Sign In and google doesn't recognise any of it. An endless loop of "passkey". Google AI is still in pre-school hopefully they'll teach it something. Reviews need to introduce negative stars!
Same problem as everyone else. Misrepresentation. They flat out refuse to help with this. While you're trying to figure out what they want repaired you break 10 more things. Congress should finally step in and take this kind of power away from these people. They are destroying small businesses while propping up multi-billion dollar companies. I encourage everyone to write and call your representatives in your state. This will not remedy itself. And the truth is, Google gave all their power to AI and they don't know what's causing the Misrepresentation. That is why we get copy/paste answers. They have no idea what is wrong, and they refuse to offer customer support. The same support and transparency they demand from sellers. Contact your reps. Call them every day until they break up this monopoly.
I hate this App, i installed it and it more information from me, next it was going to ask for blood and fingerprints. The main reason i hate this app is that it put my shop items, all of them listed as OUT OF STOCK for 12 days. it will override you in stock quantity, showing on shopify you have items in stock while showing on your website out of stock. i hate this app, never really worked and you have to spend more time trying to set it up then planning a wedding. dont waste your time.
Too bad there is no way to leave a zero star review. Don't expect to get real help when all your items go invisible. I am on my 5th month and the technical team is diligently working on my issue? Errors and ZZ and feed USD no US. Seems like they really could care less....
It is corrupt trash. Look up the mass arbitrations being filed against Google. They have been overcharging merchants for years. Their agreement makes it where you can't sue them when they cheat you. If you have been using Google Ads, get your money back. Avoid falling into their trap.
Same misrepresentation issue as another user, but no clear answer as to what specific rule my specific store was failing at. I have setup everything legititmately through my country, state, and county and properly with publishers and distributors. I don't do discounts nor special offers, so nothing to misrepresent there. Shipping is stated plainly during checkout. I don't ship internationally, so that scope is small and limited to the US. No idea what Google is on about with this misrepresentation stuff. I never ended up getting any products posted after a year of trying to figure this out. I did an appeal to which they then suspended me without providing a reason that was specific to my store. No idea.
Keeps telling me to verify the tag setup. I believe its correct but not 100% sure.
It completely messes up your shipping settings in Merchant Center!
Terrible, my GMC account was suspended for "misrepresentation". I asked over and over what they meant by that, how and what did I misrepresent about the product/s? never a clear answer, or answer that I could use to fix things. So after a few months of this nonsense setting up twice over only to be suspended again, I refused to continue trying, I refused to jump through unnecessary hoops. Nope, my time is valuable and I am not wasting it on useless endeavours. I cancelled my Google ads account in response to the nonsense they wanted to put me through. There are better platforms and channels. The overall rating of 4.5 is hard to believe.
everything was going great , I was starting to make sales and understanding the application , had google merchant and google ads running , was in the green everywhere and the suddenly and out of nowhere there algorithms went bunker , blocked my account saying I was making false and misleading advertising on google search , of course that part is in sync with my store and I cannot even control it . so I thought that a little appeal would make it all good again . No , a couple hours later I get that a human as made a review of my store ( yeah right , even is answer stinker like robot waste)and I'm not ok . so I went down the whole list of possible problems in there help center that could have created that , because they won't tell the problem , of course they won't , they have no idea . worked with gemini (google's AI ) about 90 hours to make everything perfect . Didn't pass again , weird but same e-mail to the exact words . so I ask for a real human review , they told me to make my last appeal and they would escalate my case higher up . bunch of lies , the answer , you are no permanently suspended from google without possible chance to appeal again . where is my humain review , answer : we cannot tell you exactly what caused your suspension due to our policy . FU#K YOU . I am a registered business man and I never was treated like this ... ridiculous , lying , no human never checked nothing .
Incredible? 29.07.2026: feed is frozen in a 21-22.07.2026 status. App support asks to manual resync product by product (>15000 products). This is stupid and offensive for me. You should be ashamed of how broken the entire environment is: google app, shopify, ga4, ads, merchant. Think first, test and then implement. Nothing works as presented to work. This was December 7 2025. 6 months later (4th of June 2026) it is even worse. I cannot believe anyone can be payed to respond as they do. 5.06.26 Still in circle while Google support and Shopify support think Catch22 and Kafka are not familiar to us. We know about them. We used to read instead of ticketing you. 4.07.26 Still incorrect. It creates a new container, new tag at each disconnect. Wich needs to be merged with old tag for stream purpose. Which means it blocks twice each page and not populate correctly every single time. It does not sync with actual setup; it creates numerous containers, never clears up the integration. Lack of actual support. Nobody is doing anything. Just re-iterating old online generic answers.
