yet speak to how well it works over time. I am hopeful that it will be a great solution for us and hope that the team is able to work through the glitches and get their app humming along consistently. That being said, I tested out at least 30 similar type apps to try to find one that could do what we needed and this one is the ONLY one that checked all of the boxes for us. Some features that made this one stand out are: 1) the ability to show all of the variants individually as selections 2) the ability to select products by collection 3) the ability to create different selection criteria for each step of the box/kit/bundle creation. For instance, on step 1, a person can select 1 of the options, but on step 2, they can select 1-4 of the options 4) the ability to create forms that collect information throughout the box/kit/bundle building process 5) the ability to create customized tiered pricing depending on the items selected. 6) the ability to manage the product/variant inventory and have those updates reflect in the kit/box/bundles I have experienced some glitches as I've been testing it, but migrating to their newest "Simple & Fast" option did solve the primary issue I was facing. The support team has been very responsive, respectful, and helpful as I've had questions or run into problems. So I am hopeful this will be an integral part of our new website and help things run smoother on the front end and the backend. Hi team Pilla! We feel so seen (get it??) Extremely glitchy and comes up with an error page when adding to cart daily. We've been communicating with support and they haven't managed to solve the issue. They said it's due to: A: The store had likely manually deleted/edited the variants of the product included in the bundle B: The store made modifications/changes in the product that is included in the bundle. C: Numerous changes in the builder setting. Nothing has been done on our end. We've received many emails from customers about not being able to add the kit to cart.

"Do not use this app. it is not supported anymore. The bundle takes 8 minutes to be created." This was my first review. The team actually reached out to me to help me find solutions and they seem to be eager to fix their issues. I might give it a go in a few more weeks.

There is no support with this app and has a major glitch. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GET THIS APP.

Emailed support repeatedly over several weeks and get no response. Not acceptable when there are issues to fix & we're paying for an app to work.

The app is really user friendly and very straightforward to set up. I had a few issues with the design that needed coding and Hamza was so helpful in making these changes for me so it now looks beautiful and on-brand.

We used this app to create custom baby gift boxes and sale boxes. Customer service is quick and responvie and appworks well without bugs.

I'm using this app so customers can create their own craft kit. I really like how you can customize each step. Would recommend.

The app is fairly easy to use. Was able to setup some bundle products. But my issue is that I haven't been able to get support to respond to me about some of my issues. I've emailed them, but haven't received any responses. They also say there is a chat, but this feature doesn't appear anywhere for me. I essentially am having trouble with how the products show up in shipstation. The products come over as a product description instead of a line item of products in their bundle. So then we have to read through a paragraph of product names to try and figure out what needs to go in what box. If they came through as line items it would be 1000 times better.

I downloaded this app a few months ago and loved the look and feel of it, but couldn't figure out how to get it to work right for my store. So, I deleted it and tried 5 more apps (probably all of the custom box builder apps available on shopify). I was not happy with any of those, and downloaded this app again. I decided to reach out to customer service to help me. I was so shocked with the help I received. Hamza fixed my tech issues almost immediately, and he was super responsive to any of my questions. I give an A+ for communication and support! Add that to the fact that the builder is of great quality, I am very excited to use this in my store for years to come.

If you are looking to sell sets of items and have them appear as one product this is the solution for you. I have tried other apps and the ones that offered a similar service were extremely clunky to use compared to this app. I switch up products all the time so ease of use is very important. The customizability is great, but I wanted some custom changes and reached out to support. I reached Hamza and although we operated in different time zones he was responsive when necessary and made sure I was happy with the results. The excellent support and capability of this app is well worth the price tag.

We purchased boxbuilder for our 400+ products. What we like about this app: - ease of use/set up : everything is intuitive, you do not need to be an expert to configure the app. It's also quick to set up. - built-in options to customise the app the way you like - speed: we were afraid the app would lag or slow the process of choosing products to add in the bundle as we have several hundred products to chose from. But no issues there, the whole process is fast and working 100%. UX good. - kind support What we liked less about the app: so far, everything seems to be working fine so nothing to say here. There are a few cosmetic changes that we wish(ed) to make and that are not available in the options (font size, color this or that, buttons here or there, etc) but the app's support has been very responsive and making the code changes as we asked. ... so we do recommend boxbuilder, you can safely try it out! This is such a powerful application! There are lots of possibilities in it. I wanted something special with thes, I was looking for something to guide people by creating their own starterkit without getting options from products which doesn't communicate with each other. So for example: If someone choose 1, by next step they can only choose 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and if they have chosen for 2 at first step they will only see 2.1 and 2.2. This was a very complex thing for me so I asked for some help from their team. Hannes described a complete plan for me how te set this up. I only needed some help with the last steps to let it show up and work. I had a call with Lauralynn and she helped me very kind and well! There really is a wonderful team behind this application. Highly recommend this one, thanks to all!

In redoing our website we were looking for a bundle app that fit what we were trying to offer - some preset items and then allow the customer to select x amount of other items. I tried about 10 other bundle apps which only allowed an already assembled bundle - not what we wanted. I did find one other that did what we needed but it was more to pay per month and the interface presented to the customer was not as nice. I was absolutely in love with the graphic that is displayed while “building your box” was the icing on the cake for deciding to go with this app. Looking forward to hopefully future improvements where we can choose multiple variants of the same item using the single display option.

I spent hours and hours of time trying to find a "bundling" app that let me have options to choose different products. Most bundling apps seem to let you make a new product that gives the customer extremely preset options, if there are even options at all. With this app, we have given the customer the ability to build their own suspension kits for their vehicles, choosing from different brands and only selecting the products that they feel they need for their vehicle. The support was very helpful getting the colours and style to match our aesthetic and after a few emails back and forth, Hamza got our colours perfect, and we are very happy with how everything works and looks. Very happy with this app so far!

Yes, it's technology. But the difference here is 100% the people behind this APP! They are amazingly helpful. Punctual and informative troubleshooters. Seemingly able to make any tweak needed. Perfect app for gift bundles! I tried so many apps (about 15 apps) but none of them met my expectations 100%. I installed the app for 7 days free trial. During this time Jalal gave us an immediate response to all our requests including adjustments to RTL. Excellent service and it is not obvious that Jalal will make adjustments and invest a lot of time without any commitment on our part to pay for the service.
