The customer service for the Rewind app is fantastic. Vitor spent significant time patiently providing comprehensive explanations (via email and video call) of all of the different elements of our plan and what we need to do to ensure our site can be safely restored if needed. There are certainly aspects to be aware of when using the app - things that cannot be backed up due to privacy, API complexities, etc. But, with help from their customer support, I now better understand what is backed-up and what is not, and can proceed with development plans knowing exactly what can be restored if need be.

Waited on meeting even though I was 9 minutes late and was courtiuos and helpful.

Rewind Backups was easy to install and started protecting our store data immediately. The interface is straightforward, and the features provide peace of mind knowing our Shopify data is being securely backed up. We did experience a login issue initially, but their support team was responsive, helpful, and followed through on all communication until everything was resolved. It’s reassuring to know our store data is protected, and we appreciate the reliability and support behind the application.

Thank-you Vitor! While new to Rewind, I had a small issue and got locked out of my account for a few days. This happened as my free trial was coming to and end. I do feel the confirmation to continue with my paid subscription was difficult, but help response was great.

I can't imagine losing any of my data. Accidents happen and if you delete something by mistake, it's gone. Thanks to Rewind I don't have to worry about that. [Update] - Well it happened :( I had two products open that were very similar and I mistakenly made some of the edits to the wrong one. I went to the Rewind app, found the right version and restored the page. It worked beautifully! [3–31-26 Update] Another app in my store inadvertently deleted all my smart collections. Was able to restore them with Rewind. And their support staff sent me a PDF of my menus so I could recreate them. The other app support wasn’t much help.

I recently lost 17,000 email addresses which we had accumulated over a serious amount of time. Rewind was able to recover all of them for me. They made it easy for me to do this and I totally appreciate this service.

Support have been great responding to my queries and assisting with requests I have made. We have two Shopify sites that use the Rewind Backup app, and their support was happy to talk me through setting up the app on our second site so that we could bundle them both into one subscription. They also have several different types of subscription and helped me choose the one that worked best for us.

I used to love this app, but they brough up the price which is fine (but no notificiation), they had also failed to answer my 4 email requests asking for a JSON hard copy. In fact I haven't heard from them since Christmas time. For backing up your shopify store I advise other options. Thanks ---- Updating this review from Feb 18th as support reached out. It turned out that the email stopped being recognized by their support system. This has since been resolved and with helpful support I have gone back to them as you need good backups and a helpful person/good customer service at the other end. Otherwise it just doesn't work. Regarding price change I just missed the notification. Thanks

I always install this app in my personal projects, and I also have my clients install it. I believe it is essential for any serious business to have an automatic backup of everything, so that they can recover a very recent version of only what is necessary at any given time. We’ve been using Rewind Backups for about a month, and it’s been a great experience so far. We accidentally uploaded a SKU spreadsheet to the wrong store, but thanks to Rewind we were able to quickly revert and avoid any issues.

A week ago, while connecting Shopify to JTL Wawi using the JTL Connector app, I lost all my product data. I was extremely frustrated. The JTL Connector app overwrote all the product data in Shopify with empty rows. A complete disaster! I honestly don't understand why JTL doesn't have a built-in security mechanism for this. Anyway... Luckily, I had recently activated Rewind Backups. When I used the last backup to restore, I was disappointed to discover that Rewinds doesn't save or restore automated backups of the product meta fields I had spent a long time and painstakingly creating. Oh no! My frustration was even greater. Was all the data really lost? When I contacted Rewinds Support, wondering if there was any way to salvage my many meta fields, I immediately received extremely friendly assistance. A huge THANK YOU to Bianca and Stephan. Within 5 days, all the lost data was restored. Hallelujah! As I subsequently learned, automated restoration of meta fields is currently not possible with Rewind's backup. Rewind requires manual intervention. But they do it brilliantly. So, anyone who loses their data (especially product meta fields) but has a Rewind backup should take a deep breath and contact the support team. Miracles still happen. We had cause to need a recovery but had never used Rewind before. They responded to our request within about an hour. I had problems with the new installation and choosing a pricing plan. Biance helped me very quickly and competently. Everything was great, thank you very much.

Installed 3 years ago as a way to make sure I sleep at night but never had a need for it, and personally was slightly questioning the monthly cost. Yesterday we had an issue with an app uninstalling badly from our store resulting in us losing some functionality. An initial restore got most things sorted, reached out to the team and within 2 hours a full restore of other parts was done by the team and everything is up and running again.

I've been using them for years, but never needed to do a back up until last week. It was a very specific backup that I couldn't do myself, but customer support helped after two or three emails.

I have had Rewind installed since 2020 and I've never had a reason to use it until recently when there was an issue with deleted items in our store. The restore process was so smooth and easy, and the customer support was top-notch — responsive, and patient with all my questions. Stephan, in particular, was outstanding and helped me get set up with another feature of our plan that I had not been using before. Highly recommend this app!

I have been using The Rewind Backup app for a while now. It gives me peace of mind to know that if I mess up a theme by changing the wrong setting I will be able to roll it back to last (daily) backup. I can also easilly backup manully if I know I am about to try a change that might not go as expected. It s well for the money to keep our store save!

I had an issue involving what I thought were some unauthorized changes to some of the listings on our store. After failing to find a solution that would help me in the app, I contacted the Rewind Backups support team and explained my situation. I wasn't sure exactly when or exactly what had been altered and I needed a complete snapshot of all the listings exported to me in a file from various dates. They informed me that they don't typically offer the service I needed, but understood my situation and would make an exception for me. This was on a SUNDAY! I cannot say enough about how absolutely amazing my experience has been working with this support team. I truly felt like they had my back 100%. They were quick to respond, very clear and concise in their emails, and free of the kind of up-sell nonsense I've become all too accustomed to when dealing with other support teams. Absolutely exceeded all expectations and I couldn't be happier!

Rewind app is an essential life saver for an ecommerce brand. All critical data in your Shopify store is backed up in case of errors, prevention is key. I uploaded a disastrous csv to shopify yesterday and started to freak out. It wiped all my variant skus out completely and I couldn't fix it. I was like "oh I have that backup app i never thought i would need." I ran it back to the night before and it FIXED EVERYTHING (but inventory). Saved me an insane amount of time. We have recently installed this app to protect us in the event of data loss or other human error related issues. The install and initial backup went smoothly, and the app's interface seems simple enough. Although we're hoping we never have to use it, it's really nice to have the peace of mind that it provides.