Absolutely terrible experience. Products exist in Merchant Center, but the Shopify channel randomly shows 0 products. Then thousands of products disappear without any explanation, warning, or history log. Nobody can tell you what happened or which products were removed. The AI support bot is basically useless. It acts like it is helping, but all it does is repeat the same meaningless suggestions and send you in circles. It’s day one, and I’m guessing that in the next few days I’ll get an email from Google citing "misrepresentation" and banning my GMC and Ads accounts—fucking hell.
Dreadful. Google keep declining my products, giving me warnings and suspending my account for ' sale of live animals' This is utter nonscience, I have emailed many times asking for an explanation and advice on how to correct the problems I'm experiencing but of course they fail to provide and reply or support. Ay this point I have lost all respect for google and its staff members.
I have had non-stop trouble with Google Merchant. I have a very long-running YT channel (16 years) and 5 major websites. I loaded every possible disclaimer, return policy, and anything else Google demanded. It worked fine for a while and then...poof. Gone. "Your Google Merchant account is suspended for TOS..." So I dig around, add more return policies etc in every website possible. It works for a few weeks and then...poof. 60+ hours wasted. I decided to terminate my Google Merchant account. What a waste of time. But wait...there's more. To top it off, Google now says my Google Ads account is suspended because my Google Merchant (GM) account is suspended. I jump through hoops to tell Google that I deleted my GM account. My Google Ads account is re-instated...for about 3 weeks. Then the bot says "Suspended..." So I do this absurd cycle for 6 freakin months. Google cannot/will not fix this. They won't tell me EXACTLY what is wrong with my GM account. So, in the end, I gave this a "Google is a horrible, negligent business 'partner'" rating. Endless emails to Google are responded with robot/AI responses. If there's a human behind it, it's impossible to tell. "Just look at our TOS and comply...." Lol. I've seen $20M businesses have their GM accounts suspended with the same problems. FYI - I run multiple businesses, YT channels, etc. and this was by far the worst experience. Hope it works better for you, YMMV, best of luck.
many problems to set up and sync whit your feeds, updates don't 100% online
Too slow in approving your products plus the majority of items they disapprove for missing color, gender, size, etc. Too much hassle to fix. On Shopify end everything is correct.
After getting the app connected it only added 19 items to our Google Merchant account, out of over 250. I have verified that all the items have the Google / YouTube sales channel enabled. This plugin doesn't work and show be removed from Shopify.
They provide Zero Support. you pay thousands of euros per years on ads and when it come to support related to the app, they tell you hire a develper ! so why this is ur app and u have the access ! it is like they provide google ads support that is not related to the app, dont waste your time waiting for there answer. AI answers are exactly the same.
The Google Customer Reviews integration is extremely frustrating and appears undercooked for Shopify’s current checkout architecture. The “Google Customer Reviews” opt-in block can be added to the Thank You page, but the block itself instructs merchants to install a “Google survey extension” — which does not appear to exist anywhere in the Shopify App Store or inside the Google & YouTube app. The integration also appears to struggle with Merchant Center parent/child account structures. Stores using a Merchant Center MCA with sub-accounts may find that the app connects ambiguously or fails to render the correct Customer Reviews opt-in, even where the correct sub-account has Google Customer Reviews enabled. Most concerningly, Google’s own support response was to tell us to manually install Google Customer Reviews JavaScript on Shopify’s checkout Thank You page. That is not a practical answer: Shopify’s upgraded Thank You / Order Status pages do not allow arbitrary checkout scripts, which is precisely why this app block is supposed to exist. In short: the advertised Customer Reviews integration does not appear reliable, the instructions inside the block are unclear, and support seems to provide legacy script advice that is incompatible with modern Shopify checkout.

