Rebuy Personalization Engine Delisted

Rebuy is one of the essential apps for easily merchandising our store. I love that I can easily implement gifts with purchase, BOGOs, and promoted items without any coding.

Rebuy has been a great partner for LosReyes. The product works well for our store, but the team is what stands out. Our Customer Success Manager, Zoram, took time to understand where our business is today and worked with us on a plan that fits. He was quick to respond, easy to talk to and followed through on everything he said he would. It's rare to find a software company that treats a growing brand like a real partner. Customer support is severely lacking. Launch theme was delivered late without any communication as to why. Post-launch issues were not addressed and resolved with haste. Data sourcing lacks in many areas.

We have worked with Rebuy for over a year, and it has been super helpful for us. The app helped us to reach and cover some upsells and cross-sells that are helping us to increase our sales.

No matter if you are implementing these section on your own or Replo is completing the whole process for you (which is an amazing option and what I did) they are around for the whole process. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after our experience I feel other merchants should be aware of the risks. A deployment made by Rebuy caused a critical issue on our Shopify store which prevented customers from accessing and using the cart. The issue effectively stopped customers from completing purchases and had a significant impact on our trading until it was identified and rolled back. To Rebuy's credit, their support team eventually acknowledged that the issue was related to an update released from their side and subsequently reverted the change. However, the incident should never have happened in the first place, particularly given that Rebuy was not even responsible for our cart functionality. What has been equally disappointing is the handling of the matter afterwards. The outage escalated internally to Board level due to the commercial impact on our business, yet resolving the issue required repeated chasing, long delays between responses, and multiple escalations to senior management. After weeks of discussions regarding compensation, Rebuy ultimately agreed to release us from our 36-month contract but offered no financial compensation for the disruption caused by an outage that they themselves acknowledged originated from a Rebuy deployment. The platform itself may work well for some merchants, but our experience exposed a concerning level of operational risk. Any third-party app capable of interfering with core checkout journeys should be subject to extremely rigorous testing before updates are pushed live. Based on our experience, I would urge merchants to carefully consider both the technical risks and the level of accountability they can expect if something goes wrong.

Rebuy is much more than just a standard cart cross-sell app—it’s an end-to-end revenue generator. Since installing it, we’ve achieved a 5-figure lift in revenue using a combination of the Smart Cart, Checkout Cross-Sell, Post-Purchase upsells, and dynamic bundling. The features are powerful, but the support makes it even better. Our CSM is a wealth of knowledge and goes above and beyond to teach us how to fully optimize the app for maximum ROI.

I'm a small business owner and we installed Rebuy just over a month ago. The smart cart is fantastic and a very good tool to increase average order value. Clearly says "High converting post-purchase offers" as part of the free plan. The images/video for the app shows these post-purchase offers. Download the app and you can't actually put your OWN offers in the post-purchase journey... they're 3rd party adverts. So misleading. Uninstalled!

Rebuy is a truly interesting app that suits varied applications across our website. The AI Agent is phenomenal and suggests helpful CSS. You can pay for customisation from the Launch Team but we also found the general support was above and beyond helpful. Our contact, Lida, was incredible! She was so thorough and proactive and consistent; a real joy to work with. Thank you!

Maria has been an excellent and responsive representative for Rebuy. She has helped us build our widgets around our product categories and recommendations. We meet weekly and she's ready to dive into our to-do's. Thankfully, Maria will also take the time to review our team's widget setup prior to launch to ensure we've setup our widgets correctly.

We just launched Rebuy a few weeks ago and we love it so far! Affordable price, immediate results that exceeded expectations, and most importantly, incredible customer support. Great experience so far. Onboarding process was smooth and I got our shop set up exactly how I wanted with Anna! Was able to get a new sticky cart to replace our other app that did that, a new bundle offer on the product page to replace another app, add upsells along the way, and post-purchase offers to replace a third app, so this app covered a range of things that we already did, as well as added some other offers that we've seen increase our AOV and overall customer experience! Amazing app with tons of very useful features, and incredible support team :)

I installed this app hoping it would improve my store, but it turned out to be a costly mistake. The setup is unnecessarily complicated and requires constant technical adjustments just to achieve basic functionality. After spending hours customizing it with CSS, I ran into multiple bugs that caused my cart not to display correctly. The result: direct loss of conversions and sales. It’s unacceptable for a revenue-focused app to negatively impact revenue. Support did respond, but none of their suggested “solutions” actually fixed the issue. I even switched themes to rule out compatibility problems, and the issue still persisted. The cart would work intermittently — completely unstable and unreliable. For the price, the quality is extremely disappointing. The interface feels outdated, unintuitive, and far from professional. It does not meet the standards of a serious ecommerce business. In short: this app cost me time, money, and lost sales opportunities. I absolutely do not recommend it. There are far better and more stable alternatives available.

