The app works as advertised for the most part, but there's a serious issue every merchant should know about before installing. In December, my store was hit with 10 fraudulent gift card orders totaling over $3,200. Shopify flagged all of them as fraudulent, I canceled every gift card, and none were ever redeemed. Despite all of that, Gift Card Pro still charged me $85 in usage fees on those fraudulent, never-redeemed gift cards. When I reached out to support asking for a refund of the fees, they did not address the refund request at all. Instead, they told me a fraud protection setting wasn't enabled in my account and pointed me to their documentation. No refund, no credit, no acknowledgment that charging fees on confirmed fraud where the cards were never used isn't reasonable. If you're a merchant considering this app, understand that: - The 2.5% volume fee applies to every gift card sold, including fraudulent ones. - Their fraud protection is opt-in and not enabled by default. - If fraud slips through, you'll pay fees on top of your chargeback losses with no recourse. Unfortunately, we have to change our rating for the app. Everything worked as desired for quite some time. But suddenly, no more vouchers were arriving by email, neither for the recipient nor the sender. We contacted support about this, but unfortunately the help we received was very disappointing. The whole thing dragged on for a whole week and we quickly realized that we weren't going to get any help here. Since lots of vouchers are always bought at Christmas, we quickly decided to switch apps. All the best for the future! From Germany
Great app! Really customisable, provides really good features for customers and for admin/creators. Support team is amazing, quick, really keen to help and to get things going. Definitely recommend!

Used this app for multiple years. Support team has been responsive to our needs (and dumb questions ). This review is way overdue but happy to say its been a positive experience.
Gift Card Pro is an outstanding app with perfect usability and an intuitive interface. Everything works seamlessly, making it incredibly easy to set up and use. The customer service and support team are truly amazing—quick, helpful, and always ready to assist. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly gift card solution!
Unfortunately, have struggled with Gift Card Pro. Customer service doesnt' respond. The system does not integrate well with Shopify so balances aren't recorded correclty making accounting very difficult. Sales datas are not accurate. Overall, do not recommend this app

Hello, Thank you for your feedback here. As noted previously, there is a bug in Shopify Reports that doesn't pull through gift cards generated by 3rd party apps (all apps) and account for them properly as liabilities. We've reached out to Shopify numerous times about this but have not heard back, so we have been in the process of building a reports system ourselves. This is an amazing program. Very easy to install and use. Another big plus is the service...absolutely fantastic. We have a big customer and needed a bit of help with a giant order and they responded quickly and sent videos showing exactly what we needed to do...multiple times. I'd give 6 stars.
Easy to use and customizable integration with my Shopify store. As an added bonus, their support staff is incredibly helpful and even helped find better ways for us to handle our rendering of our gift cards. Highly recommend this app!

We have been using Gift Card Pro for a couple of months so far and it's been nothing but great. The setup is easy and Tim and his team were very helpful in addressing any technical question or concern. The main reason for selecting Gift Card Pro was that we found the end-user interface to be very user-friendly, interactive, visual and engaging. Also, the business model is fair - you basically pay on demand and can scale as needed. We can't wait for the holiday season to give it a push. Highly recommended.

Fantastic app that allowed us to turn on gift cards for our customers almost immediately! Now we're able to capture sales from our customers after holiday shipping cutoffs hit, increasing our revenue. The custom designs features were well received too. I highly recommend!
This is a stellar and quite simply essential app. It has answered all of the functional deficiencies posed by the native gift card solution and is ably supported by the team at Gist. Great app with AMAZING customer service. Was having trouble with a sale and upon reaching out for support, we got a response almost immediately. Tim was quick to help us out with some other small issues as well as advising some best practices which he helpfully set up for us. If your store is not yet offering E-gift cards, I highly recommend Gift Card Pro . Well worth the $!
Really helpful team. We had a small issue with the video upload option (button not showing) but spoke with support and they rectified it quickly. They also advised some 'best practices' and installed the code to make this possible too. Id highly recommend!
This app has been so helpful on our site! We didn't offer online gift cards for a while because the built-in Shopify product just didn't make sense for customers. We didn't love other solutions we'd found -- until Gift Card Pro! This app was easy & flexible to set up, and most importantly it is smooth for our customers. Recently, we requested some help on a component. Not only was the customer service quick, but also proactive! They implemented other improvements that caught their eye and sent us a helpful overview explaining what/where/why. Thanks to the Gist team.