We installed this app, and then a few days later, we found a campaign set up in Google Ads for a $13,000 a day spend. I have two-factor authentication on my email/login, so this is the ONLY thing connected to my Google Ads. It said that I was the one who created the campaigns...But I have not even logged into Google Ads in weeks. Also, when we installed this app the first time, I immediately uninstalled it as it did not work for what I needed. It wiped out our Google Analytics tag, and we were down for days. My developers and marketing people convinced me to reinstall it and just use it for analytics, Merchant Center, etc. So far I am NOT happy!!!!!
Absolutely Terrible! I have been creating Shopify stores for over 15 years now. This app automatically syncs your products and SEO data, which sounds great. But WATCH OUT! If your Shopify created products do not meet Google's misrepresentation policies your Merchant account will get done for misrepresentation. Not only will Google not tell you why, their help is non existent. You are left pulling your hair out trying to work out where your products are not meeting their standard. You only get 3 strikes, and no feedback! Here is the real hit though, while your account is paused the sync does not work. Absolutely terrible! I resorted to deleting my merchant account, and placing a pixel the old fashioned way.
Updates have remained stalled, and no solutions have been provided. Awful customer service
Rezillik. Ürünlerinizin barkod bilgileri olmasına rağmen merchant center ürünlerinizi GTIN YOK olarak işaretliyor. tek tek yüzlerce ürününüze manual olarak ürün gtin barkodlarını girmeniz gerekiyor. Varyantlı ürünleri merchant centera gönderemiyorsunuz ve ayarlara müdahale edemiyorsunuz. çok kritik problemleri var.
Stay away from this app. Syncing product changes, prices, inventory, and availability is a joke. In our case, these simple updates have remained stalled for WEEKS, affecting product visibility, advertising performance, and revenue. This app wastes merchants’ time and money instead of helping them. The worst part is the complete lack of accountability shown by both Google and Shopify. Support hides behind useless template replies, keeps asking for the same screenshots, and shifts the focus back to the merchant even when the issue clearly sits within their own app connection. This is unacceptable for an app backed by Google and offered through the Shopify marketplace. Google and Shopify need to fix the app properly and offer something that honours what merchants should be able to expect from reputable names, not the low level of development and customer service they are showing with this app.
I am surprised that an API between Google and Shopify is so buggy and lacking in features. The support for this app is severely lacking.
horrible experience. does not say why dissaprovals? sicking time waste
It's rubbish, I'm using your own app to connect using the shopify API and you're telling me my website doesn't exist through automated checks, why or how is this so bad?
Fix issues of misrepresentation is not any way of telling me what exactly I'm doing wrong. I'm a dropshipper and have no control over missing product information. Google was active for my shopify store but keeps my products unseen later for mystery policy violations. The fix issues buttons don't help fix issues.
Application non fonctionnelle, support inexistant. Les produits s'ajoutent partiellement à GMC puis plus aucune mise à jour. Google ne récupère que 10% des données (ajouts paniers, conversions etc). Problème de communication entre Shopify et l'application.
7 year old existing Google Merchant/Ads Account suspended 3 days after installing this app and connecting... Finally after 2 months of appeals, got account working... Only to be promptly suspended 4 days later for 'misrepresentation'. its been an additional 2 months of stupidity. No Support - they keep copy-pasting vague crap that does nothing to tell you what some stupid AI flagged your website for. No specifics - just 'read the policy' and 'fix your website'. Now Google Merchant/Ads account permanently banned because I appealed their stupidity 3 times... Avoid this app... There is absolutely NO SUPPORT and they will ban you for any stupid reason they can think up and then not help you resolve the issue they created!
Title: Completely Broken Integration, Zero Feedback, Zero Support This is by far the worst Shopify sales channel I have ever used. The Google & YouTube app gives the illusion that everything is connected and working, but behind the scenes, nothing actually functions. Products can be active, published, priced, categorized, correctly configured with all required Google metafields, shipping, weight, and inventory — and yet Google Merchant Center receives absolutely nothing. No products, no timestamps, no diagnostics, no errors. Just silence. The most unacceptable part is that the system provides no feedback at all when the feed does not push. Merchant Center simply shows “0 products” with no explanation, and the Shopify app gives no warnings, logs, or troubleshooting tools. You are left guessing whether the problem is configuration, Google, Shopify, or the app itself. Support is essentially nonexistent. There is no clear documentation for edge cases like small catalogs or single‑product stores, no way to manually force a feed refresh, and no meaningful error reporting. You can waste hours or days doing everything “correctly” only to find out the integration never fired in the first place. This app feels designed exclusively for large bulk merchants and completely hostile to small or careful sellers. A production‑level sales channel should never fail silently. This is not a minor bug — it is a fundamental design failure. Avoid this app unless you are prepared for frustration, wasted time, and zero transparency.
