We wanted an app that is stable, focuses on real SEO fundamentals, and doesn’t add unnecessary clutter. What makes Smart SEO stand out is its approach. While many other apps only optimize meta tags (or promote “AI” SEO features), Smart SEO focuses on the core that actually matters, essential SEO setup for Shopify, speed/performance-related factors, and other relevant store-side SEO components. Support has also been excellent. The team is easy to reach by email and provided extended technical support to fix issues and keep our store clean and error-free. They also offered an extended SEO audit using external tools and shared the report with us. In addition, they helped us identify crawl errors and warnings in Google Search Console (GSC) and supported us in resolving them. They even assisted with migrating data from other apps we previously used for things like image/alt settings, llms.txt, and HTML sitemap. A special thank you to Todor for his kind, supportive, and humble guidance. With about 3 years of Shopify experience, we have not found many support people who go so far to understand complex, specific requirements—especially for a diagnostic centre business with medical terminology and structured data needs. Todor truly delivered beyond expectations. Overall, we highly recommend Smart SEO for any new Shopify store or any Shopify store currently using messy or overly complicated AI-driven SEO apps. Install it—even the free version—and you’ll likely feel the quality immediately. They also offer a 7-day free trial with all plans. We found the premium plan worth it, and we are currently using it. We plan to use Smart SEO long-term.

WinnSEO looked promising and has a lot of potential. The main limitations for me were the smaller feature set and slower support response. It may improve over time, but at the moment it feels better for testing than for a fully committed long-term setup.

This was the most balanced SEO app in my testing. It handled image optimization, speed improvements, and SEO basics well, and the overall workflow felt dependable. Support and feature coverage were strong enough to make it the best fit for a store that wants practical results without unnecessary complexity.

StitchSEO is useful if your main goal is speed optimization. It feels limited in features beyond that, so it may not be enough for stores that want a more complete SEO toolkit. I would only choose it if speed is your primary need and you do not require much beyond that.

I used this app briefly to bulk update meta tags, and it looks very promising. The ability to use our own OpenAI API to generate meta tags for all pages and products is a big plus. Support was a bit slow at first, but they were helpful and responsive afterward.

Tapita SEO is a strong and established app with a good reputation. My main concern is pricing, which has become heavier than I would prefer, and support can feel extended rather than immediate. It is still a reliable app, but the value depends on whether you need its broader feature set.

We installed WhatFlow on our Shopify store with high expectations, as the app promotes a strong feature set and advanced automation capabilities. Unfortunately, our experience did not match those promises. In practice, most of the default triggers did not execute at all, and only a few triggers configured through Shopify Flow were intermittently executed. This made the automation unreliable and unsuitable for real business use, especially for time-sensitive customer communication. Equally, concerning was the lack of effective customer support. Despite reaching out multiple times, we did not receive meaningful assistance or a clear effort to troubleshoot and resolve the issues. Due to these persistent problems, we have uninstalled WhatFlow from our store and migrated back to the WhatsApp Business API using the WaSend app, which has proven to be significantly more stable and dependable for our requirements. Updating my earlier review based on a recent bad experience. We reinstalled WhatFlow on 5th May 2026 and used it only for initial setup and configuration for 3–4 hours. No automations were triggered, no messages were sent — it was purely a trial/evaluation phase. Despite this, Shopify billed us ₹482.48 for the app in our May 2026 bill. When I tried to reach out for a refund, the 'Get Support' button on the WhatFlow app listing page in the Shopify App Store is not clickable — it simply does not work. Shopify's own support team directed me to contact the developer directly for the refund, but the very support button meant for that purpose is broken. While the concept behind WhatFlow is promising, the current execution, trigger reliability, and support responsiveness need substantial improvement before it can be recommended for production use.

The app does add some code to your theme during installation, which is something to be aware of.
