Trashiest dirtiest uninstall ever. I don't understand how Shopify tolerates this. Elevar seeps in every corners of code it is a nightmare to clean up.

I tried to contact them but they wrote a noreply email, the chat of the app is completely stuck. I would like to solve an issue about the upcoming change of the Order Status Page Additional Scripts box as part of the move to Checkout Extensibility. But it's impossibile to contact them :(

I had an issue with tracking for around 14 months. Several community chats, escalations to shopify and contacting 'shopify experts' later I could still not solve what the problem was. I downloaded Elevar and spoke with a client support manager Robin who identified the issue in a day. Every since he's been in constant contact to help iron out all the issues and we're now tracking all our data correctly. Thank you Robin and Elevar!

They continue to charge you after uninstalling and cancelling your plan. Awful support. I am now $700 in charges without even using the stupid thing because it made absolutely 0 impact to my tracking. Don't use unless you like literally lighting money on fire.

As a Shopify store owner focused heavily on growth through paid ads, email, and analytics, I can't say enough good things about Elevar. Honestly, an app rarely overdelivers — most Shopify apps promise big things and end up just being another dashboard to manage. But Elevar blew me away. From a marketing perspective, it's been a total game changer. Within hours of setup, we had server-side tracking, client-side tracking, enhanced conversions, Meta CAPI (Conversions API), and GA4 events firing correctly, without having to guess whether our data was trustworthy. Great app but you need to get the expert set up done. I tried doing it myself and had duplicate transactions/data etc. Once the elevar team got involved, they cleaned up all my google analytics and tags so that the data is now 100% accurate. If you're running ads on multiple platforms, this is a must!

Elevar is extremely underrated. Recommended to us by a business coach - A simple set-up process, helpful hands-on team and fair fee results in paying for itself and then some from almost instantly cleaned data. Klaviyo within itself has raised massively in flow revenue, not to mention GA4 and Meta. Elevar is a no-brainer.

Why Did Elevar Cost Us Millions? One year ago, we decided to improve our conversion tracking on Facebook and Google Ads, so we switched to Elevar. To ensure everything would work flawlessly from the start, we even paid a few hundred dollars extra for their expert installation. To our surprise, once the work was handed over, there was a 35% inaccuracy in tracking—even worse than before Elevar. Despite repeated assurances from Elevar that everything was fine, the issue persisted. Their approach to addressing the problem was superficial at best, and time kept slipping away. The result? Several months of essentially non-functional tracking, during which we spent a fortune on campaign costs while losing even more revenue due to the missing 35% of data and conversions. Running campaigns effectively with such inaccurate data was impossible. When the situation became unbearable, we decided to leave Elevar and requested a refund for the installation and subscription fees. Instead of issuing a refund, they suddenly assigned someone more experienced to fix the tracking. It finally started working properly, but the financial losses caused by their negligence were irreparable. As compensation, they offered us a lifetime 50% discount on the subscription. For a while, the tracking worked. Then we encountered a new issue—this time with tracking in Klaviyo. Shopify launched a server-side integration with Klaviyo, but Elevar failed to notify customers that this major change would affect them. A single email alert could have prevented the losses. As a result, our Klaviyo tracking stopped working, bringing all our flows to a halt. Once again, Elevar's response was evasive—they wouldn’t admit whether Shopify’s server-side integration conflicted with their own tracking. After weeks of back-and-forth communication, it was confirmed that it did. Their proposed solution? Duplicating our flows: one set running on Shopify’s tracking and the other on Elevar’s. This approach was labor-intensive and utterly pointless. More money wasted. Adding insult to injury, during this ordeal, their support casually mentioned that we were on an outdated plan that wasn’t advantageous anymore. Following their advice, we switched to a new plan. Something felt off, so I reviewed their original pricing. It turned out the new plan wasn’t more advantageous at all—it was worse. When confronted, their support responded with the same arrogant attitude we had come to expect. So much for their apology with the 50% discount—it didn’t last long. This isn’t just about money; it’s about principles. Now, five days before our biggest sales event—Black Week—we’re facing another disaster. For two months, Google had blocked all our custom retargeting audiences. After extensive investigation, we discovered that Elevar was at fault again. They had failed to meet Google Consent V2 requirements. For years, we had been using the Pandectes app for Google Consent without issues. However, Elevar implemented a half-baked consent solution without notifying us, negatively affecting the functionality of the Pandectes app. The result? We lost months of retargeting data and spent endless hours communicating with Google support to determine why our audiences were completely blocked. By the way, these audiences won’t reactivate—we are starting completely from scratch. And imagine the impact of losing a 540-day audience window, especially before Black Week! A single email alert from Elevar could have prevented these losses. We’re talking about millions here. So now, with just five days until Black Week, we have no retargeting audiences collected. Elevar’s response? Arrogant as ever. They’re demanding another $1,000 for an “expert installation” to fix the issue—despite knowing the extent of the damage they’ve caused. They’re fully aware we plan to leave them right after Black Week, but we don’t have time to implement a new tracking system before such a critical event. In nearly two years of working with Elevar, the financial losses we’ve incurred are staggering. Even if they offered us a free subscription for a thousand years, it wouldn’t begin to cover the damage. As the saying goes, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Hopefully, someone can learn from our mistakes and avoid the unnecessary stress and financial loss we’ve endured with Elevar.

We are on the Business tier of the app and have found the team at Elevar to be very helpful in getting us onboarded. They have a great technical understanding of both Client and Server-side tracking and GTM.