They blocked my account for "misinterpretation" without giving any indication of what kind of problems were present
This app is terrible. It says everything is connected, but in reality conversions and audiences are not being tracked. I basically wasted €800 on Google Ads. I've been trying to figure out what to fix and where for two weeks now. I started digging deeper and found that in the app the correct Google Ads account is connected, but in the code it's actually a completely different one. At this point I have no idea what to do anymore. This is just awful!!!
My store is flagged as misrepresentation by this app, I have happy customers and 5 star reviews. Google support is a joke.
Absolutely horrendous, AI-slop, Blackbox software. This is absolutely riddled with false-positive issues, inconsistent data, incomplete data being pushed to GMC and really provides no useful functionality from the app side. Your data will be corrupt when it's pushed to GMC and end up with "missing images" or "missing descriptions" or unuseable products. Avoid at all costs.
We sell a mix of digital and physical products and this app is just a disaster. Leaves behind a merchant center with tons of wrong configured products and as you have absolutely no control of whats going on, there is not much you can do about it. Stay away if you want to have any sort of control, of whats actually going on in your shop.
Now that Shopify insanely got rid of being able to click on the Google shopping app within a product page to edit Google info, they're instructing people to do it from the Google app. Oh, but you can *only* do a bulk edit. So, if you have 10,000 variants, good luck on getting that to work. Taking away the ability to click and edit Google shopping channel info within a product page has to be one of the most ridiculous decisions Shopify has made in a while. If you want to edit all of the Google shopping information and can't use bulk edit there, now it's like 10 steps to do the same thing. Absolute travesty that nobody seems to care about because apparently, AI is the most important thing ever now. Be better, you completely destroyed my workflow. Good job.
This app has disconnected itself from my Shopify store. The links do not work either to be able to decipher yourself what might be wrong.
Developer reply ·
Hi - we had an outage yesterday that affected the Google & YouTube UI, which resulted in certain links or modules not loading properly. Rest assured, no product syncing or ad campaigns were affected during this outage, it was only an issue with loading the app on Shopify and may have shown itself as broken links, blank pages, or missing modules. This was resolved after about an hour and you shouldn't have any issues today. I also took the time to personally check your shop's integration and nothing was disconnected, and product updates still worked during this outage window. We apologize for the interruption!
There are problems with the layout, and unfortunately the support is poor. I didn't expect this from Google
We’re using this plugin to track Google Ads conversions, but we’re experiencing an issue with incorrect conversion values. For example, the actual order value is $160, yet the conversion value shown in Google Ads is consistently recorded as $1. We’ve reached out to both the plugin’s support team and Google Ads support. However, both sides have responded that the issue falls outside their scope of support, meaning they’re unable to help us resolve it. So far, we haven’t been able to find anyone who can provide meaningful technical assistance. The responses we’ve received have been rather dismissive, simply stating that they cannot address the problem.
Saying we’re selling something on an app or channel we’ve never even used doesn’t make sense. We actively sell on other platforms, but Google Merchant and Google Ads haven’t been a good fit for a new business trying to scale. In our experience, Facebook is more user-friendly and offers better customer support, making it a stronger option for growing brands.
Bad experience. Our account has been stuck in misrepresentation for 3 months for no reason!!!. although we are expert with Google Merchant Center, but their support has been very unhelpful and they are wasting our time, money, and effort.
DO NOT USE THIS APP. This app is incomplete and has major uncorrected defects. The support team google has put on this app doesn't support it and creates additional issues. Further, with its limited functions, it will lead you into a dead-end. Based on our experience using Google Merchant for a decade, do not use this app.