Amazing team and amazing products!! Our store is all about Gist. We already have GiftShip (which is awesome!) and now we have Gift Card Pro on our store and they are both awesome! Gift Card Pro is a cool feature because our clients have a fun way of sending their clients gift cards via email rather than just buying a boring gift card from our store and sharing the code. The app installed easily right out of the gate and provides a great gift card experience to our customers! Also, customer service has been great (thanks Tim)! We needed some customizations done, and Tim did them same day. He also made some suggestions on how to improve the flow, which I really appreciated! The features that this app provides us should be provided by Shopify. I'm very unhappy that Shopify + members have to resort to an app for something so basic. But if you want your customers to send gift cards directly to recipients, Gift Cards Pro is the app that can make it happen!
This app is all I have been looking for in a gift card app. Very user-friendly and the price and functionality are right in line with where they should be. Support is very responsive and helped with the formatting of my theme. HIGHLY recommend!
I installed this app on 3 websites to provide an elevated virtual gift card experience- schedule send, choose a gift card image, personal note, etc. I contacted support with a few configuration issues/questions and received super helpful hands-on support from Tim. He answered loads of questions and helped with some customizations to help make gift cards seamless with our theme and elevate the experience. We are very excited to launch this product and impressed by Tim's support!

We use multiple apps from Gist in our store (Wholester, Gift Ship, and now Gift Card Pro) and love how easy they are to set up, and to receive support when necessary. This app allows Shopify stores to send gift cards directly to recipients, to customize the email flows, and even to allow video notes sent with the cards! Wonderful app.
Our previous gift card program felt antiquated in its approach to both the sender and the recipient experience. We switched over to Gift Card Pro in hopes that we could provide a more feature-rich offering and it didn't disappoint! The GCP team is also incredibly helpful and willing to provide assistance however they can, even going so far as to be proactive about optimizations that can be made on a site. I highly recommend!

This gift card app is great - in both form and function! It's only been up a short time, so we'll see how customers like it, but we're excited about it. A major upgrade from Shopify's basic gift cards! Tim is AMAZING, both quick to respond, kind, and down to earth. Very happy.

Gift Card Pro is a game-changer! It is much better than the other gift card apps we have tried in the past. The two features we have used the most are the scheduling of the e-gift cards and attaching a personal video! No others I know offer the ability to send a personal video. We are looking forward to the new enhancements coming soon!

Wow, I have been looking for over a year for a gift card app that integrates nicely with shopify, it has finally arrived with gift card pro! The support is 10/10 and everything gist has done is spot on what I needed for a seamless gift card purchasing experience
I use this app so that the customers can write an enclosure to the recipient when they buy the card. Lots of customization and very good support. I work for a high end nursery/gift store and we are very picky aesthetically. We are very happy with their clean and clear interface.
We installed this app to enable customers to purchase and send gift cards to recipient emails, and to schedule when they were delivered. We did not have the ability to do this on our Shopify store. I was under a deadline to get the app working so we could advertise gift cards in an SMS campaign the next day. Tim worked with me to address my issues, even going as far as hopping on a Zoom call to walk me through the configuration questions I had. Out of all the 3rd party apps we have installed on our store, Gift Card Pro definitely has the best customer service. It's so rare that I get a same-day response, let alone within minutes.
These guys are the real deal. Great customer service, and tech support that stays with it until the problem is solved. 5 stars all day long.

A fantastic app that is exactly what I was looking for E Gift Vouchers. A snippet of a commission rate is ideal and the customer service from Tim is top notch with any tweaks. Can definitely recommend
What an amazing app! Before, selling Gift Cards was very cumbersome for our customers. They had to purchase the card then email it to the recipient, not very "gifty". With Gift Card Pro our customers can choose the card that fits their occasion and style, pick the amount they feel comfortable with and it sends directly from our store. The best part is the gifter can record a video and really personalize the experience. The team at Gift Card Pro was so helpful in setting things up and making sure the app worked right. I highly recommend this app to everyone!

Takes gift cards to another LEVEL! Great UX both on mobile and desktop. A very well build app and highly recommenced to anyone already offering gift cards or within the gifting space.
Much more robust compared to Shopify´s native gift card functionality. Tim´s customer service elevates the standard as to what to expect from other apps.
Everything you want out of digital gift cards! This brings the gifting experience to a new much more personal level. Love what the app does and support has been great!

We just installed the app, so its new. But the features it offers seem like no brainers when it comes to Gift cards; sending directly to recipient, custom amounts & video messaging.