Great peace of mind to know that conversions and pixels are connected properly. Super easy Shopify integration, we mainly use this as data layer. We also paid for the GTM account cleanup and the person assigned to our account was very knowledgable. Great value for the money.

Amazing and much needed app for an ecommerce shop! It is quite intuitive and relatively easy to install, but if you are doing it yourself, you need to know a bit what you are doing. Elevar has a comprehensive guide to install it yourself, and if you follow it with full attention, you will manage to install it. The support team at Elevar is amazing, fast to respond, and really helpful! This is the best tracking app to have!

Support is non existent. I asked same question 3 times, and got emails with articles not answering my question but rather suggesting I pay them $1000 for integration, seams like a crazy amount to invest in an app right off the bet, when you are not sure if you are going to continue to use it or not!! Should've not bother downloading it at all after the sales person didn't reply to 5 emails.

Sourabh is patient and amazing. We transferred our store to hydrogen and lost some of our tracking data. He totally fixed this problem and even made the tracking better than it was.

Really good app but you need maybe expert to install it. First it doesnt work well on our end. We used Hyros in the past. I worked with Vishal on our expert implementation and he went above and beyond to make sure all of our platforms were connected properly and the tracking was accurate. He also helped with the Events Builder which is another great function of the app. Well worth it to get your tags set up in GTM and server-side.

Excellent customer support. I had some issues initially with the setup and Mario on support was super helpful, clearly knew the technical details of the product and was able to investigate my issues and solve them quickly and smoothly. The server-side events and ability to add Klaviyo events that Klaviyo itself misses is a great plus. Be aware the app requires technical knowledge of Google Tag Manager, so don't expect to just be ticking a box to turn on tracking. If you are technically minded and want that balance of powerful control without having to spend all the time writing your own bespoke solution, this is for you!

Customer service was prompt in responding, but the set up, difficulty, lack of assistance, unappealing dashboard and somewhat misleading app sales page makes this all a waste of time. Might want to bring the technical side of it down a notch and actually offer something above and beyond what is free with GA4. Not worth it.

Update 12/29/23: We just realized that the Data Layer is not at all compatible with Archetype themes (out of stock) and requires a lot of work to make it compatible. For example, all of those events were not tracked for the past 12 months since we didn't realise it and Elevar did not notify us: - View Item - Click Item - View Cart For the price of $150, I would expect to be notified if 1/4 of e-commerce's most important metrics are not being tracked! I's a great app that, although not being cheap, offers great support, a big library of pre-made tags and the ability to monitor any errors. Given the fact that so many things (Facebook, Google Ads, etc.) rely on correct event tracking, I would say it's worth investing in a good data layer.

To be fair, I am not a developer, nor an engineer. The reviews of the app are good, and the need for good tracking is real. So far I am only trying to perform the set-up of the app, and it is complex and time-consuming. I fear that the probability of breaking the current tracking is higher (e.g. it is recommended to remove current tracking code to avoid double tracking), than implementing the app adequately without the need to pay the 1000$ implementation fee. The app provides tutorial videos, which help but are not sufficient.

Adding Elevar has made our data easier to understand.

Have been testing it and can't recommend for now. Conversion tracking for Google Ads with server side performs a little worse than the standard google tracking. Support is good and responsive (thanks to Jonah, who helped me out a lot with my questions). The Setup is pretty complex and will tke some time! Will keep it running for a few more weeks and will update accordingly! Thanks UPDATE: After keeping the server side tracking running for 8 weeks, the server side tracking is far behind the normal conversion tracking! So defintely not the promised result and for the amount of work to set up and the price for 100 conversion (150 dollar/month) I cannot recommend and will switch back to normal conversion tracking which is free and performs way better. REALLY DISAPPOINTED!

Very disappointed with Elevar. I switched to them during the UA upgrade to GA4 and I used them for server side tracking for Google Ads as well. Setup was extremely expensive (USD$ 2000 when I got it) but I was expecting a game changing service based on the other reviews here. I decided to try them after listening to their podcast which I understand now is excellent content marketing. Their product did not help my business however. Setup was never completed correctly and over 3 months of data were lost. Their support claimed this was due to a GDPR compliance app we have installed (Pandectes) but this is the very app they recommend on their knowledge base. When I told their support team I was planning to cancel I was told they could make some config changes to the setup they completed for me, but that they would need to charge an additional $500/month for these changes. At that point it was clear I had been sold a lemon. Their cancellation support is very good at trying to get you to keep the software, so that's also good for the owners, but not the clients so much. They've cleared invested a lot in client retention, which is good for the owner, but not good for the clients. I'm switching back to a Google Tag Manager setup for GA4 and Google Ads and other marketing platforms. This is totally free. Elevar's Google Ads conversion action never recorded as many conversions or conversion value as the Google Ads conversion action during my entire time with Elevar, so if you're planning to install in the hope that you'll get more conversions, I expect you'll be disappointed. To their credit, their knowledge base is very helpful in uninstalling the app. I did appreciate that. Ultimately Elevar ended up losing us over USD 3000 with nothing to show for it.

So pumped that I found Elevar! Amazing product, and incredible support team – AJ is the absolute best, and setting the bar for what support looks like for any software product. Excited to continue using this platform! EDIT: We've now launched and we're even MORE pumped to be working with Elevar. We can already see conversions that are missing _some_ data, and without Elevar, we wouldn't be able to track & attribute these to our different channels. I check it every day with joy, and I'm so happy we found Elevar.