WARNING: This app is a disaster for established business owners. After 13 years of building a global presence and selling to 48 countries, this app "force-created" a brand new account instead of connecting to my existing Merchant account. Years of history, reviews, and vital business data are just gone—"POFF." We have been trying to reach support for several days with zero response. If you value your legacy data and your global business operations, STAY AWAY until they fix this account migration bug. Extremely disappointed.

Hi! It only creates a new merchant center account if 1) You don't see your existing merchant center account in the dropdown and 2) You click "Create New Merchant Center Account" at this step The selection box with existing merchant center accounts populates when the Google Account you use during the Google & YouTube App is an admin of an existing merchant center account. We can help you link your existing merchant center account - it's not gone or deleted! Steps you can try: 1) Make sure the Google account you used on the app onboarding step 1 is an admin on your existing merchant center account. It must be a user on the account AND have the admin role assigned to it 2) It must be a user on the actual merchant center account, not a higher level MCA that inherits user roles. If this is the case, just send us a note here with the account you want to connect to and we can help https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/shopify_3p_support_app I did find your original ticket but the account you asked us to connect to is an MCA account, not an MCID, so it can't hold products directly, you'll need to ask us to connect an actual Merchant Center Account instead. I can reply to you on your ticket.
Stay far away from this app. It has made my life a nightmare. Yes, I understand there are dishonest people out there, but there are plenty of honest people too. I have spent a month fixing and patching and reading and running in circles. Now my merchant center is messed up and google ads stopped because my account is suspended. I, like many are thoroughly frustrated with Google and it lack of user-friendly features. This app is the icing on a really bad cake. I am surprised at Google. I hope thus review is published and I hope it saves others from the unnecessary pain cause by Google and this app.
Getting products setup for shopify is a nightmare. Doesnt work at all. Tried doing everything manually and was a waste of time as well.
Developer reply ·
Hi - it looks like you haven't completed setting up the app yet. I'm not seeing your steps marked as completed, which means we can't initiate the merchant center product sync. If you see the steps all completed when you log in, could you send us a support case so we can help? Contact Us in the app or use this form to create a case: https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/shopify_3p_support_app
My Google Merchant Center, like others, was suspended after I installed it for “misrepresentation.” Unfortunately, there’s no support available on how to fix the issue.
an absolute nightmare, I spent over a week trying fixing issues for all the products and variations, while every thing looks up to date and detailed on Shopify like prices, age, gender, shipping details and colors yet you get all these errors on the Merchant page and that will result in getting your account suspended. the support is not that helpful either, they just gave links to visit and not clear what do i need to do to fix all the errors. i believe it is a problem of sync. am reaching the point of stop using it and stop trying to connect my store.
Developer reply ·
Hi! I don't see you having completed onboarding of the app yet, so the product sync isn't even running right now. When I look back in history when you first installed, I do see a TON of products loaded, pending review, then approved for display. There were a few that were limited due to price mismatches or shipping, but this was a tiny subset, and most were just awaiting a new recrawl and not disapproved. I also didn't see any support cases - we have specialized agents trained in the product sync that can help so you don't have to spend hours figuring it out yourself! The most recent support case was regarding the account suspension warning, not product sync, which is why they sent the links on that flow to request a re-review of your account. If you turn the product sync back on, let some products come through, (and make sure you set your markets to only ones you sell to to limit offer overload, currency mismatches, and shipping region errors, which is what I assume was the case the first time around), then you can contact us to help you through it pretty quickly.

Our Google Marchant Center got suspended after installing for "Misrepresentation" Fix Issue: Provided name: ABC Company Used name: abccompany.com Business Info in GMC, Store Name in shopify, etc is ABC Company (not abccompany.com) GMC & Google Ads Support are not helpful at all It's happening to other people also https://support.google.com/google-ads/thread/342462994/google-merchant-center-added-products-and-reports-invalid-business-name?hl=en
Products are in Merchant Center but shows "0 products" in the Shopify app sales channel. Products then randomly drop out of Merchant Center into the void, not showing up in "Needs Attention" and with no history of what products are gone or what happened. The AI chatbot pretends to be helpful, knows nothing and displays over the buttons it tells you to push. I'll just count Merchant Center out of my business plan because this is literally the worst-engineered app I have ever had the displeasure of needing to use.