My experience with the activation specialist, Joseph, was amazing. He was so knowledgable and helped me create a great experience on my store.

This is a seriously comprehensive product with exceptional support! There's a lot to it and for a while I felt a little overwhelmed. But we'd implemented a very basic setup (when I say "we", they did most of it for me - I got on an activation call, had no idea what I was doing, so they set up a cart to get us started). That alone gave us a return of 3x the cost and I didn't really do anything! Recently I decided to look at what else it could do - there's a LOT! Realised we didn't need to be also paying for a bundling app, so got rid of that to save some money and move it to Rebuy, and watched one of their Office Hours videos for inspiration. It's so helpful to see them show you what's working on other websites and I could instantly see where we could improve. Got to work on it, got stuck... it was the weekend. Contacted them, got a reply on the Sunday! Set up a call the next day and Joseph fixed what I'd got wrong, made sure it worked properly with my custom theme, answered my questions really clearly, showed me some other stuff and completely helped jump-start our progress! Even with a very basic setup, Rebuy has proven that it delivers more than it costs. With what I've just learned from Joshua, it has the potential to do way more. The app is worth every penny. The support is gold dust!

Dan was our support person. We were cutting over to a new website and needed extra hand holding to make sure our shopping cart was properly working with one of our other subscription apps. Dan stayed with us the whole way through helping us fix and adjust all kinds of small issues. BIG shout out to Dan and the team at Rebuy.

I am most impressed with Rebuy's customer service. Getting in touch with a human was relatively easy over chat, and once I did, this person helped me troubleshoot a complicated Gift with Purchase Cart widget. The widget was not displaying in the Smart Cart, and the customer service agent guided me through each step of the process, accepting my screenshots and sending their own. Rebuy has a large learning curve and requires experience and comfort coding. Onboarding is not fast. Access to a real person is greatly appreciated and necessary. Rebuy prioritizes the human experience, even though they also provide AI agents, and this makes adopting Rebuy as your e-commerce upsell app a viable option.

Its so frustrating. I added the app and after looking at the help sections, I felt so overwhelmed by it all. The cost was a shock too. 44.00$ for an app that allows me to build bundles. No thanks!

*Updated* as of 1/12/26. I was finally contacted by someone to resolve my issues. Christian has apologized and apparently the support ticket was incorrectly categorized. While my experience wasn't the best, they did address everything and got my issues resolved. This app doesn't work well for my type of e-commerce store. However, it would work well for shops with subscriptions and selling products that are consumed and need refills.

I can honestly say, Joseph Huson - Activation Specialist - is exactly what our team needed. Rebuy is an incredible platform with amazing functionalities, but only if used and implemented strategically. Joseph was able to support us by providing clarity and guidance that enabled our team to extract as much value as possible from the app. We are constantly optimizing, and Joseph understands the speed at which we move!

Lots of assistance for other customizations, and the widgets work like a dream. Very expensive, doesn’t work properly, isn’t being improved, and doesn’t use all Shopify API endpoints needed to work correctly. Overall, it’s a useless app.

We haven't started using all of Rebuy's features yet but so far the results are very positive and promising. The one thing I'd say is that I was expecting it to be simpler to use - it's taken us quite a long time to wrap our head around it and every feature is different. However we have received excellent support from our success manager Dante which has allowed us to execute all our plans and ideas.

This app sucks. Stay away from it!!!! SmartCart not working. I've gone through all the help docs and none of them helps because none of them are up to date!!!!!!! Don't even bother with free trial, because their human support isn't there If you don't want to waste 2 hours of your life for a setup that is supposed to be no-code and easy, just stay away from Rebuy

Rebuys team goes above and beyond, we've never received the type of support their team gives from any other app on here, across any app niche. If you get in contact with Steven or Katie, you're in great hands. They've both helped us accomplish many things that most apps support teams would just tell you to hire a dev for. Not only that, their Ai bot is hands down the most well trained out of any I've used, the Ai bot alone can handle 90% of simple CSS customizations, and even some functional tweaks via callback event settings (if it has documentation for it). While the app it's self is of course limited to some degree, and over use of the segmentation/personalization features will slow down your store, it's still a 5/5 when compared to all other available options. Context: Been using rebuy for about 2.5 years now. Thanks again guys!

This app caused many glitches with the shopping cart. I had other discount apps that would not work with it. Make sure you check with your other apps to see if they are compatible to work with this.

Best Customer Service Ever!!! And how amazing that they have a tiered payment system. So small businesses can use the app with most the features without all the fees! But the best part is the actual human connections. Help within seconds with a real human!! The world needs a little more of this.