I was directed to this app from Google Analytics. just want to use GA4, but the app forces you to select a YouTube channel first (I don't have one). GA4 shows alternative instructions, but they're telling me to navigate to the "settings page." Unfortunately, there isn't one. They don't even know how their own app works!
Developer reply ·
Sorry this was confusing. You can just click past that "Connect your YouTube" step and complete onboarding. Then the Settings tab appears like normal. You aren't required to connect a non-existent YouTube Channel. You aren't required to connect anything really if all you want is GA4.
After complaining a year ago, this app is still incredibly glitchy and does not appear to be syncing correctly with the Google Merchant Centre (GMC). I still have old products showing up on GMC - and subsequently Google pages - despite me archiving them in my Shopify backend and removing them on the GMC...only for them to reappear on GMC. Now my new products aren't syncing correctly to GMC and I can't re-verify my website...nonsensical behaviour again so have had to reach out to Google Support...again. If I could give -10/10 for this app I would.
Developer reply ·
We are sorry to hear you are still experiencing these persistent syncing and verification issues with the app. To investigate this further and work toward a resolution, could you please submit a support case? Once you have opened a case, please provide specific item examples including product id and variant ids for the following situations you've described: - Scenario 1: Items that have been deleted or archived in Shopify but are still appearing in your Google Merchant Center. - Scenario 2: Items that were deleted in Shopify, manually removed from GMC, but have since been subsequently re-added to GMC. - Scenario 3: New products that have been added or updated in Shopify but are not syncing or reflecting those updates in GMC. Please log your case: https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/shopify_3p_support_app with our dedicated support team we look forward to assisting you further.
Over the past few months, I have been extremely frustrated with the app. Despite selecting manual product sync, it continues to push products to Google Merchant Center, which is negatively impacting our performance marketing. I request you to please fix this issue at the earliest.
Developer reply ·
Thank you for reaching out regarding your synchronization settings. We can confirm that switching to manual sync is designed to halt the automatic synchronization process. We looked into your situation, and weren't able to find a support case filed for this. After investigating your account, we discovered that the manual sync request failed due to an unusually high volume of store status updates. While we haven’t encountered this specific issue before, we have now manually updated the setting for you. Your account is now set to manual sync, and the issue is fully resolved. Happy New Year The Google Support Team

Hello, We regret that your experience with our application has been unsatisfactory. We are eager to provide assistance and invite you to reach out to us directly through our support channel: https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/shopify_3p_support_app. Alternatively, feel free to include additional details in an updated review so that we may better address your concerns.
Everything was explained clearly, but the account was still locked. Some websites wouldn't even load but were still approved and running on Google Shopping. The service is terrible, with no one to support or resolve the issue. Does anyone have any other advertising solutions besides this awful one?
I’m extremely disappointed with this app. For a full year, I’ve been stuck in a loop of suspension and generic “Misrepresentation” messages. The app offers no real insight, no manual review, and no actual help. It just keeps generating the same template messages over and over. I’ve fixed everything on my store, followed every policy, and still no progress. If you expect real support or human review, this app won’t give it to you. Totally unhelpful and incredibly frustrating.
App is inaccurate and confusing. Google support told me this app automatically adds GA tracking code, but in that case how do we prevent double reporting with our Tag Manager, which we need for other scripts? They were unsure. Google support also doesn't seem to understand that ShopifyPlus users no longer have any access to our checkout code. There is also a warning about "mistakenly added tags" but trying to fix it is very complex, and so far ineffective. In addition, The Google Merchant Center widget says we have 0 products / 0 approved when in fact we have 100s of live products listed there. The only "Suggestion" from the app? Increase spend. gee thanks.

Avoid this platform if you value sanity. Nothing is consistent: one typo and the entire feed stops syncing, then you get flagged as if it’s your fault. The rules are vague, enforcement is random, and customer support recycles canned answers that solve nothing (via email, no phone, no chat, days of waiting and waste of time for no help etc...). You follow the documentation line by line, it still fails, and then you’re punished for “non-compliance.” It’s a trap of moving goalposts and zero accountability—not a place for anyone who needs reliability. Basic tasks spiral into endless loops: sync → error → appeal → repeat. The system penalizes microscopic formatting differences while ignoring its own bugs. They demand millimeter-perfect standards from you, yet don’t hold themselves to the same—a terrible example. Miss a single character, the feed won’t refresh; fix it, and you get a new unexplained rejection. You don’t even know if they’ll ban you because the Shopify feed refresh lags a few minutes—delays outside your control—so you never get a real diagnosis; support replies with copy-paste templates and you get banned for that too. Support is slow, scripted, and unhelpful. This wasted days and delivered nothing. And here’s the kicker: if a review fails, your Google Ads account can get restricted or blocked; you’re forced to wait days before requesting another review, and those reviews are rationed. Burn through a few attempts and you’re effectively shut out of ads for good. Now I understand why so few people stick with this platform and choose alternatives. This isn’t a professional ecosystem—it’s roulette with your business on the line. I’m switching to alternatives immediately so I can actually see my ads delivered.
I am really disappointed in google very limited human support. My account has been suspended from the beginning of the year and still I cannot get any support. I uninstalled and reinstalled and the same suspension comes up even when I create new account. This is so unfair to business owners as we are suffering with getting customers. How are we to pay for ads when we cannot get any business? Why are there no human live chat support daily, 24/7 like other providers and google is rich? I am really annoyed with this. Can I get someone to help resolve this long standing issues. Regards ShelloCB. .................................................................................................. October: Previously, google MC can be a real headache. Time consuming, you just have to have some serious patience. You cant delete anything from it, frustrating and some fixes need you to have contact with outsourcing workers from some countries that has worries of scams.

Hi - you won't need to delete products from Merchant Center because we will keep your Shopify catalog in sync with Google products automatically. The whole benefit of using this App is you don't need to manually micromanage your Google Merchant Center alongside your Shopify store -- we'll do that syncing for you. If you're still having issues with the App, please contact us. I didn't see any support tickets from your Merchant Center ID previously. https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/shopify_3p_support_app
Zero Stars for this app! I have been talking to google support person, Kate for weeks now and my account has been suspended because I changed my url domain name. my store has been online for over a year and all they say they need is my drivers license for verification. I have taken the pictures at least 5-6 times and sent to Kate for review, Finally she said this one will do and get approved. Then I look and there is all of these other issues and she said that they will disappear after I am accepted again. Immediately after submitting my drivers license upon Kate's approval I am denied again. This app is a bunch of crap and will get your store kicked off of google and as far as I'm concerned google is nothing but a headache and LIES! They LIE TO YOU ABOUT EVERYTHING! Good luck with your store, because over a year and endless hours of hard work and no sleep has gone gone the drain. My store is over because of google.
Vor kurzen haben wir unseren Shop zu einer neuen Domain volmer-clothing.com umgezogen. Das wurde im Merchant-Center auch für ca. 1 Monat akzeptiert. Seit 3 Wochen erhalten wir Fehlermeldungen - u.a. "Der Domainname Ihrer Website muss mit dem hochgeladenen Domainnamen übereinstimmen". Die Domain ist im Merchant-Center verifiziert und beansprucht und in den Feeds korrekt angegeben.
I have had many problems with conversion tracking, in Google sometimes the status of my conversions is "Active" however, then alerts start like: "Requires attention - Enhanced conversions requires your attention" and "Inactive tag", so far I have not obtained a solution or satisfactory answer on how to solve it, I check my configuration and everything is configured correctly, I do not know what to do anymore, I have had a negative impact on my campaigns and sales conversions

HI, I"m not seeing any active or submitted cases from you so far. Could you please submit a ticket to our support team so we can begin troubleshooting and can respond to you privately instead of publicly here? In the app, upper right 3 dot menu, click Get Support Or, bottom of the app, click Get Support Or, go directly here and submit a case https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/shopify_3p_support_app

Hi - unfortunately your Merchant Center account has some issues that need to be cleared up. The Google & YouTube App doesn't have any influence in that account issue, nor do we even have access to that part of your account since it isn't part of the app or sync process. I'd recommend reaching out to Merchant Center Support to try and determine why you were flagged and how to resolve it. The team that responds to and reviews your account issues is not the team that builds and maintains this app.
whjat a useless and informative video on a critical part of shopify setup I struggle to find good advice in your help always and this is the kind of BS that substitutes for intelligent thoughtful work TOO BAD YOU THINK THAT I am too stupid to readn and clearly you think of that for most of yoru customers Great that you show this is just a snap wihen it is critical to knwo what you are doing how you are spending money or wasting on google CRAPPPPPPPPPPPP

OK, I'll admit, I'm not sure how to reply to this. I can't find your store that's using our app under this name, so I'm not able to look up any support tickets you may have submitted, or if your current app is already connected and working, or if not, what the issue might be. It seems like you're upset about a help video somewhere, instead of a help center you'd prefer to read through? If you could submit a support ticket through the app I think we'd be able to help wherever you're stuck. If you'd prefer to read through some instructions, you can follow the steps on the app during onboarding (each module you install will walk you through the install and setup steps), or read our help center articles here https://support.google.com/merchants/topic/13686797 If you'd prefer to write your own questions, you can submit a support ticket in the app, or directly here https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/shopify_3p_support_app Feel free to mention the video that caused you to write this review as well so we can take a look and see if it's outdated or condescending.
Esto no funciona, lo tengo todo correcto y no me deja enlazarlo me dice: Permite el acceso a YouTube para poder usar la aplicación Google y YouTube. No tengo youtube ni voy a tener y aunque las seleccione no me deja.

Hi - it looks like after writing this review, you uninstalled and reinstalled and now have connected properly.
Nothing works, no support. terrible

Hi - it doesn't look like you submitted any support tickets to us before writing the review. Submitting a ticket through the app would have gotten you a response within days, but submitting a 1 star review will take a lot longer to fix your problem and I can't directly respond to you like a support agent could. Our agents could have double-checked your access or even manually connected you if there was an issue with the automatic validations. Additionally, it looks like your issue was already resolved. Your products are currently syncing to Google from what I can tell. If you're still having issues, please submit a ticket to our support team by clicking the three dots in the app and clicking Get Support, or by clicking Get Support on the bottom of the app page

Dort finden Sie ebenfalls „Support erhalten“. Hi - you haven't submitted any support tickets to our team since you installed the app. If you click into the Google & YouTube app on your Shopify store, in the upper right there are three dots and you can click "Get Support". That submits a ticket to our support agents. You can also get the same link if you scroll to the bottom of the app and it will say Get Support there as well.
Video doesn't work - you can add one product image, but the themes all require multiple images!
Developer reply ·
Hi - I'm not sure if you're talking about adding product images via product sync, or using the Google Product Studio feature. You are able to add additional item images to your Shopify products and we will sync ALL of those images to Google as well. This is the Products > Media part of Shopify, and it gets sent to Google as Image and Additional Images. I wasn't able to find any tickets or support requests before this review, so I'd recommend you contact our support team with your issue since I wasn't able to figure out which aspect of the app wasn't working for you.
Impossible to get any advice from Google support. They don't answer but only copy and paste their scripts. The nicest answer was that it was too complicated to help solving the problems in the Merchant Centre. Could not tell me WHAT misrepresentation caused the suspension due to privacy rules (???????)
In the Google & YouTube plugin, some previously generated and uploaded primary data sources in GMC (Google Merchant Center)—for example, the one with the country set to Australia, named “Shopify App API,” and with the Feed label “AUD_13723795709”—have recently shown a product count of zero (estimated to have occurred between August 22 and August 25, 2025). Meanwhile, the system has automatically generated and uploaded new similar primary data sources to GMC. Notably, the product count in the new data sources is exactly the same as the count in the original sources before they were reset to zero, and all historical product data has been preserved. This indicates that the products were in fact automatically migrated from the old data sources to the newly generated ones. Only some of the main data sources have this problem, while others do not. The main difference between the data sources lies in the target countries. The question is: Why does the plugin automatically generate new primary data sources?
I've been getting error messages saying that my products are depreciated on Google Shop as they are missing certain values. Apparently this app does not fully sync with the metafields already built into Shopify. The only way I could find to do this was to manually input the metafields for each variant; and I have over 2000 products in my store. When I contacted their support, they never directly answered my questions and instead offered solutions to problems I didn't bring up. This app seems more geared towards businesses with less than 100 products in their store and their customer support is awful.
